Gotta say I'm happy with the Essential for the most part. Did drop it last week and cracked the screen. They were quick to replace it too. Htc just fell off after the M8. I did NOT like the 10.

So far a great phone. Now i just need to figure out how to transfer everything to it.
Also, not sure how long this will go on for, but at BestBuy, if you get the unlocked phone and bundle it with the 360 camera it is $499.

Time to hard reset. I typically do anyways on any big update. I have no issues.

I've been having the issue I think since I bought it. But you're right, i should HR it and then get a new one.

Mine is still struggling with holding WiFi/Bluetooth connection.

A Canon camera and a Sony Discman.

I prefer my Sorny Walkman.
Apps wise on the HTC?

What is everyone using for photos and media player apps?

Catch a Dodgers game (if they are in town). Go to the Nokia Theater across from the Convention Center and the Staples Center. Head to Universal Studio's if you've never been. Go down to Anaheim and visit Disneyland. Head to the Santa Monica Pier, stroll down Rodeo Drive, yelp for food.
Pink's hotdogs, Roscoe's chicken and waffles, little Tokyo, little India, Chinatown, Hollywood and Vine, Peterson Auto Museum, Natural History Museum.
There's ton's to do.

Did replacing the battery fix the problem? I just want to make sure it's actually the battery and not something else before deciding to replace the battery.
I upgraded the phone. I never replaced the battery. Sorry i can't help you there.

I've had great luck with my HTC One M8 that I ordered when it was first released two years ago.
I've recently noticed a problem where the M8 shuts down like the battery is dead, even though the battery indicator is showing something like 20% charge remaining. This has happened a few times recently, and every time the indicated battery level is 20-25%.
So, either the battery indicator is way off, or the battery is shot and is dead even when there is 20% charge remaining.
If it's just that the battery indicator is off, is there a way to reset it or otherwise make it more accurately reflect the true battery charge level?
Thank you!!
Mine was doing it at 25%-30% depending on what I was doing. It would just die.

Is it just after waking up? It turns the Wi-Fi off to save battery power.

No, I'll be using it say with twitter and randomly while browsing it hangs and everything stops loading. It bounces between my 2.4 and 5GHz signals.
Today was my first "real" day of usage, meaning not playing around, etc. I left work at 70%! Pretty good by my standards! Right now I have 33% remaining and have been using it pretty heavily since leaving work at 3:30. (I'm a teacher and only have certain times where I can use my phone during the day).

I took mine off the charger at 7am, used it like i normally do, a little twitter, internet, Clash of clans and my gym app. 12 hours later and I'm at 57%. MUCH better than my dying M8.

Anyone have any issues witht he WiFi just cutting out randomly?

They may not be on Netflix. But instead I can recommend these series...
"Read a Book"
"Go Outside"
"Browse S4GRU"
"Talk to Someone"
"Play a Game"
"Prepare Some Food"
AJ
NONE of these were on Netflix AJ, but I did find a few on Amazon Prime.
You also forgot the all time great, "Hit the Gym."
The shows i haven't seen mentioned are...
Archer
Bob's Burgers
Bones
Psych
White Colar
Burn Notice
Watch Archer and Bob back to back, Main characters are voiced by the same guy, so you start laughing when you realize you're watching one show and not the other.

You could call them up and tell them some story about you're just changing numbers due to work, but you have to port the number out first.

I'm sure there's a lot of investors on here and others that want to get involved in investing. I came across this app on Facebook and wondered what some of you all thought about the possibility of have a free trading app?
I'm not selling anyone on this, not trying to get anyone to sign-up, all though I am using the referral link they gave me just in-case someone does sign-up, i move up the wait list.
Anyone else use Scott trade, e-trade?? Online trading? Would free trades help in investing? I'm curious what people have to say. I'm a little late to the savings and investing party, but this could possibly help me catch up on the time I'm behind.
Just to reiterate, I'm not advertising it, selling it, or anything to that effect, just curious.

Anyone else on the old ED1500 get a fedex letter from Sprint about unlimited minutes and qualifying for the $5 phone lease? Weird getting a letter, obviously pre printed and not personal, without a sprint envelope and in a fedex envelope and from Marcelo Claure.
-
It is a stupid Sprint app that is supposed to help you track your data usage. There are several articles online that describe the app as a battery hog. I personally tried Freezing the app with Titanium Back-Up, even though I never really had a problem with the app, and doing so completely screwed up the data and cellular from radios on my Sprint HTC M8.
I don't have this app.

Is anyone having an issue where the radio just stops working all together? I try airplane mode, i try prl and profile updates and none of them work. I have to reboot the phone. It happens on 3G and LTE. I think it might have something to do with the last update.
Ver: 3.30.654.2
PRI: 2.62_003
prl: 51103

I actually have this issue now with an LTEVO that i was trying to give to my mom. They said it is no longer in the system so they can't reactivate it. They tried to say i flashed the phone or something and i told them this phone has been sitting on my shelf since i last used it.
Sounds like someone flashed my esn on their non-sprint phone.
-
I get that occasionally on my regular One, actually.
The M7 is the regular "One"
I noticed over on the Sprint boards some are getting a error with the One M7 about unable to establish a wireless data connection. LTE: EMM-65535. Has anyone see this??
I get this whenever i finish a call, start a call on 3G or when sending a text occasionally when i'm in between sties.

Thanks. BestBuy has the dual screen for $500, so I was thinking of going in that direction.
Thanks!
I love the essential phone, but it's definitely running behind on speed.
