"Added indicators for Sprint LTE band 25 and most second carriers (labeled with ²)."I'm up in Loveland and just noticed a 2 by B25 and was wondering what thats about? Thanks for any info.
As in Carrier Aggregation.

If other lte tower connections are working correctly it's most likely just an issue localized to that location. Give it another week or so to resolve itself.First time posting, long time lurker.
Have had excellent LTE coverage, first on my Nexus 5, now using a Nexus 6, for over a year now. I work at Colorado and Exposition.
For about a week now, I've had issues with the phone connection dropping on LTE, although the icon still will show full or nearly full bars and the LTE symbol. I have to put into airplane mode and back, it'll establish connection, and everything is fine for as long as I'm using the phone. Then I put it in my pocket, pull it out to use again a few minutes later, and the process repeats. If I set the network mode to 3G, it functions normally (i.e. don't have to reset the connection using airplane mode).
I received OTA Marshmallow about 4 weeks ago (first or second day after release) and had no problems previously until 8 days ago. This only occurs at my work location. LTE connection is fine at home (20th and Youngfield) and fine at Children's Hospital (Aurora), Castle Rock Outlet Stores, and downtown (Buell Theatre area) during this last week.
Thanks in advance for any advice on what my problem could be...

Well the evidence that I've found points me that way. But I know very little of this mobile world to say with any degree of authority.Yes, but I don't know what they are. A flagpole site likely isn't compatible with microwave.
A site may be close to a fiber ring, but unless that ring is accessible by the contracted company, it still could have been a year estimate for fiber to be delivered. Microwave is chosen when it's significantly faster than fiber. However, fiber is still prefered, and microwave is slowly being transitioned to fiber where possible.
Are you certain these are Sprint sites connected to microwave, or old Clearwire sites? Most Clear sites went with microwave because it was cheaper. Many are co-located with Sprint, but Sprint isn't using the microwave connection.
What I've found is a specific tower that hosts other providers along with Sprint. I don't believe it was a clearwire site previously but that's mostly based on fcc records. The fiber contractor that ran fiber to other towers in the area, including one up the street that is just as close to the fiber trunk, shows that it laid no fiber for this tower.
Per the fcc website, this tower has microwave antennas that are owned by a company that provides microwave backhaul.
This tower went live around the same time that the other towers in the area went live.
Do carriers that are on the same tower ever share microwave backhaul connections?
-
Okay, so is there a certain set of circumstances that would make whoever makes those decisions, decide not to go with fiber? The reason I ask is there are several towers in my area that run fairly close to main fiber runs that use microwave instead of fiber.Sprint doesn't own any towers.
-
Is microwave backhaul mostly used on non Sprint owned towers?
-
Not impossible but expensive. It looks like a long run that goes up several hundred feet in elevation in an already developed subdivision. Why would fiber not be possible?
-
Any other options on a site that doesn't look hospitable to fiber?Pretty low. Unless the connection is not on the flag pole.
-
What are the chances of Sprint doing a microwave backhaul to a flag pole style site?

Interesting information " Signal Boosters in the 800 MHz SMR band only once nationwide band reconfiguration is substantially
completed. And we hereby direct the Public Safety and Homeland Security and Wireless
Telecommunications Bureaus to determine when the nationwide reconfiguration is sufficiently complete
to permit the use of Consumer Signal Boosters in the 800 MHz SMR band, and to issue a Public Notice
announcing the date Consumer Signal Boosters may be used in the band.
41.
Broadband Radio Service and Educational Broadcast Service 2.5 GHz Band. We will
not permit the use of Consumer Signal Boosters in the BRS/EBS 2.5 GHz band at this time. Sprint
maintains that it is in the public interest to allow signal boosters in the 2.5 GHz band.90 WCAI, however,
opposes the use of Consumer Signal Boosters use in the 2.5 GHz band.91 We generally agree with WCAI
that the 2.5 GHz band should be exempt from Consumer Signal Boosters, at least at this time, because of
the historical license uses that have been grandfathered in the 2.5 GHz band.92 Specifically, the 2.5 GHz
band contains legacy educational and commercial video systems that would not be compatible with the
use of signal boosters.93 In view of the forgoing, we will not permit the use of Consumer Signal Boosters
in the BRS/EBS 2.5 GHz band at this time." from http://www.fcc.gov/document/use-and-design-signal-boosters-report-and-order

The port is clean as a whistle. More like the port wiggles after cable insertion. If the cable doesn't go in all the way take an razor blade and clean out the port on both sides. They pick up a lot of lent in your pocket. Had to do that on both my m7 and m8.

Has anyone else had issues with their micro USB port? Mine appears to now be loose and causing issues trying to charge it. Sprint wants to charge $75 to fix it.

No. But you'll have great signal down there from what I see. Glad Sprint got down there, Boulder wasn't set up yet.
I think we might of even met in Boulder, there were a lot of people so I don't remember but your name sounds familiar. Yeah great LTE whenever I go down there. It seems like up North is filling in nicely though.

Berthoud is brimming with 4g goodness. I play a game called Ingress and it causes me to drive around a bit using data and boy Berthoud is just awesome. Loved showing it off to the wife tonight.
I have to ask, can I assume you are Enlightened since it sound like you were farming Berthoud? What's your in game name?

When the Parker cluster was accepted, 1x800 went online. Check out the Colorado Sponsors thread and you'll see that they've been online for some time.
All of the towers I connect to show as 3g or 3g/4g on the sponsors NV completed map. None show as having x800

They are working in the tower closest to me so my phone is connecting to the other three in the area and they are all connecting at x800.why do you say this?

Looks like Parker is switching over to x800

You posted from a Samsung Galaxy S4. You do not have a Tri-Band device. If you did, it would have the Spark icon at the top, not 4GLTE.
As in his S4 isn't the Tri-band variant?

Seems like site acceptance has trickled in Colorado over the last couple of weeks. Good news is that at least Denver is issuing permits so maybe it will pick up here shortly?
