Towers in Glendale, CA on Hawthorne and Wilson just went live with 4G!

I think it went live on Thursday, I had an amazing signal at my office in Glendale, but then Friday I was back to what it was before. I think they may have been testing but if that's the case then I will be stoked when they go full live.

My friends and I always have data issues at Dodger Stadium. Making and receiving calls was no problem. But we rarely succeeded surfing the net or open an sports app or using anything data related. We had Blackberries, EVOs, Epic 4G Touch.... Chavez Latrine was on big black hole.

 

I hope the upgraded towers around the stadium can handle the load.

I've had the same issues as this. Phone calls usually work, but there is pretty much no data. Text messages don't send or receive either. Its usually fine before the game but when most people show up in the 2nd or 3rd its pretty much completely gone.

I always show a great signal when these issues happen. it just doesn't work because the massive amount of people.

Sprint has a tower disguised as a tree overlooking the stadium on a hill which can be seen when looking up over the right field side. So this one being built is for someone else. Looks like AT&T to me but I can't tell for sure.

I'm guessing the sprint tower is this guy that I circled in red. I know they were talking about putting in a bunch of radio towers inside the stadium (at least AT&T ones) so I wonder if they are doing that for all the major carriers. Would be nice to have a decent signal inside that stadium.

If the camera shot is an indicator of where your boss's seats are located, I would guess they are on Club Level in shallow left field.

 

I was last at Chavez Latrine in December and mapped out LTE signal from the Sunset entrance almost to the stadium store in center field.

His seats are Loge box, between 3rd and home. We went up to where the front offices are to take a look. Once I noticed that tower I glanced at my signal and took a pic.

I stopped by Dodger stadium today because my boss wanted to look at the construction progress and I noticed the new tower in the outfield. Looked at my phone and had a perfect 3g signal. No LTE yet, but I'm assuming it will happen in due time.

I obviously don't know if its a sprint tower or not, but I had so much better service in the stadium, I also don't see anything listed on the sponsor map. I forgot to run a speed test too.

Call sprint they can help.

They have been seeing drops on the tower and they are already looking into it. Sounded like their standard response to me haha.

I've had constant 3 Bars LTE (iPhone so actual LTE strength) in my apartment in Hollywood since around November. But all of a sudden the past 24 hours or so I've only been getting 1x (the small circle) I cant even get 3G anymore.

Yeah yeah, I know connect to WiFi, but this has been causing my text messages to not go through either so WiFi isnt helping.

I've never seen it go this long without even 3G, even when they were first working on the tower.

Looks like they either turned on another tower or expanded the coverage in Glendale. As of around 11AM I started getting an LTE signal in my office (when the front half of my office has had it for about a month)

The sears site is not updated yet Its still running the legacy equipment I work in portos right there and speeds vary a lot by moments go more than 1mbps and suddenly drop less than 0.10kbps.That site in the picture is going to give much better coverage on the west part of the city.All LTE in Glendale is from the site in san fernando and chevy chase.

I didnt realize that the sears site wasnt up yet. I could have sworn I saw it on the map as complete. But glad to know I am getting LTE signal in part of my building from a site thats over a mile away. The new site you took a pic of is .5 miles from my office so it should take care of my whole building!

good news for u but i ve been getting LTE all around the west side of glendale

Well its weird, my office is right inbetween that site and the sears site. I can get LTE in the front half of my building but not the back half, im hoping that this site is the one that covers the other half of my office. (I dont have LTE as of today in my office but still get it in the front half of my building)

Aw man, know what sucks? While at work the front half of my building has about 2-3 Bars of LTE. When I walk half way towards the back (where my office is against an outside wall) I only have 3G (.34 down, 1.16 up right this second) Hopefully it will start working its way towards the back of my building soon!

I noticed that at my apartment in Hollywood it has been weird too. When I first moved in a had an amazing LTE signal throughout the whole apartment. Then none at all, but I could still pick it up a block away. And the past few days I could get it in the living room and bathroom but not the bedroom or kitchen. Hopefully they are still doing some testing and put it back up to what it was when I first moved in.

Also I was at Sunset and Highland and was trying to locate the tower at 1519 N McCadden Place and couldnt find it. When I walked next to that address I completely lost my LTE signal which I found strange.

Lets just blame the rain, they probably didnt weatherproof the new stations and had to shut it down before the rain started...

I got some LTE in my office last night for about 30 seconds then it vanished. This morning I got it for about a minute and then I completely lost service and no more LTE. Sounds like they are testing a new Glendale tower.

where is your office??americana or galleria right?

I am actually right beween Pacific and Colombus on Broadway. I know there is an ATT tower on the roof of my building so it may just interfear with my service.

Lucky! I still cant get it in my office, According to the map I would be able to get it like a block west of here on Pacific though.

Some weird stuff going on. Maybe they turned off some towers or something, but I just moved into a new apartment in Hollywood on Saturday and had a really good LTE signal in the whole apartment and then all of a sudden last night when I got home from work I couldnt get any LTE anywhere in my apartment.

Does anyone know if this has happened in other markets prior to official launch?

yeah i live and work in glendale(portos) yeah sometimes are amazing and then slower and then goid again...at work they are super good.there is a site on top of sears building.

I have a direct line of sight to the sears building from my office window, and it sucks here. Hope they turn on whatever they had Monday. Its getting unbearable lately.

Hey, I noticed you are in glendale. I work by the galleria also. Did your 3G become amazing all day Monday and start being crappy again yesterday and today? I know there is an AT&T tower on top of my building but I dont think it should be messing with my signal that much.
