  1. Lots of updates recently. Hoping this means solid connectivity to LTE all around Charlotte. I used to have better service in my building downtown (101 S Tryon) but now it is very off and on. I have been getting a 1x signal mostly since Monday, with spotty 3G and LTE. But just have to keep hoping things progress and get better. In other areas of Charlotte I have noticed more LTE though.

  2. That's the same site location I've been getting the couple of times it's popped up for me. I think we're about to see a lot of 1X800 sites go live.

The more sites that go live, the better. My LTE experience with Sprint is beginning to get better. Still spots around town where I lose it and where it goes in and out, but I know it will get better.

  3. I'm starting to pick up more LTE service all across town. I stay in the University Area right off of exit 46 on 85, and I can get a good signal heading towards UNCC's campus and until I get to Mallard Creek. Just hoping that everything continues to grow at a fairly decent pace. Friends with other services still have better LTE coverage than I do, but I'm happy to almost have a consistent one everywhere I go. Even 3G speeds have picked up some as well and better coverage.

  4. I also saw that there was a little blip mapped on Trade and Tryon downtown. I wish I could connect to it being at work here now, but I'm guessing being on the 34th floor in the building might not help out too much. I'm just happy with the progress that is coming along now, because I felt like things were taking forever, especially with my friends that had Verizon and AT&T with LTE service already.

  5. You can tell the rest of us with other phones and we'll stay on the lookout to map them. :) I'm not sure if Sensorly will be compatible with iPhone 5s anytime soon.

bonvicepacino, no kidding! Someone's been busy mapping Hwy 29 from 485 all the way to Morehead (albeit a LIGHT signal that my EVO has barely picked up), Morehead Rd, and Hwy 49 all the way from UNCC into Harrisburg!

If you gain access to the Sponsor maps, you'll see that they're working on another tower in the vicinity that should help things even more. :) It's like they're building all AROUND Harris & 85 where I work. It's killing me, lol. I'm going to head up 485 and 49 into Harrisburg, so I'll have Sensorly ready to go and see how that 4G signal is.

Always good news. I need to get around to donating so I can gain access to these maps. Since I'm always interested in the progress. Now I need to remember my PayPal information so I can get to it.

  6. They might be. However, when you are up that high it is really hard to say where the signal is coming from.

Well I walked out of my building in the middle of Charlotte (Trade & Tryon St) and got a LTE signal. It was a weak one (1 and 2 bars) and didn't last long, but still had one. So I am just hoping for positive signs like that one to keep popping up. 1 bar of LTE is better than full 3g signal.

  7. Once a site is done, they are leaving it on. If they are off, then it means there is still work or testing going on.

I don't know if it has anything to do with being a quarter behind, but in all other markets which are underway, once a site is done, they leave it on, even in "unannounced" markets.

That is good to know, so maybe the LTE in downtown Charlotte will be back up soon

  8. That's the place. I held the signal for a few miles while heading south, but not as long on the way back up. Got off at exit 28 to hunt a little, but the signal was weak and kept reverting to 3G. It was nice for the few minutes I got to play. Not sure if they're are moving north with their work, or moving towards Charlotte, but that's the farthest north it has come!

Exit 28 off of 77 does show a little LTE. I was able to keep a signal in the area around the interstate exit, but not too far off of it. Just glad more LTE is showing up in the area, and hopefully more spots start to show up each week

  9. Nice! Looks like someone lit the map up on Statesville Ave between I-85 & I-277 too. I can't wait until they light Kannapolis and the I-85/Harris Blvd area up...and anywhere in between for that matter. :)

It's great that more 4g is starting to show up in the Charlotte area. Having some in the UNCC area would be lovely

  10. Didn't see it yesterday or Sunday

I hope that they work on the Charlotte area a little more in the upcoming weeks. I know we are a Second Round Market according to the updates but when the first round markets get closer to completion then we should be improving at a faster pace.

  11. I ride on 85S and take the connection to 77N to get to work in the morning, and looking on Sensorly app on my iPhone I thought I was supposed to be passing through an area with 4g coverage a few exits before and after the connection. Maybe in the next few weeks, or has anybody else been able to pick up LTE in that area lately?
