  1. I am only receiving 3G service in Grand View on North Star road on Northwest blvd I usually have a strong signal of all 3 variations of LTE and as I drive around testing I know the saying that the speed I'm getting is about one down when I finally get on to 4G. It seems like the power goes up-and-down on the tower because I will be able to receive it inside for a few moments and then it goes away again . I've been using signal Check pro.

    Any insight

  2. Man, I left sprint for about two years (since I last posted) and am now back with a GS7 and I'm amazed at the progress made on speed and better coverage. I love WiFi calling too big savior when  i'm at moms house with no service visiting. Anyways, are there plans to switch to VoLTE and use the wifi calling handoffs to VoLTE like Tmobile and Verizon do? That would be great. Wifi calling right now is kinda like an (dare I speak its name) air rave.

  3. Hello,

I was a poster in the Columbus NV forums up to a  year ago. I moved to Cleveland in September, I've upgraded to the 6+. I'm wondering when Wadsworth in Medina Cty (where I work) will get SMR anytime soon? On my previous galaxy I would see B25 and B41 but never B26. Now I have the iphone 6+ I'm hoping maybe somebody can show me how to get to the debugging screen on the iphone where I can see which band of LTE I am using. Right now I have got it to show me the -101 Sprint LTE in top of phone instead of showing bars. Would greatly appreciate it :) Hope I can post as more upgrades happen in the area as my drive between West Side of Cleveland and Wadsworth is a long trek...

    Peace!

  4. Hey I finally got it again. I believe that's 25 (as the bird flies) miles from me.

Could have been where you were holding your phone or where it was sitting where it lost 1900 which would trigger 800 to come in.

  5. No one has made it down there yet to grab them yet. The address is listed on the sponsor side.

Today's post has been brought to you by Sprint, the letters GN and the number 2.

I tried yesterday to no avail. I approached it from every angle and even same spots on highway as sensorly reported. All i could get was a very strong 3G signal with 2.1 download

  6. Yeah my parents live right on 33 and Pickerington Rd, their service kind of sucks even with the tower being less than a mile away.I knew the hard hand offs would happen, but not for as long as they have been. It's been over a month now. I will be keeping my sprint account with 5 lines open, but my primary line is becoming Verizon because of a new job requiring it. I'm going to try out this AWS theyre rolling out and see if its any good :)

As for the non-usable data and dropped calls, you are experiencing the incompatibility between the legacy Motorola cell sites and the NV Samsung sites. For me, from along 33 and about Bowen Rd to Hamilton Rd is totally useless. It gets better to almost 270 and then is again unusable until almost 104. The latter is due to a lack of coverage. It's not too bad if you flash a 800 priority PRL as you'll be on NV sites through most of that area.

As for the WiMax TDE2600 rollouts, I'm not sure if they've started or not. The WiMax site on Shannon Rd west of Brice looks a little different. T-Mobile has definitely put 4G on that cell but I think the WiMax antennas look a little different.

Something I did notice on the way home tonight was that the Basil Western Rd tower was not allowing data connections, only voice. That may mean good things to come soon. When I snapped this, I had passed the cell and was about a half mile away.

  7. So does anybody know if Clearwire/sprint has started shuttering WiMax sites and doing some 2.6 ghz work (i assume)  I'm noticing increased speeds on WiMax but also decreased coverage in areas around canal/pickerington/reynoldsburg which correclates to the NV work thats being done in the area. I have had the patience of a saint during the upgrades but I literally drop my calls about 5 or 6 times on my way home (refugee to gender to groveport road) Where before NV i dropped once on Groveport road.

  8. Will this feature tri band?

On another note the galaxy note 3 isnt as exciting as I hoped unveiled today ships the 25th of september

151.2mmx79.2mmx8.3mm. 5.7-inch SuperAMOLED 1080p display with 368 ppi pixel density 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, or 1.9GHz Samsung Exynos Octacore depending on market. Android 4.3. 13 megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel front camera. 3GB RAM. 32 or 64GB storageMicroSDXC card storage expansion. Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11ac, LTE Category 4. 3,200 mAh battery LED/IR combo. No information on Galaxy Note 3 availability just yet beyond the September 25 date, and the official Samsung press materials around the launch says only that it’ll make it out to all major U.S. carriers “later this year.”

  9. With 800 still being sparse you're going to run into the increase in drop calls.

I know it seems like it roamed then went to 800 then once it found 1900 I was screwed and back to first base I was impressed with the range
  10. Even on the upgraded and turned on towers the data still fluctuates. Once they get fiber turned on it will get better. Been at slate run park all day with 4 bars of 800. Obviously this cell is loaded down being in the country. Data is pretty nice here.

Picked up 800 on Lithopolis Rd on the way home from groveport. Even on my s2 wish I could prioritize it with all these dropped calls
