  1. B25 and B41 are being deployed at the same time, on different sites.  B25 is being deployed on Sprint Network Vision sites.  B41 is being deployed on Clearwire WiMax sites.  Sprint is also just now starting to deploy B26 in a 6 month stagger behind B25 on Sprint Network Vision sites.  Sprint will also start deploying B41 on Sprint Network Vision sites more toward mid year 2014.

The EVO LTE is not affected by CSFB, so it should not make much difference to go into LTE Only mode except to perhaps connect to a really faint LTE signal that your EVO would not want to hold onto otherwise.  The EVO LTE RF reception on LTE is probably the worst of any Sprint LTE to date.  It can be really, really bad.  If you can get a really good deal on another used LTE device, you'll likely be miles happier.  Or possibly get a cheap Triband LTE hotspot to use with it.

Don't worry Robert, as soon as it hits April, I'm upgrading to the M8. Hope that gets all the Bands :)

Seriously, I love how Denver is going straight to Sprint Spark/LTE-A. Means that these new 2014 phones will live up to its speeds once its up here in Denver. Once its up, AT&T and T-Mo have some catching up to do in the speed department here in Denver. :)

  2. Just a quick question... Is B41 being rolled out first?

I tried getting LTE on Speer the other day, and my phone, being an B25 only phone, couldn't pick up any signal. I tried to force it to LTE Only mode, but Sprint took out that option on the new update to Sense 5 for the EVO Lte. (Last time I pressed LTE Only, all radios but LTE would turn off, I still get the CDMA and EV-DO to turn on when I press it now (According to SignalCheck Pro))

And it won't connect to LTE.

I know the EVO LTE has a problem with connectivity, but I didn't realize it was this bad when I got the phone 2 years ago.

  3. Saw some work done at the Parker Rd. and Cottonwood Dr. tower here in Parker on my way to Lunch at Costco. Looked different from the last time I saw it 2 weeks ago as new antennas were added in the mid-section of the tower, something I've never seen before, and I drive by that place frequently to get Chipotle or Gas at Costco.

VERY Happy seeing that work is getting done here.

Can't wait for it to turn on.

  4. For some reason, quoting isn't working. @realch1nky, no towers in Parker yet but there is a building permit that has been approved by douglas county for 13682 Colorado 83, Parker, CO 80138. It was approved June 24th so I imagine some work has been done on it by now.

I've seen that tower. Its definitely new because when I lived by there last year, it wasn't there. And I pass by usually once a week for costco gas. But I still get crappy signal from that area. Has it been turned on?

  5. I think you're right. Looks like you can get pretty close driving into the neighborhood. Maybe you'll see some activity. Good luck.

No activity yet, can't really drive into the neighborhood without going on a little offroading trip or driving another 7 miles to go around haha.

But I can see the Tower from the Costco here, It would be grand if they turned it on next time I need to get gas haha.

  6. Nothing's up on Sensorly in HR yet. But, Douglas County's planning site shows that a few permits were approved and jobs completed in northern DougCo, including Louviers, Hwy85 @ C470, ~ ParkerRd@470.

Is this that huge tower right before the Parker Road exit on E-470 on your right if you are heading southbound?

    I hope so, can't wait for 4G

  7.

I predict that Douglas County is going to start seeing LTE in the next month or 2. A couple reasons for this claim, I asked Sprint on twitter when 80126 would see LTE and they said in a few weeks. I've asked other times in the past and never gotten a time frame so it is definitely closer. Also, I've been checking the Douglas county website for permits and it seems like Sprint just got over a hurdle. Douglas County has a planning services approval process you go through before getting building permits but they just closed a bunch of those presubmitals (they require a review before the application) with a note that the changes count as maintenance and don't need the planning process. This should fast track a lot of the permits.

castle rock just got 4g like 3 days ago

  8. I was snooping around a bit, and found a tower permit close to my house here in Parker. I have getting in-and-out signal and 1X for the past few days after full bars and 3g for the past few years.

I was wondering if this had to do with anything LTE around here in the Parker area. I can drive to Sports Authority Stadium (not field at mile high. its where my local highschool plays at) where the tower is at since its only a 3 minute drive.

I honestly don't know what the tower looks like and there has been a helluva lot of housing development in the area
