Goodby Huawei. Hello Samsung? http://imgur.com/a/XBJpw
I think you are right, only Samsung and Huawei has 4 ports from the Radio Unit. What market is this?
-
I hope they're planning to utilize 8x8 MIMO for this. That could offer up to 300 Mbps for each 20 MHz carrier per sector.
Sprint mention 150 Mbps with Sprint Spark. Not sure how you double that.
-
I'm more interested in what are the two companies working on. An initial thought, Sprint a wireless company, Dish a content provider could mean TV contents streaming on Sprint's network?
-
Powerwave files for bankruptcy protection on Jan28. What NV cities utilize Powerwave antennas and will this impact NV deployment?
-
No. LTE is on one side of the panel. Each "section" of the panel has a 45 degree polarization offset. LTE 1900 utilizes 2 antennas, 800SMR utilizes 2, 1900 EVDO/1X utilizes another 2.
Thx for the reply. Is this only for ALU and E/// markets? As I understood, Samsung is capable of delivering 4T4R LTE solution.

" There are 6 inputs. 2 for PCS 1X/EV, 2 for 800SMR, and 2 for PCS LTE. There are also 3 ACUs for downtilt control (more on that later). See how all the cables are hooked up?"
Does Sprint deploy 4T4R LTE? If yes, that could be 1T4R for PCS 1x/EV, 4T4R for PCS LTE and 2 for 800. This configuration is under the assumption the RRU is capable of supporting Dual mode.

do you have the lat long or street address? We can verify it using the interactive map.Don't know how useful this is but I went by my town water tower today and snapped a shot of what I'm 95% sure is the Sprint (NV) site by my house. Someone on here can probably elaborate quite a bit on what you see here.

I'm not sure, but it is Alcatel-Lucent Equipment.
thank you. wonder if Samsung's equipment will be more elegant given that part of the world is focus on making things "smaller".

what market is the pictures taken? The panel in the middle on this tower is a Sprint NV panel. That is what you should look for in the coming days on your tower. Typically the RRUs (boxes) are mounted behind the panel instead of under it.

Would love to see a pre-NV map as well for a comparison. Well, the data are there but my mapping skill is not there to create one.

The extra cables make the site look messy. Thanks for the picture. Any chance of having similar view for Samsung market and ALU?

TX is a samsung and Mot market. Given it's a 4 ports radio unit, it should be Samsung updating it's RRU or some other reasons. The replacement site has a longer antenna which means it's a PCS band antenna.
