  1. Hi to everyone guys. Just to let you know that time to time I'm still here. Reading news, your comments and waiting for great things in Sprint. I'm using T-Mobile for a while right now and Sprint signal is better indoor than Tmobile. Maybe for the antenna location. But almost every place I go, sprint is better indoor than T-Mobile. But T-Mobile overall is faster. And data and voice simultaneously is a must for me.

Everybody must start getting scared when Robert stop answer your comments hahaha. It's time to go if that happens!

    Greetings again to everyone!

  2. Hi to everyone

Band 41 in San Juan and Bayamón is extraordinary fast. I'm waiting for VoLTE, Sprint are getting better and better over time but also AT&T and Tmobile. Spirnt coverage is better than Tmobile, I have both, and Claro. Claro have better coverage but very slow data service. Overall Tmobile have better download speed, Sprint still to spotty for speed for obvious reasons of 2.5 spectrum. Customer service in both companys are great. For me, GSM is more practical than actual CDMA. Easy phone swipe, easy troubleshooting, if you buy a new unlock phone is more easy to use (like the Nexus), there are more models and offers available in the web with a wide range of prices, etc. Just my opinon based on my experiences.

  3. Hi guys. Like other post says, with only 6% of market share, a huge spending in network don't make sense. Is better for them to make investment on the places they need to retain customers. Puerto Rico is not a key market for them. And it's bad because T-Mobile, Claro and AT&T never leave Puerto Rico to the last.

With the T-Mobile plan 2 x 50 totally unlimited there is no need for Sprint anymore. Unlimited everything, including tethering (7gb of LTE tethering and them reduce to 128kb but still unlimited) HD voice, VoLTE in Puerto Rico, better international roaming services, better phone updates etc. Internet Speeds are higher too (but Sprint have less latency and their ping to connect to the Internet is almost always slow and retrieve data soon than Tmobile. I don't know the exact term for that, sorry Robert haha)

I test both and to be honest Sprint has better signal quality for voice and texts, but its slower in data and the value of their offerings is slower too.

I will return to Sprint if they add VoLTE and tethering.

And also Marcelo says that unlimited will not last forever. That means that in a near future say good bye to unlimited data plans.

But I'm still reading, and searching for Sprint in Puerto Rico and as soon I see more value in their offerings I will return.

But I'm here, because Robert is my favorite writer haha and I enjoy Sprint news, I love the yellow color and the Sprint brand if definitely my favorite haha. I hate magenta, but today they offer better value and that's is unbeatable and unquestionable.

  4. Thanks for your answer. I'm not inventing my comments. Maybe I read bad, but there you go what I read. We need to wait to see this in real. I have friends in T-Mobile spending 30gb a month without any change in download speed. Hope Sprint don't change its policies. We believe things will go better in Sprint, but news like this hummm let us be skeptical. But I'm still happy with my 7 framily haha. This is a must!

  5. One problem for customers under the Sprint's prioritization scheme is that there is no exact amount of data consumption that will place them within the top 5 percent of users in any given month, and the threshold will change monthly as demand changes. But Sprint said customers who typically use 5 GB or more in a given month will likely be in that uppermost tier.

  6. I think not. Robert write an article about that. We will have iPhones in our hand that can never handle voice and data in Sprint. But in the future, when VoLTE comes to life we will see voice and data simultaneously again. For now if you have a Note 3 like me, you can still enjoying voice and data at the same time

  7. I have an LG G2 and I have no problem with LTE. But some time like month ago I have trouble receiving calls. People don't hear me when they call. When I call I have no trouble. Something is happen. With my note 3 I have no problem. Somebody know is other people is experience trouble with Spark phone in non Spark area? Let us know. My other family use iphone. They don't have trouble.

  8. Jorge, I have some good speed test in Toa Baja, Bayamón, San Juan, Manatí and other towns. But you have a point. Unlimited is not very good with low speed. But let me tell you that I'm very happy with my services. Now in my 7 Framily plan I pay $94.02 for me and my wife $94 for two unlimited lines. I save more than $600 yearly with this. They applied government discount (15%) for the data charges. The signal is good and very few drop calls since the network vision upgrade. In summer they will release HD voice. And today they announced that is you have 6 Framily or more you can get Spotify for $5 bucks. What a deal! I tell you, things will going better with time.

  9. Jorge, if you don't have good signal in your home I suggest you test the air rave, the wifi calling or change your carrier. Air rave and wifi calling are very good ways to improve your coverage. For wifi calling you need a compatible device like the Note 3 or the galaxy s4. The airrave is compatible with a more rage of devices but you must have some signal. Sprint is a good company and things are going better every day. Like others said, Sprint do not have a specific date for Spark launch in Puerto Rico, but lilotimz said that LTE - A is on the way. If any of this works, consider change to other carrier. Because cellphone in home is a most. In the future with 800mhz things will going better and better, but for now, you need something useful.

  10. 800 mhz is not being deployed their anytime soon due to spectrum issues. 2.6mhz will never be deployed there as it'd reserved for a government entity. 2.6ghz may make an appearance though in the future.

What kind of bad news is this, hahaha. It's OK. I'm right now in a framily plan with 7 people and I'm enjoying a good price for my plan. But is sad to hear about that. Thanks for the info. They plan to complete Spark in U.S. and Puerto Rico in 2016. I can wait. I hope that in a near future they include some quantity of tethering data. T-Mobile includes this and seen like a strong competidor in every aspect. But happy for a while.

  11. Hi guys. Anybody know is Sprint have 800mhz and 2.6mhz in Puerto Rico to roll out their new Spark? I read it has 800 in one thread of this forum some time ago, but want to now any news because 800mhz it was in reconfiguration or something like that. Happy to hear that everything is going fine in Virgin Islands, we need to pray a hurricane don't take our 4g hahaha, take care.

  12. Hi guys Puerto Rico here. I also buy a Nexus 5 but not read that SVLTE is not available for this device and Sprint will no longer support this on Triband phones like Nexus 5, LG G2, HTC One Max and S4 mini. Say good bye to voice and data simultaneously until VoLTE. This is bad. That is an option really important for me. I prefer the Note 3 that support voice and data simultaneously. Thanks to the 24/7 Sprint Knowledge base Robert for this information. But is late for me right know and I own another bad phone. LTE in Puerto Rico metro area is OK with the Nexus. But do not expect Triband soon in Puerto Rico. I think the 800 band for Sprint is still with problems and maybe they don't have 2600mhz in the island. We need to way.

I also point that Google voice still not working in Puerto Rico and Google Navigation Beta either. If you set up Nexus 5 without Sprint service first Google Now cards will not work. You need to reset and configure again with Sprint data and the Cards will work fine. I don't believe it but it's happen to me. Take care.

Glad to read that LTE on Virgin Islands are complete and working. In Puerto Rico is good but slow compare with the competition Claro, AT&T, Tmobile and Open in Puerto Rico. But for the price paid and variety of hardware is still good.

  13. Another question to everyone about what you think. It is worth to buy LG G2 instead note 3 only because the LTE triband? Maybe in Puerto Rico we will not have 800mhz and 2.6mhz in a long time and no worth loose the note 3 for something unreal. What you think? I have a note 2 and love note but signal strength and coverage is a must these days. I want to make a right choice because I will buy note 3 or LG G2 at full retail price.

  14. How to get credit for a dropped call:

    http://support.sprint.com/support/article/Get_credit_for_dropped_calls/case-ib376964-20090626-161909

In short dial *2 and say 'dropped call credit'. Not sure if it still works...

Sprint will be close to Bankruptcy when more people know about credit for drop calls hahaha.

Congratulations to all Islands who get LTE. Wonderful!

Rio Piedras campus in University of Puerto Rico have a lot of troubles with signal. I spend this week without signal at UPR Law School. Very bad.

People. I read some Robert comments that at the end of the year Sprint will have complete the job to add 800 mhz spectrum for LTE. Some body read or know something if that includes PR?

    Nice to greeting you guys

  15. Hi everybody. Long time without writing. I'm very happy with my service. I also note that the new Sprint plans do not allow any Internet Sharing. In Puerto Rico, Open Mobile, Claro, AT&T, Tmobile now offer some kind of Internet Sharing in their plans without charges. 500mb at least. What happen with the vision? They stock on network, but not vision, haha. What do you think guys? We need to complain about this. Is we want to save our yellow Japanese company they need to be more aggressive and we need to promote better their service with our relatives. Remember I do not work for Sprint or Masayoshi Son haha

  16. I agree 100%! The only thing that can make them better is if they were to use the lower frequencies for better building penetration. I feel like it is almost a must here, because of the terrain and the concrete buildings everywhere. Once they do that here in PR, it will be amazing. Not sure if it is possible tough :/

I think the same. Love to see the 800mhz in action. They also need more coverage, this is a small island and they can cover all easy. They are loosing some customer that will be more than happy to change from Claro and AT&T to Sprint.

  17. Guys. Sprint is better than ever. No more drop calls for me from UPR to Toa Baja and vice versa. Very good LTE speed. UPR Río Piedras Campus have LTE everywhere and usable 3g if LTE isnt available. I'm very happy with the change. Is feel like a new cell phone company, faster and reliable. To be better, they can include some Internet tethering for free. At least 500mb and people like me will be more than happy.

Great customer service, very reasonable plans, unlimited data, subsidized phones, great phones, good LTE coverage, roaming, unlimited calls to cell and unlimited text messaging and mms, discount for a lot of people (government employees 15%, Sears 25%, Burger King 25% etc.). For me guys, is the best cell company in Puerto Rico. Before NV very bad. With LTE and new sites is the best. They still need to improve coverage in the island and their business here will be very profitable.
