  1. I ruu'ed my phone today and was able to make a call. Hopefully it continues to work as well. Scott Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk
  2. Anyone having major usability problems? I get data/ 3g and 4g fine but I can not make calls at all. It usually disconnects within 5 seconds. Often I will see bars then it will disconnect and go to 0 bars. I'm rooted and have customs roms, but I always have. Every phone forever has been rooted. I'm in the Port Huron area and we have had the network vision for some time. I can't seem to get a lot of help because im rooted and custom. I plan to ruu today and try it, but even my wife has had problems on her stock iphone 4s. I'm starting to get frustrated. Did I miss something? Anyone else with problems? HTC One rooted with BadBoyzs rom. also tried ViperOne 4.3 rom. Scott
  3. The crew I talked to in kimball township, outside of port Huron packed up and was headed to upgrade a tower in Lapeer. Just in case anyone lives out that way.
  4. I have had moments of being connected and having slow or no data transfer. Sometimes later, maybe 5 or 10 minutes it will be fine. Ususually I just lock my phone on 3g and it's fine. I was assuming that it was because the lte in my area is pretty new. Fortunately even 3g is pretty quick with the back haul done.
  5. I just talked to a crew from Henkels and McCoy who claimed they are contracted by General Dynamics working with Sprint that are doing the LTE upgrades he claimed for Eastern Michigan. The sight being worked on is at 2203 Wadhams Rd Kimball, MI 48074, which is St. Clair County. Not sure how much it has been announced, but he was told that the backhaul for the sight around here was supposedly complete already. He said it takes 2 to 3 days for them to finish usually. Any idea when it usually comes online for us after this point. I realize there is usually site testing, but I got the feeling from other posts that sometimes we can also pick it up. I'm excited; I work quite a bit in that area. This is the first crew I have seen doing upgrades.
  6. Reading more about this phone and it's LTE performance kind of saddens me. I'm not the big Sammy fan like everyone else seems to be. They just feel light and plasticy to me. I'm even less of a Apple fan. I love the solid feel of HTC phones. Wonder if I will have to pony up for the ONE! UGH
  7. There are a couple accepted sites that I have connected to in St. Clair County lately. My phone seems to connect to LTE without trouble, but then it stalls. Could sprint be fine tuining the system, or "more likely" is this an issue with my EVO LTE? I'm running Mean Bean 3.09 Rom. I have read of some of the issues with this phone, but when these towers went live, it seemed to work really well for me, and now not so much. At lease not without cycling airplane mode a few times first. I have always been within a mile and had "decent" signal i thought. I have learned about the different signals (love this site) and i'm checking the right spot.
  8. I noticed that a tower in Fort Gratiot was showing as accepted. I took a drive all around it and couldn't connect just after lunch. Later today I was shopping at Meijer and Boom I was connected to 4g. The signal doesn't quite reach my house but its within about a mile. I'm really excited. Fort Gratiot is the township just north of Port Huron. I mapped some of it today. I will add more to it soon on sensorly. Cheers, Scott
  9. I haven't made it to Swartout, but I connected to 4G at Shea Rd and Palms and it stayed connected all the way to Morrow Rd, then I turned around and headed north on Starville up to Shortcut Rd. I stopped here to do a speedtest. I will keep roving a bit to see how far north I can make it. Can't help but smile!
  10. Maybe its on Swartout rd. I will be back down there tomorrow and will look closer. I didn't find it until later today.
  11. I pulled over today to write something down at Indian Trail and Booth Rd in China Township i St. Clair County, and happen to look at my phone and it was connected to 4g. I opened Sensorly and did a speed test to check the connection and downloaded about 5mbps down and 2mbps up. After that it dropped the 4g and wouldnt re-connect. I am getting pretty good 3g speeds there too comcared to usual. I'm not sure exactely what tower I was connected to and I tried to find it with an app without luck. Woot woot!
  12. I drove around the New Baltimore area trying to put more purple in the map the other morning. I picked it up on County Line Rd near M-29 but couldnt get data to work despite having ok signal. Or what appeared to be ok signal anyway. When I entered New Balitmore it started working. I work exclusivly in St Clair County so I'm super excited for us to get some going to test out. I will map the crap out of it then! I guess i'm addicted now. I keep checking Sensorly for another tower to come online. I did the same thing when Comcast ran the new wiring for internet a few years ago. I watched the trucks string all the wire all over town.
  13. When you say the "site is ready", do you mean permits? Or something physical that it needed? (new fiber, microwave or something)?
