  1. Noticed 4g in Sarasota on Clark Road Near Swift last week.  Any word on this area?

    Thanks,

this area appears to be up and running... was in the sprint store near stickney point and 41 by chili's. agent said that they are beta testing the area. they have had it up and running for a week or so.  have pretty good 4g for a good portion of clark road as well.

  2. Noticed 4g in Sarasota on Clark Road Near Swift last week. Any word on this area?
    Thanks,

Probably the new Sprint site I noticed yesterday on the water tower at Gulf Gate. each sector has 4 RRUs instead of 3.

can someone please remind me of the difference in that setup? all the other NV installs I've seen have only 3 RRUs per sector.

Drove by there yesterday and today and did not pick up any 4g. Must still be in the process of upgrading.

  5. No problem. . I think it went down to Biscayne. Its definitely a tower in north port not the one by chamberlin listed as active. Sometimes you have to Zoom in and out on sensorly to see it. I also got some signal by river road and 41

just checked it out on sensorly. thanks again! maybe it is the tower near biscayne. the only other i think i could be is the one by price. Of course, it might be the one on the east side of 75. That one is showing complete for 3G. Maybe it is now 4G complete as well. i am confused as to what tower it might be. this is fun.

i don't have any idea what i am talking about. :-)

  6.

Had 4g on summter and 41 today lightning fast in my speed test like 25000 down. Didn't make it down towards appamatix though was working

That is Awesome. Thank you! I don't like making assumptions....... but I would assume I would have it on appomattox if the signal is that great on Sumter and 41. How far down 41 did you make it? North Port Blvd? Biscayne? Further than that? I will check it out on sensorly tomorrow or later tonight. (Just checked it and didn't see it yet.) let me know when you make it to appomattox. I really can't thank you enough for doing this.

I am wondering what tower this might be. North Port tower or Port Charlotte?

  7. i read somewhere that 99.7% of all sites will get LTE. I don't think you have anything to worry about. It is exciting to see sprint rolling LTE out in our area. I continue to check sensorly to see where others are mapping. i find that it is super helpful to know that people are mapping these areas to show where LTE already exists.... with the sensorly mapping and the super helpful people in this forum, you should be able to find answers to all of your questions.

i am glad that i found this site. probably would have already closed my account with sprint by now. but with these upgrades coming, and the rates that sprint has for UNLIMITED data, i don't think it can be beat.

hope it works out for you.

  8. I got 4g down parts of cranberry and Chamberlin and at the home Depot in noth port but haven't made it down summtee area yet. Once I do I will map for you and update you

That would be awesome! am curious about the block around sumter, appomattox, north port blvd, and 41.

i live off appomattox in the villas of sabal trace. in laws are in villas of sabal trace phase 2 off north port blvd.

Thanks again. I wish i already had a 4g device. would love to go out mapping. :-)

  9. Awesome news. I am still waiting for coverage in North Port. Living in North Port and working in Sarasota. Looks like we will have LTE all the way. Thanks for mapping this area. Will check out your work on sensorly. :-)

checked out your work on sensorly. excellent.

the tower in north port... off 41... is that is giving us 4g? would it be possible to have someone head through north port on 41 and map it as well?

    TIA

  10. is there a way to know, when lte rolls out in this area, where the coverage will be? i thought that we would have coverage in port charlotte, north port, and venice. i assume that this is going to happen pretty soon and hopefully by may. if i am not going to get sprint 4g here, i might as well check out t-mobile. i understand that if you become a sponsor here of s4gru, you get access to other maps? if there is a way to find out, i will become a sponsor here and check it out.

Thanks for the quick responses and info.

  11. first time here... living in north port fl and working in sarasota fl.. noticing on sensorly that it seems i am surrounded by lte to my north and south. trying to decide if i should move to Tmobile and try hspa+ or stick it out and wait for Sprint LTE.

I also noticed on sensorly today some wimax coverage pop up on Venice on I-75. (or maybe i never noticed it before) is that also supposed to be coming this way? Been waiting forever for that. I always had to travel all the way to tampa for any wimax coverage. :-(

hoping that we hear or see something soon. would love to be able to make my decision soon. (by the end of may)

    TIA
