I would imagine a lot of Chicago land customers are dropping their service?
Quite frankly, I'm one of those who has been considering it.
Been lurking here for a number of months now, keeping an eye on what I can. (And thank you for this AWESOME website/resource!).
I've been with Sprint for YEARS, and remember when their 3G network was the BEST in the Chicagoland area. But it is a shadow of its former self. And I find myself torn between holding out for another however many months it takes for NV & LTE to go live here vs calling it quits (especially with the SGSIII release).

Because of this: http://s4gru.com/ind...the-windy-city/
They are having to speed up NV deployment in Chicago and doing NV upgrades in advance of backhaul being ready.

I missed that before. Thank you - that article is extremely insightful... and unfortunately quite discouraging.

I wouldn't make any assumptions about the Chicago market. They are having to rethink everything there.

Rethink? How so? Could you provide any further insight?

So I spent the last week in Maui, where I actually had usable 3G signal & could actually surf & use my Photon again.
Then I came home yesterday... O'Hare = 1xRTT... home in Bolingbrook, 1xRTT or Digital Roaming!!! Made 4 phone calls since I returned, 2 of which got disconnected.
