  1. Wimax isn't bad where you get signal. When I had my evo 3d I would get 6mbps to 8mbps. Although not bad when compared to lte or even hsdpa+ it's sort of a joke.

  2. Along with NV work, there is also the fact you have thousands of ppl trying to access the network at the same time. Over the last week I had been able to get some LTE at PBH employee lot, Turkey Lake from Universal Emp lot all the way to Lakewood but the signal was very week. I am guessing the towers serving the area as still not fully operational.

    @l3x

    this makes sense. Unfortunately I can't get any connection to LTE in my apartment, but when I am outside it pops on when I walk to the other side of the building. Wondering if the range will increase? Hmmm

    It will improve. That's where the Nextel iden shutdown comes in handy. The 800mhz spectrum will help in penetrating inside buildings and with the softbank merger they'll have even more money to help speed things up

  3. Softbank just raised their offer. It went from 20.1 billion to 21.6 billion and supposedly they won more shareholder approval. In reality it's better for them to merge over dish. They have phone networks knowledge and maybe those who travel to softbank area will get a low roaming charges through some type of agreement. I just want something to happen soon so Sprint can use the money to keep boosting the lte expansion.

  4. Has anyone been to Disney in the very recent past. Just wondering if the LTE makes it all the way through all the parks yet. Im going in august an hoping that by then they have made much more progress.

    Signal at magic kingdom is lte mostly from the parking lot all the way till you get to the entrance. After that you lose 4g. At epcot I found it to be consistent all the way till you get close to the soarin pavilion and also back towards the big fountain where their putting in a Starbucks. Never tried it at ak and at Hollywood studios it's sporadic throughout the park. Overall it's great and hope it keeps getting better. I just wish at the resorts it would improve. Especially at animal kingdom lodge and also the Caribbean beach resort area.

  5. The people that I went with have Verizon, and the LTE was unusable in/near the Disney parks, especially the Magic Kingdom. I did a speedtest on one of thier handsets and it pulled 0.10 / 0.05 Mbps! Switched all of them over to the 3G and it worked great with 0.80 / 0.75 Mbps. As for the places that I got Sprint LTE, it worked very well, with most tests averaging above 6 Mpbs down. 3G, forget about it.

    Last time I was at Disney I had late with sprint at magic kingdom all the way up to the main entrance by the train. After that it was only 3g but still decent speeds. At Epcot I had 4g throughout most of front of the park with spotty lte throughout the park but still great 3g signal. Haven't had a chance to try it at the other parks. Looking forward to it. The kissimmee area definitely is getting better with lte.

  6. I'm in Orlando at Disney World. First off, when I got off the plane, all I got was roaming! Was surprised at that. Got LTE outside of the airport however, but that didn't last long. Driving down I-4 to Disney, all I got was 3G and it was super slow! No eHRPD either anywhere in Orlando, it's all EvDo-Rev. A

    I'll have to say, that Orlando is awful for Sprint right now. Probably the worst I've ever experienced. I'm at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and I mainly get Roaming, with maybe one bar of Sprint from time to time. Very disappointed in this market.

    **A side note, I did pick up 1x 800 MHz on the plane flying down. Took a screenshot of the SignalCheck screen and it was Band Class 10 with an SID of 22429.

    I was at Disney couple weeks ago. Got great signal and speed. Got 4g lte at Hollywood studios and magic kingdom. Most of the time at parks I got 4g. At akl the signal though is bad. Due to its location it's bad for most companies. When I force roam on Verizon I at l can at least get some data but it's still bad. All around Kissimmee the signal is great with great speeds. Can't wait till they increase it. All this was before they officially announced lte there.
