Lte in redlands?!? time to get mapping!
-
I'm here but its only connecting to 3g I guess the lte signal isn't very strong
-
I would think so, but the only way to know for sure is for someone to go in there and map it. Better take your charger with you, and an extra battery, lol.
Haha yup. I'm going there today so I'll try to map it.

I know this isn't inland empire, but is there lte at Knott's berry farm? I saw some lte on sensorly on beach blvd right next to it but not inside it. The late signal from that road should reach there right?
-
That sucks. Unfortunately, I always recommend that people research the phone you buy. You will be stuck with it. You could look into the early upgrade program. You could sell your phone on craigslist then buy a new one. I have an EVO lte and sgs2 for sale.
Yea I didn't research it enough. It was my first smartphone buy. I'll pass bit thanks.

30 minutes? That's very unusual for them to say that. wow
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Forum Runner
I called sprint technical support.... they referred me to Samsung.... I talked to Samsung they referred me to sprint... its a never ending cycle..
-
I have talked to Samsung they say this problem is not common and didn't know how to fix it so I left. Technical support at sprint also didn't think this problem was common. They said if a webpage can load under 30 minutes your phone should be OK.....woooow

From the 1st to the 2nd, I'm doing worse, but I've had this one longer than the first GNex. I've heard rumors they added the Galaxy Victory to the trade out list. Maybe it'll be a better phone in the long run.
Can you show me the source you found this information?
-
It is always the discretion of the tech in the store. Or his/her supervisor.
All the sprint stores I call, the employees didn't sound like they wanted to offer a replacement :\ bad luck I guess
-
I said I heard rumors. I'm hoping they are true.
Do you think they would tell you if you could get a replacement phone because of the bad radios in the galaxy nexus over the phone?
-

You sure about the galaxy victory on the trade out thing?
-
You are stock rooted? Yes you would have to relock the bootloader. Are you having it overheat on you? I can use Forum runner for 15 minutes and it'll be over 100 degrees, and 10 more minutes after that it's over 111.
Yes im stock rooted. Okay i will relock the bootloader, and yes it does get up to 120 sometimes... i cant feel it through my otterbox case though but when sometimes when i turn on my phone, watch a youtube video, and check out my battery stats its like 104...
-
So if I go into a sprint store and tell them about the radio problems on my Galaxy Nexus they will replace it? And would I have to relock the bootloader for them to even take it?

I hope they have. Way better battery life + better radio and equal processor.....better than this gnex in NY opinion. Gonna call today thanks

Yep, and on Monday I'm going to go back in to the store hoping to get something better, otherwise I have tech support to help me if the store doesn't help.
They don't let you buy a new phone right? They just replace your nexus? Well what good will that do?
-
Probably. If your school has WiFi, my suggestion is to lock on to it, and use it to keep your battery life up.
Have you called sprint about this before? I'm sure you have. Did they replace your phone if you did? This is very frustrating...
-
Mine drains on 3G and Wi-FI equally as fast. Yes, it drains fast too. And for the most part, data download speeds are around 100-250k and upload is .5 Mbps. Typical for an overburdened site.
Ah because at school my phone sits in my pocket and goes down like 3-4 percent per hour in my pocket but at home when my phone is on WiFi and sitting in my pocket the percentage doesn't change ever. Could it be the constant WiFi connection?

In some areas I have a problem connecting to eHRPD in the Lower Central Valley, but when I'm in the LA Metro or Vegas Markets, I have no problem with it.
What's the average speed test you get on your nexus and also does your battery go down quite a bit when its idle and connected to 3g more than when its idle and connected to WiFi? Because mine does and its quite irritating
-
Does the ehrpd radio have problems?
-
Is there any fix for this?
-
OK this is weird.... I did a speed test on my dads iPhone and got 1.8 MPs down. And then I did a speed test in the same place right aftermy on my galaxy nexus and I got only .8 MPs down and I did another one on the iPhone and still got over 1 MPs. Whyget does my nexus get lower than the iPhone 5?
-
How do I find that out?
There is an app called netmoniter. You can see where the tower is that you are connecting to. Then you can drive by it and taken a picture of it and we can tell u if it is or not unless you already know what they look like.
-
I live by corner of University and Lugonia. Right behind university football stadium
You're not connected to an nv site right?
-
here are my speeds for Redlands, CA
Where???! What streets?
