  1.

Robert removed this tower when we told him about it like 2 weeks ago in the "NV Sites Complete Comments" thread. It turned out it was a mistake or something.

The tower I was talking about in the above post did emit LTE for days (which I mapped) and now its not working.

Well that sucks. It was really near my house. Guess I'll have to continue in the 4g black hole.

  2. Im not able to connect to the tower that was recently accepted at Palmetto and SW 88th St (have tried with a Note2 and GS3 for the last 2-3 days cycling airplane mode etc and nothing). I mapped this tower on the Dadeland area as well as going south on US1 up to SW 128th St. Not able to connect to it anymore.

The tower on US1 and 147th has been approved for like 5 months and not a peep.

  3. Yes only 4 towers in 2 weeks which was kind of disappointing. Going by memory of the previous accepted towers, it seems out of the 4 accepted, 2 were in the Miami area and obviously the other 2 must of been in the West Palm / Broward area. The 2 towers added in Miami were: (1) in the intersection of I-95 and I-195 where there previously was one tower accepted, so now theres two really close by, (2) and the other one was in North Miami a little bit west of I-95. This is by memory of the towers that were accepted long ago.

Also, I went back to the tower accepted 3 weeks ago located at US1 and SW 144th St, which I reported some time ago that you cannot connect to it, and its still the same, no LTE from it even though it was accepted 3 weeks ago. Sensorly also doesnt have anything nearby. So 3 weeks after, the tower is still being blocked / not broadcasting LTE or whatever technical term describes whats happening.

Moreover, went to visit family in Miami Gardens and checked out the 2 towers there. See picture:

The one at 183rd St and 47th Ave (marked by a red dot to the right of the picture) which was I believe the first tower in all the Miami market is still going strong and I was able to get a 25/5 speedtest from it etc. However, the one accepted 3 weeks ago by 183rd St and 57th Ave (marked by a red dot to the left of the picture) I couldnt connect to it. This one however has a strong purple signal in Sensorly which must of been while they were testing because in the last 2 weeks (after being accepted) I been going to it and havent been able to connect. So I guess we have the second case of a tower being accepted but you cannot connect to it (the other one being the one at US1 and SW 144th St as I mentioned earlier)

Yeah the one on 144th and US1 is right by me less than 1/2 mi from my home. It's more like an array on top of a small office building than a tower. I don't know if that has anything to do with it being withheld from broadcasting. I go to that publix next to it all the time so I'm constantly monitoring it.

  4. congrats to those getting LTE, but what i want to know is the tower outside FIU(university park)... they have one one side of FIU (tamiami) and the other (westchester), we can only get LTE if we go off the campus or up on the 8th floor of the library. thats how freaking close we are to LTE. can anyone chime in?

Yeah that's like at the dolphin mall. On the second floor where the theater is it's full bars of 4G and on the first floor it's only 3G.

Also, there really is no way to tell on any site when it will be live, the only information that Robert has is when a site is accepted by Sprint as complete. The only way to know when it is broadcasting a signal, is to actually see it.

    Roger that.

  6. You know I ran by this tower last night before going to work. Even though it's been accepted. [i am sure Robert didn't mistake it] I've never gotten signal it's one of the 3-4 towers that are about a mile from me. I would've mapped it in all 4 directions if it was up and running, but nada not even before.

It's like less than 1/2 mile as the crow flies from me. If they light this one up I should be bathed in 4G goodness!

  7. Flew into the Fort Lauderdale Airport last night and my S3 had it's first 4Gasm. :D

Ran a speed test on the plane and pulled 7.73 down and a little over 9 up. Mapped on sensorly as I was leaving the airport and still had 4G for a little while, but haven't uploaded the results yet. I see it's pretty well mapped around there anyway.

I was just happy to get some LTE on my new phone for the first time!!!

4Gasm! Can't wait for my first!!!

  8. Anyone having problems using Sensorly on their phones and/or loading the page on the computer?

This morning I kept trying to access the page and it kept timing out and I had to reload many times for it to work etc. I had forgotten about this, and so I was just coming south on Palmetto and I picked 4G around NW 36th St, i remembered someone mentioning that now 4G extends all the way to SW 88th St and so I wanted to map it however when I went to "map trip" and hit "start" it wouldnt collect any points (4g nor 3g/2g). I came home and tried to access sensorly.com and had the same problems as in the morning. Then it hit me that it might be related...

Anyways, I didnt keep 4G till SW 88th St, it dropped a little bit before the SW 72nd St exit.

Been having trouble with the app opening on my iPod touch after the update yesterday. Works fine on my note 2 though.
