  1. My order got approved and is waiting for inventory to come in! :) I'm quite excited. I just hope they don't cancel it. I'm starting to think that if they can't verify card billing address with shipping address they will cancel the order, and if you ordered more than one time under the same name. I can't blame them for limiting due to overwhelming demand.

I still agree with those of you that think Sprint had something to do with this. It's the cheapest and easiest way to get people off the WiMax network by letting them have a free MiFi without a contract.

"Money's for Nothin and Your Chicks are free"...free Mifi's and no contract..whoa...whoa..Greeks bearing gifts

among us..AJ, you must have a video or song for this..whatsup with that!...get people off of Wimax, when in my case, I'll

have no LTE love for mostly likely another year hear at the house..yeah in launched markets sounds like a good marketing

tool but in BIG places like OC and SD Cali LTE from what I read here is still a hit-or-miss thing! Please ol Sprint don't

take my wimax away until LTE is solid!!

  2. Just got my galaxy s4.  I tried to do it online using the activate new phone link but it said I needed to change plan so I used echat instead.  Got my phone activated and still on sero-p 500.  Loving the new phone and it picked up LTE for 3 minutes when I was in backyard.

Looking to do the same thing in two weeks, deep; did Sprint insist on an activation fee for the upgrade?

  3. I think as long as Sprint/Clearwire can deploy a single 20 MHz TD-LTE on the 2.5 GHz spectrum, I think its fine to keep the Wimax network up.  There are still people like me that are still relying on Wimax since I am waiting patiently for a tri-band LTE phone to upgrade to.

Keep in mind that Sprint has recently changed the Wimax terms to persuade customers to move to the LTE network.  I see Sprint start making a push beginning Q4 of this year and a very strong push to get customers off of Wimax in 2014.

+1  Like Eric I still depend heavily on Wimax and have two devices and no LTE in sight here in Henderson NV.. so bring on LTE and I'll gladly give up my Wimax devices

  4. I was just up in Pasadena for 4-days and it was really nice having solid, consistent 4G. On my EVO 4G LTE I was averaging 10mbps, but at the same time my wife's iPhone5 was getting about 20mbps.  I'm tired of being teased with 4G around here.  When the Moto X comes out next month, if things haven't improved by then, I'm seriously considering jumping ship. Sprint's done a good job at wearing out a loyal customer. I know the just wait, just wait, things will get better argument...but I've been just waiting since my original EVO 4G wimax days.  I'm on the edge, man..talk me off the edge!

Re-listen to Eric Clapton's mega hit from 1993:  "Runnin on Faith"

  5. Gambling & prostitution go back thousands of years even before the time of the Roman Empire; gambling is legal just about everywhere if you include lotterys;   Wall Street has become a Fed inspired casino; so gambling has become pervasive in our economies and as I mentioned earlier there is loads of collateral damage associated with it; Nevada being dead last in educational scoring is just one metric that comes to mind...but hey, Robert, come on home..we'll make room for ya!  Maybe you could light a fire under our NV/LTE rollout for us (to subtely move back to topic)

  6. Yup, Josh, couldn't agree more..but LV AND Calif (read Indian Casinos) depend HEAVILY on this voluntary form of taxation for their very existence..lots of collateral damage along the way..but hey..being a  Sprint cellular junkie keeps me busy and out of their clutches...so bring on LTE fast!

  7. This thread seems to have turned into a referendum on the new plans as well as the competitiveness of Sprint in general; with an upgrade for me just 2 weeks away I don't really know what I'm going to do with these plan choices; like many we rarely use 450 voice minutes so why have unlimited talk time; what most of us need is cheaper data rates and honestly I just don't see cheaper data for us in the future with the vast proliferation of smart phones & tablets taking over the pc space and making video streaming on a mobile device a reality for millions of people; so for now I'll stay put on the old plans (if they will let me at upgrade time)

  8. I'm two months away from an eligible upgrade and 6 months away from my contract being up..I'm "Runnin on Faith" right now that this circus cluster frock going on now with Sprint Dish & Clear will be in sharper focus one way or another by Dec; I can say that thanx to the 3G NV upgrades in my area my wife & I have never had better voice coverage than we do now..what really counts for me now is if this referenced circus cf will slow down the NV rollout to the point where I am forced to decide between T-MO and ATT..if forced to vote now I'd probably go with Boost Pre paid for voice and just use a hotspot for data until sanity & clarity prevail..

But that's just my point, I'm not generally malcontent. I agree, I avoid those sites because all people do is complain, but if you look at those, those who tend to complain, complain ALL the time. It's what they do. It's what they love. They want everything for free, they want to milk Sprint for every dollar they can. That's why I don't post for help there - they look for ways to scam Sprint.

I like Sprint. I want Sprint to succeed. I want them grow. And it honestly was stressing me out and physically making me sick to my stomach to feel like Sprint just didn't want to hear it. A lot of that came from the response I got from many of the representatives. I worked as a manager in a call center for four years and I know you get good and bad, but all I got was bad. That's why I eventually came here - partially to vent, partially for moral support, and partially for tips on which department might actually be able to help me.

No system is perfect. The seller of my device was the eBay front for http://www.waypharer.com/ (figured it out after researching it further) - so in all likelihood someone scammed them but I wound up being the fall guy. I champion Sprint to my friends and family, and to be the one who ultimately and solely suffers due to a giant loophole in the system was just leaving a really bad taste in my mouth (part of that is also the free coffee at work, but it's free, so I'm not complaining).

Friend..coffee like good quality customer service is NEVER EVER free..sometimes it just seems so
  10. Probably a little off the flow of this thread BUT in keeping with the TITLE of this thread I have to comment that I've had dealings with Sprint CS lately on two occasions where the service & end-result I've achieved couldn't be better...over the last couple of years Sprints CS (not chat, mind you) has gotten significantly better along with the know-how of the folks on the other end of the phone; I mostly avoid chat for the reasons discussed many places here and in other forums..sorry to the OP for his troubles..sometimes sheet happens

  11. Yahoo...looks like the Vivaldi Park tower got upgraded this past week; here are the photos; would the experts (Robert, AJ, Josh et al) weigh in and interpret these photos for me and others; the upgrades are at the top of the tower and at the moment there is NO LTE signal coming from it; lift is still there so I'll swing by tomorrow to see if work is continuing; also it may be waiting for backhaul as there is only one dish at the site

  12. Visiting here from Las Vegas this weekend; SD is my second home city going back to the 70's; no 4G LTE where I am in Oceanside but the 3G is WAY faster than when I was here in February..so something has changed here with NV; 3G downloads this AM were close to 2 mbs; speeds I've never seen before with 3G; 3G is also way better at my house in Henderson...go NV

  13. All very puzzling indeed; perhaps Dish thinks it has a better chance getting Spectrum if Clear IS forced into bankruptcy and as a bonus delays if not derails the Sprint rollout of NV; all that makes sense to me is that DISH seems to be very worried that Sprint will succeed with NV thus in the future making Dish and its vision of the future irrelevant; someone above used the term "desperate";that's what this is..
