  1. So I've updated my iPhone 6s+ to the iOS 11 beta #2 and I am now able to handoff from wifi calling to the LTE network. When the call transfers to LTE, the quality of the call gets better and the slight delay/lag that I experience on wifi calling diminishes. Also to add, when I am still on the call that transferred from wifi calling, I continue to receive other calls over LTE until I hang up. Once I hang up, the Sprint carrier name disappears and then comes back shortly. I also am able to add up to 5 people on a conference call. Call quality is great over LTE so far but I only experience it when I handoff from wifi calling.

  2. Disable WiFi calling. Under settings-phone-wifi calls-update address and click disable. This is an occasional problem I had when wifi calling was enabled so I disabled it.

PS- turning off the wifi calling feature on the phone won't help, you have to remove it from you account under update address

  3. Wifi calling disabled HD voice :-/. That is why I disabled it by clicking update address and clicking disable service, this is the only way to get Hd voice back. I don't really need it, though it's a nice feature to have.

  4. I'm have an IPhone 6 and I can say that sprint is working well throughout Houston. I'm on b41 Almost always outdoors but indoors it'll switch to b26 which is quite loaded compared to b25 but data is still usable on b26. They do need to fix the b25 and b26 load balancing but my data is usable all over town compared to 2 years ago. My phone tends to work better throughout the galleria area compared to my other friends with T-Mobile and ATT( which there LTE here has slowed down dramatically)

Voice services here in Houston are very good and infact hadn't had a dropped call in ages.

  5. 1xA 800 makes a huge difference! In this room I usually have around -100 and it usually is very hard to place a call on 1xA 1900 as it takes a while for the call to connect or sometimes it doesnt connect at all and I get an error saying "out of the coverage area"

My friends have to use my phone sometimes to make a call here becuase tmobile has 0 service in here... they could use wifi calling here but they dont.. i dont know why

  6. Well if band 26 had -110 for calls and b25 had -139 for calls.. I could see dropped calls in transition

I understand that bands do switch constantly, but I'm in the exact same room and all it does is switch back and forth. No stability. Plus I'm not seeing any type of significant improvement when it actually holds on to b26. How will b26 stabilize in my house if their is b25 around.

I got between 1-2 bars before, but never stable enough to make a phone call or use the internet.

I know the LTE was 800, but don't even know how to check to see if I got 800 voice.

My question still is... How will anything change since I can get b25 and b26 in the exact same spot? What will help my situation?

Probably b26 is coming from a far signal. So was b41 that travelled like 10 miles or was it b26. Can't remember. Any place for me to check b26 progress in brooklyn?

    Very very confused

I can't tell if you are trolling or not -__-

Your calls aren't dropping because of the lte signal...you are not on VoLTE

Calls are connected over 1x(1900 or 800)

You have to turn off lte in order to see what frequency your calls are going through, my guess would be the normal 1900 since you have an iphone...

B26(800 lte) is the band that has the best in building penetration for lte. B41(2.5ghz) has the most capacity but doesn't have the best propagation compared to b26

As for b26 they just enabled it and probably haven't adjusted the down tilt.

For your dropped calls it could be that either they are working on the tower in your area or you have a very weak 1x signal and your iphone doesn't switch over to 1x 800 because iPhones are like that... They prefer 1900 over 800 (for now)

Your "situation" will get better once they adjust the down tilt and have b26 and 1x 800 more widespread and adjusted

  7. Well I'm hoping they add some small cells to the mall eventually. Because data over on that side of town generally sucks for all carriers. Band 26 is great all over pearland thoughSent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Data has improved greatly in that area with LTE, I was at a restaurant (Gringos) and I was the only one with a fast data connection. My friend with Verizon had 1 bar of 1X and my other friend had ATT which had 1 bar of HSPA (4G). They were both unusable but I had a LTE connection and was able to open and load Instagram in a matter of seconds while the others struggled. This is because of the Sprint tower being right next to the actual mall, it would be nice to have small cells but it's not needed while on LTE there but 3G is a different story. 3G EVDO in Pearland is equivalent to 1X so people with Non-LTE phones are never able to send even an iMessage.

  8. Its nice to see someone else in Pearland! I know all the land rights in silver lake are screwy so maybe that's whySent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Wow I thought I was the only one. That is true... I hope sprint adds a few towers here because the new site is shorter and it served many many people and it covered a good portion of silverlake. Not to mention the high data traffic during the weekends.

The old tower could be slated for decommission once everything is operational on the new site, this happened in my home town of Bristol.  A tower that was home to Sprint CDMA, Nextel iDEN, Verizon, and AT&T had to removed due a commercial development that was to be constructed where the old site once stood.  Crown Castle built a new site across the road to accommodate all the wireless providers, plus the city added a public safety 800 antenna for enhanced coverage.  Sprint installed legacy equipment on this site that was on the old site, crews were not around to add the new equipment at the time.

The old site is probably going to be decommissioned because the only carrier located on it was Sprint and In the past Nextel

  9. I was at the Pearland town center and noticed that the sprint network vision equipment was gone from the tower and the legacy equipment remained. I see behind the tower that there is a new shorter monopole tower and I looked closer and saw that the equipment was relocated to a site that is a few feet away from the old one. Why would Sprint relocate to a new site that is literally less than 10 feet away from eachother?

I will try to get pictures I was driving and was unable to take any
