What phone do you have? Your profile says Galaxy S3. If that is true, you won't get LTE on band 41. You will get voice on 800 (B26) and 1900 (B25), 3G data on 1900 (B25) and LTE on 1900 (B25). (And I I guess you could say you could get 1x data on 800, but we won't go there.
If you are on a different phone and I missed that up thread, then disregard what I just said.
Yes!! What he said.
As stated above, now on the Samsung S5

Free version, guess i should be glad that 41 is going live in my area... was just concerned that i was never connecting to 41, but now that I'm pretty sure i am, I'll continue the search of the grand Rapids area and report accordinglyAre you on SignalCheck Pro or Free? Older versions of SCP had issues with Clear B41 in general. I know Pro got updated awhile back with much better readings. I assume Free did too, but I'm not sure. Mike usually updated the free version a few weeks later.
Next, Samsung in general has an issue with reporting PLMN to Android, SCP doesn't get reliable Clear B41 PLMN from Android, so it doesn't always report the correct data. I have always had accurate Sprint B41 from SCP Pro, I've never encountered a Clear B41 site in Lansing.
My gut is that you are hitting Clear B41, but SCP is confused by bad data from Android.

So am i connecting to band 41? And if so, what's going on with signal check? Or is everyone on signal check getting a false reading
-
310-120, TAC:17940What is the mcc-mnc on service mode?
-
According to Flompholph as stated above, under provider 310120 is sprint? That's what it is reading under provider via signal check: sprint (310120)
-
Assuming Samsung device try ##33284# then spell Sprint for the code (777468). Go to the LTE engineering screen and grab the PLMN there.
Will have to try that the next time I'm reading band 41, the tower I'm on now (home) is not updated
And yes, i am using the S5 stock sammy
-
Not seeing plmn on any row?
-
Okay, so I've tried with no avail to upload the screen shots. Basically while sitting in the vicinity of the tower on 28th between Byron and ivanrest i was pulling 27 down. According to signal check i was on provider: sprint lte (310120). However my dial service mode (*#0011#) identified the site as band: 41 bw: 20 mhz
-
I'll get some screen shots, possibly tomorrow. First Line in service mode (*#0011#) reads: "band 41", whereas signal check reads "band 25", so this is starting to make sense...
Know it's not just scanning cause I'm pulling 30+ down.

I think that B41 service might be coming from the site over on the other side of the mall. (At least, when I was there last weekend, the west tower had B41 but the east one did not)
But if that one does have B41, then that means all of the outdoor area at/near Rivertown Mall should have B41 service now.
(If your not seeing it in SignalCheck, your phone might be misleading you. Some engineering screens show 'Band 41' when they are scanning for it, but not actually connected to it.)
I did come from that side (had dinner @ Texas roadhouse) and might have hung on to that tower, just been randomly using the dial screen to check... but i do know the tower @ Meijer has the right equipment. If not live, then soon!

Only showing band 25 & 26
-
What's up with signal check not showing band 41?
-
M6 & 131 as well...
-
Band 41 up and running at 28th & burlingame in Wyoming, and Meijer parking lot next To the rivertown mall in Grandville! Both confirmed using *#0011# on my S5. Signal check is not showing it? Upper 20's on the download side.

I hear ya, really want to know the status on the north side of Wyoming area before I commit to an upgrade to a tri-band (S3 as of the moment). Switched jobs and took a huge pay cut for more time with the family. Worth it of course, but was no were near the premium member minimum. And with all the towers upgraded to 1900 LTE had no reason to remain just a lowly old member

with the new 25016 PRL on the S3 there are no issues with reconnecting to 800 as well. On the old 25015 I would have to run a manual update on the prl to reconnect once it was lost

Full signal, crystal clear call quality here in the Wyoming area.Anybody still getting consistent 800Mhz/SMR in the GR area? I want to check out my Note 2, using a custom PRL to see if calls/texts will actually stick on SMR or shunt to PCS as our dear S4GRU overlord/leader Robert has experienced. Living in Portland now, I was thinking about venturing to Lowell as I've gotten SMR connections from there in the past. Alto is closer, but I haven't gotten consistent SMR connections from those sites.

I was driving down m6 this evening and it seemed u had much better 4g than usual. It had is good spots before, but tonight I was around 90dbm the whole way down. Anyone know if they did something new or switched on a couple more towers?

If you were east of 131 it's very possible they turned on the tower @ Kalamazoo. The equipment has been up for a couple months and is the only tower left that's not on the accepted sites map between 131 and 96

On a side note, I just realized I use that phrase way too often... ( face Palm)

Matt,
Danny,
So, you are saying you are still getting 800 this week? I have tried the PRL update, reboot phone, even tried making signal weak so it drops and reconnects. Nothing for me. Good to here that 1x800 is still active in the area, bummer for me that I can't pick it up anymore... oh well. Thanks for the info.
On a side note, check the Meijer site @ Rivertown. Looks like some TD-LTE goodness. I would do no justice submitting pics from my phone. I'll leave the HD photo uploads to you. You have locked in that arena for sure!
-
Yep, still going strong, even down in the basement! Solid from 44th in GR, all the way to the east side of Lowell!Danny,

yep, settings- update- update prl. it's just a temp fix but it should work/hold throughout pretty much all of south GR. Had 800 all day today.By manual you mean by updating prl in the settings menu? I have done that fairly recently, well maybe it's been a couple of weeks though. I'll try that. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 4
on a side note, can we just flash the digiblur prl? or is it more complex. Not so good with the code writing etc... and have no need to root at this point. just want my phone to work
-
If you are on a stock PRL then you won't see it on the Note2, you'd need one of digiblur's custom PRLs
Or just do a manual update on your prl, it will hold until you connect to a tower without live 800. I have to drive to saranac before I lose it!
-
This is just a heads up, if they are turning 800 on in "clusters", there may be others out there.
Same thing here near the armory, was roaming on Verizon half the night. looks like 800 is live in south GR. However, with my stock S3 I have to do a manual update on my PRL to connect. Hoping a fix is on the way for that.

44th and Clyde finally went live. For some reason I still cannot post screenshots from my GS5, but for what it's worth, pulling 45 mbps down while sitting in my living room! Sucks went it falls back to B26 I'm only pulling on average 3-4 down.
