I know what your saying. I work sometimes at 1400 North Hurstbourn right next to a sprint tower with great signal, but it has such a heavy load during the day it was useless. I called it in to Sprint and they stated it should get an upgrade by March of 2013. Still waiting on that upgrade. Funny thing is after 5.30 to 6 pm it speeds way up when people leave work and the load goes way down.

Alert! Alert! Alert! LTE is now live in Frankfort! I just completed an initial mapping with Sensorly. The signal started where I didn't expect it, but when I saw it I started mapping. The latest excepted site is not transmitting yet, but should be soon. It took over a week to 2 weeks for the first site to start transmitting. Another good day today!!

If this is from 5th and Market, I would say it is a new tower. That would be extremely far for the accepted tower in the west end to still have that speed.

Thats very true know that I look at the map. But at the same time, it's even further from the other 2 towers we know to be active. So if it's non of these, an the location is right downtown in Louisville where the test was performed, where is this Phantom signal coming from? !

Looks like I'm gonna have to drive up and hit the Gene Snyder this weekend

 

I had fun helping to map that purple.  I didn't think I would have a chance until I was headed home from work Thursday night.  I pulled over on the side of the Snyder and performed a speed test and Wow! it was 30 down and 7 up...fun stuff!

In almost the furthest western point of the Eastern Kentucky Market I confirmed site in Frankfort KY is in progress.  Got to talk to the techs there working and snapped some pictures.  Funny thing is ATT was just here 2 weeks earlier doing the same thing!  It’s nice to think Sprint is hot on their heels anyway…

I think he's trying to say that there are some Sprint techs at a hotel in fern creek. He has talked to them and they stated that LTE system testing was starting over the next two weeks. I think at night or something like that. Just trying to translate. ..I not very good at translation.

One of my friends that work at a hotel said that the Sprint is bringing up they lte network this week they are staying at the hotel where he works at

Is anyone aware of any sites in the Louisville area that appears to have all the necessary upgrades installed,(cabinets, backhaul, antennas)? I'm currently monitoring sites: LV03XC084, LX03XC003, LX03XC008, LX03XC049, and LV54XC257. I believe all these sites except 1 is in progress. I've been unable to get pictures as of yet. I keep my signal check software running hoping i'll see some LTE suddenly appear as I drive by, or if i'm at work at SDF.

thats where I read it. I've got a Louisville based phone number, but I live in Frankfort. With all the reports of sites having new equipment installed, I'm expecting to see some LTE light up any time now. Kentucky markets are way behind according to Robert so hopefully they'll start popping.
