PRL = Preferred Roaming List. It's useful when you're outside of Sprint's home coverage and roaming on, say, Verizon. And it might also help your phone find additional pilot channels if Sprint's recently added new frequencies in your area.

Yep same here on the iPhone 6s and btw I'm seeing better signal not sure if it's because of the update but I'm seeing an extra bar of signal

I would keep it. It's not hurting anything. If anything is giving you the benefit to roam with a best provider in the area if Sprint does not have good signal... Many people would kill to get this prl with out putting any effort into it.

That's a good question. The only thing I can think of is to call customer service and see what type of account you have.
