  1. If you had Sensorly running the whole time without LTE discovery running in Cycle while not connected mode then you could have missed a bunch of LTE. Your phone was busy uploading points and never had a chance to scan for LTE.

I was there for days, like a week.

Went back to El Paso before coming back to Indianapolis. Sensorly runs 24/7 on my phone. If it was there, it got it.

  2. Hey everyone in Illinois market.

I was over in El Paso (got married) and then went over to Galesburg and Knoxville. I had Sensorly running the whole time on my phone.

Got 4G on US24 by Washington/Dee-Mac Road area as well.

Got 4G in Knoxville (that's my one little blurb there south of 74 on the map) and east of Knoxville on 74.

Not a damn thing in Galesburg. Never made it over to Monmouth or down to Macomb.

  3. I would think Macomb is well underway as those sites have had fiber for sometime now. That was installed back when iPCS was still in charge of the network there. The tower on the east side of town appears to have the NV antennas installed. If I remember right the south side (WIU) antennas are on the water tower. I would hope they are working on that one but I'm not sure how they are going to do that without disrupting service. They have that rack completely filled with antennas (4+ each side). Earlier in the thread it was mentioned that speeds are getting better in areas in Bloomington. That would suggest that work is taking place on the backhaul.

Mind getting some Sensorly on next time you're up in McDonough Co?

  4. i did the same thing the week before when bestbuy had the 50.00 deal on all carriers. i left verizon to go to sprint for unlimited and had to wait about 3 hours but had them match amazon for a 1 cent on all 5 of my galaxy s3's on my plan. it was alot easier than i thought. walked out with 5 s3's and only paid a nickel. now i just need lte in greenfield

Yeah I went over to Dayton last night, and didn't have LTE at all, once I got a bit into Hancock County.

But otherwise, I'm satisfied so far!

  5. Ladies and gentleman. I am pleased to announce......

DANVILLE HAS SPRINT LTE. Strong LTE.

I got outbof best buy and installed sensorly. Drove straight home.

Should see my mapping sometime soon I hope.

I also scored an S3 for a PENNY on a pricematch with Amazon. Also met a cute girl there too.

Bedtime and will chat tonight after I get to work. This morning has been an ultra win for me.

  6. Verizon and AT&T customers are stingy with their data and not willing to share it with Sensorly crowd sourcing. Sprint customers freely use Sensorly and RootMetrics because we have no data caps.

    ZING!!!! lol

I sold my Verizon unlimited line with my nexus as a package deal, and then snatched a 4S and activated it on Page Plus for now.

I keep doing research on this LTE for Sprint, and the cost/benefits are better. Man, I got tired of paying Verizon 110 per month for a SINGLE LINE

  7. Okay. Drop me a PM and maybe we can get together for some fuel money and a cup of coffee/cappuccino/whatever you want.

I like Sensorly, but don't trust the accuracy at this point. I have Verizon LTE in all these places, but they don't show on the Sensorly map at ALL, and it's been around for a year.

I know someone has to be running the app, etc.

  8. Has there been any updates into Hendricks County? Specifically, Danville, Clayton, West side of Painfield? Anyone been out here with an LTE phone that can say if they have LTE out here yet? I see the Sensorly coverage for Avon.

I am even willing to pay some fuel money for someone to bring an LTE phone out to Danville/my house, Clayton, and West Plainfield. I don't know anyone with a Sprint LTE device yet.

I'm looking to make the switch to Sprint.
