I'm seeing eHRPD in Waltham on 128 by Totten Pond Rd for the 1st time.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that last week I kept dropping calls in this area and going into roaming.

What are the chances that they also allow LTE sites in other cities to be found also?

Has anyone received the LF9 software update? Do you know what it fixes?

I was reading the minutes of the Waltham city counsel meeting and sprint applied for 2 permits to work upgrade sites. I can see that one was approved. Glad its the one close to me. Hopefully this is another sign that NV and LTE are coming my way.

Here is the Special permit application

Sprint, 1 International Blvd, Mahwah, NJ 0745 and Pinnacle Towers, Inc. Sarasota, FL. hereby

petition the Waltham City Council for a special permit pursuant to Sections 3.512, 3.621, and

10.56 of the City of Waltham Zoning Ordinance, to modify, operate and upgrade a wireless

communication facility on the existing building located on the property located at 39

Sachem Street (Atlas Map R0033, Block 001, Parcel 0005), including replacing three (3)

wireless antenna with (6) wireless antennas mounted to the Lattice Tower and painted to match

same. The Petitioners also propose to replace two (2) ancillary cabinets with two (2) new cabinets locates on existing steel dunnage, install nine (9) RRH mounted to the wireless

antenna on the tower, install one (1) Fiber Distributions Box mounted to ice bridge supports.

Replace a small Global Positioning System (GPS) antenna, which is necessary for E911

compliance. The proposal is shown on the Plans submitted by the Petitioners, which are

incorporated herein by reference.

I dont see lots of uses for them just yet, I just have one in my car to toggle my bluetooth on and off.

I have one on my desk at work that toggles silent mode on or off. I also have another that automatically checks me into my job on foursquare.

I have to admit I thought I would be able to do more with one tectile. Example toggle silent on and off and check in. It only seems like you can do only one type of thing (multiple settings & apps) (phone & text)(location & web) (social). Correct me if I am wrong but it seems as if you can only focus on category for each tectile.

Can you provide any details on the problems with S-Voice?

I would speak to it. It would spell out what I say on the screen, and then it would say "Say Hi Galaxy" again. It did this over and over until today.

My s-voice just started working again today although it is slow.

Is anyone else having problems with S-voice? I can't get my s-voice to respond to what I am saying.

How about standard dBm units instead of "bars," which can vary among products?

 

On my Epic 4G, the "bars" display corresponds to the following levels:

• 0 bars = -106 dBm
  
• 1 bar = -101 dBm
  
• 2 bars = -96 dBm
  
• 3 bars = -91 dBm
  
• 4 bars = -86 dBm
  
• 5 bars = -76 dBm
  
• 6 bars = -65 dBm
  

What are the equivalent levels on your Galaxy S III?

I have 6 bars right now -70 dBm 16 asu

I just got my tracking, so hoping to see it tomorrow.

I specifically ordered the 32GB figuring that if one would have delays, it would be the 16GB. Shows you what I know.

I think they thought the same thing and Samsung probably didn't allocate enough.

When did you order yours hnic91? Did you order from Sprint directly or somewhere else? I checked my order status on Sprint website and mine says on back order. I ordered mine five hours after they went on sale on June 5th on Sprint's website.

I ordered mine on the 6th. I used the DM order number that I received from a sprint employee. The oy order number for me says backordered also.

I just checked my order and while it doesn't include a tracking number. The status says shipped or activated.

They gave a lot more info about this event then they did or the Boston event. Sounds like the same exact layou as the Boston event. Also let's me know thos preorders aren't coming till earliest Wed. They won't release them before this event.

People who rely on WiMax should not upgrade until LTE is available in their area. Good call.

I don't get WiMax 10 miles outside of Boston, and when I do go into Boston most of the time it isn't worth it to turn on 4G, so getting an LTE phone works for me.

Or if you cheat at musical chairs (yes, I’m talking about you man) by physically pushing people out of the way and blocking one chair at all times…that’s wrong. Yes…I’m hating the player, not hating the game.

Wow musical chairs was hilarious that guy was drunk. I'm glad they called a tie cause I didnt want to see a fight (or maybe I did?). They threw the old lady to the floor just reckless.

I did a speed test in the building at 7 tonight connected to WiMax and I got 2194 kbps down and 220 kbps up.

I did ask when is launch day and the Samsung person told me that she could not tell me even though she knew.

Quick disclaimer this is my first video of a phone so I really didnt know what to look at or do. Amateur video lol

One thing I did notice is I was trying to find an option to turn on 4g and I could not find it. It wasnt in the drop down menu or settings.

I went to the event tonight only makes me want to see that tracking number even faster. Love the phone glad I didn't buy the EVO.

Random thought..... but I shake my head at the best buy preorder confirmation I got. It said "expected delivery date: june 11-12". Oh really best buy? Ya know something sprint doesnt?

 

Oh well! Our wimax protection site went down this week... bring on that sweet svdo and gorgeous screen.

Someone on the sprint forum said that a rep told him the 12th but it was assumed maybe the rep made a mistake. This is interesting because the event is going to be held on the 12th. Maybe this is a way to beat Apple to the lawsuit by getting the phones in through customs a week earlier than thought.

Nice, that was my thinking also Robert. The 32GB being less popular. Ahh, to be able to upgrade now. I guess having to wait a month after it releases will hopefully ensure it will be readily available when the time comes. But thats the exact trim I would be going for!

I ordered the 16GB pebble blue S3 first thing this morning so hopefully I get it with no problems. I will be going to the Samsung event in Boston on Tuesday hopefully I will get so good pics from my Epic 4g.

Placed my preorder this morning. 32GB in Pebble Blue. Part of me is afraid that if there are delays, it might be only a certain size or certain color. But I've rolled the dice. My thinking is that 32GB will be less popular and maybe they will have less trouble with the preorders.

 

There was no mention of delivery date, shipping info or launch date in the order pages.
