I go to the University of Texas at Austin and picked up 11 mbps across the river! The pace is so slow though! Is it gonna stay at 3 towers a week?

Was in San Antonio last night and was able to connect to LTE on the way home to Austin. Connected to about 3 towers along 35 until I reached San Marcos; my signal dropped down to average-speed 3G at that point. Very promising results (although at 10 PM, I'm guessing there aren't too many people on the network); I got 30 Mbps at one point. The other times (when I was close to the tower), I got 24 Mbps, and when I had 2 bars, I got 8 Mbps. Not bad at all.

They are only going to maintain the network until 2015. They don't want to just abandon all of the people on their (admittedly joke of a) 4G WiMAX network. Who knows what will happen after 2015, but I'm guessing they'll put LTE on there or just dismantle it. They could also continue the network for Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile, who just announced their 4G WiMAX networks piggybacking off of Sprint's network.
