  1. I did some mapping this week at some newer areas at 64th between grandview and hoover. signal around -67 to -72

At the tower at 60th and Michigan, I got similar readings -65 to -70.

I also noticed similar readings at keystone and 465 and surrounding office parks, yesterday -68 to -74.

  2. I was mapping the tower at 106th and College by driving down Pennsylvania Pwky and then down and west on 96th street. when I got to meridian the readings just lit up. I was getting -70dmb. A new tower may have just been lit up. it seems to be strongest there at 96th and up meridian west on 103rd. I'm not sure exactly where it is coming from. The office building there may have panels on it, but I couldn't tell for sure.

Also yesterday on my way back from the anderson area I mapped some more of the tower around strawtown road and IN 37. my guess is it may be the one just east of 213 and north of 37.

  3. I was in the neighborhood of the new tower near North Central and did a quick loop down westfield blvd from carmel down to 75th and back up college to 86th W to meridian N. my strongest reception was on westfield blvd just south of 86th -74dmb

  4. What's this? This is me pulling up in front of my house tonight. The speed definitely didn't match what Sensorly is showing related to signal strength. All I know is it isn't coming from "my" tower across the street. I guess I will be spending part of my Thanksgiving mapping my neighborhood.

I was trying to add to your neighborhood today.
  5. I did some mapping at Morse Lake Park in Noblesville out 206 to Anderson (W200 & IN32 and around downtown) and back today. I also looped around the Noblesville square a bit. I believe the tower by the lake is located just north of the school there off of Hague near 206th. does this sound correct? signal around -70dmb

  6. You know it's funny you say that. Some of the sites will have great range like 2-3 miles and some seems the range will barley make it 3/4 of a mile. Must be the way the tower is setup along with the panels I'm guessing.

It also seems that the first time I find one, the range is poor. When I come back 3-4 weeks later I get much greater range. So it may be just part of the process of bringing them online. Also the tower design/height and surrounding topography may also play a big role, as they vary quite a bit in that regard.

  7. a tower must have gone live around IU north hospital at 116th and Meridian. the area was all lit up today.

It is real strong at the core low -62 to -65 readings. but it doesn't carry like some of the other towers I've mapped. but that seems to be typical of the towers the week that they go live.

  8. 1st, which one of you is cruising my neighborhood getting LTE?

2nd, what device are you using, I am not getting squat on my Galaxy Nexus.

I feel like a big slacker knowing that someone else is mapping LTE in my backyard.

I know that it is not coming from the tower in my neighborhood. I have a feeling which site it is coming from, but haven't had the time to check it out.

That would be me. I picked it up over the weekend as I headed south to Ben and Ari's. on my way back I picked it up and drove out past Best Buy and around the round abouts back towards Home Depot. Then south on 37 until I picked it up again and then turned down pleasant street and headed back towards the square before heading home.
  9. I know how you feel. I keep finding little pockets of LTE popping up. But Ayr very weak signals. Hopefully this weekend I can drive around and fund where they are coming from.

I get the same thing. Lots of little pockets that seem to come from nowhere. I can't keep the signal long enough to track it to its source. also the existing towers seem to be carrying further than a few weeks ago when I mapped them. It is impossible to tell if this is from other towers being tested and slowly brought online or whether existing towers are just being brought up to full strength. (keystone crossing-465, downtown carmel, west carmel...)

I mapped about all of the westfield tower that I can, going north to IN38.

  10. on my way back from ft wayne I was able to map a bit more of I-69 & IN 38 towards noblesville and I got a signal as I approached the home depot westbound on 32 nearing 37 in noblesville. There must be something in the works up that way. I'm not sure where the signal is coming from over there. I didnt find anything as I left town on 146th street. I may have to go looking for it sometime this week.

  11. I beg to differ....Too bad they haven't went west into Hendricks County (Avon, Plainfield, Brownsburg, Danville). :( Hamilton is getting all the love....except Noblesville.... :td:

I mapped a bit more of the westfield tower tonight. That signal is strong. unless there is another tower that I haven't found yet, I got a signal all way to the noblesville town square. I am surprised that Meridian hasn't seen a lot of love yet. from Carmel to downtown.
