  1. I was able to fix it by installing either meanbean or stock plus goodies. I am using stock plus goodies and like it so far. I am currently S-ON, though I want to figure how to turn it off so i can flash the 3.15 RUU when the next OTA is released to 4.2.2. I put the ROMs on my SD while on the TWRP menu by mounting storage, then just leaded installed through that. Originally I was trying to put the closest ROM to 4.2.2(nexus 4) but that is when I bricked it. After this week I will play with it to get S-OFF and flash a few ROMs before going back to 3.15 and OTAing to 3.16.

P.S. there are still issues with navigation even when rooted.

Back when i had Evo LTE up until March, i was one of the few who updated and unfortunately got stuck to s-on for a longer period of time

then this came along called DirtyRacun, same team that got s-off using Panda

here is direct link for DirtyRacun, read instructions, make sure u have the right system before trying, so like i said read instructions :)

*Edit= I noticed they removed windows 7 and 32bit system requirements and you must have Ubuntu 12.04 (and newer) 32bit

[so basically you have to make a livecd of Ubuntu 12.04 32bit]

here is another option that was under original android development on EVO LTE on xda

[s-Off] Facepalm S-Off for HTC Evo 4g LTE

    (but looks harder than dirtyracun)

or better advice move on from this phone since its known for poor radio/signal performance... the new HTC One is awesome or try something new like a S3, S4, or Note 2, all of these are great phones and in my opinion better than my old Evo LTE...,hope this helps

  2. your right, it is not official LTE market and most is just testing

so far for me on my note 2, it has made a difference on getting LTE and holding onto LTE signal

going up and down highway 5 from airport to imperial beach.....sensorly maps pick up more than twice 4G counts on MA7 vs the new MC2...but it depends per note 2.

and i learned from Digi PRL has nothing to do with getting better signal or not LOL cant blame it on PRL

im definitely learning a lot and noticing the lil things

day 2 with being on ma7 again, and results the same, the mc2 modem for my phone didnt play so well

  3. My impression of the LTE in San Diego is that it's way too variable from day to day and hour to hour to tell if the baseband makes a difference. It'll be interesting to hear if going back helps, but I suggest waiting until LTE is officially turned on before doing any serious tests.

My Note 2 (unrooted) got the upgrade on Wednesday, and I haven't noticed a significant change.

  4. Aiight, here's a question for you Note 2 users

    MA7 vs LK8 vs MC2 modems?

any one here from southern california have any recommendations? Reason i asked i recently upgraded to MC2 i get less 4G LTE in San Diego, i kinda feel like its Evo LTE all over again LOL

so perhaps wondering about others here experience with modems of Note 2, i am definitely going back to MA7 modem because i hate to change between too many times to avoid doing something wrong

  5. Pull the update zip file before you flash. Or pull a logcat before rebooting. I'm sure several people would like to churn through it, including myself.

on the note 2, is it the same location as other phones,

    root of phone, data/local

  6. i went on sprint site and got this piece of info

    Version Release date Description of Enhancement/Fix ----------------- ---------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- L900VPAMC2 4/17/2013

    - Waking a device with the home key incorrectly brings up the Recently Used

    applications screen

    - Home Screen security updates

    source=

    http://community.sprint.com/baw/community/buzzaboutwireless/phones-and-devices/samsung/samsung_galaxy_note_ii/blog/2013/04/17/samsung-galaxy-note-ii-software-updates

  7. Why flash that first?

That's kinda like loading windows 7 then formatting and loading windows 8 10 minutes later.

    Sent from my little Note2

imma noob, its what i would of done since im coming from HTC devices LOL

i blame it on HTC

    on the side note,

i got my note 2, i was still on older version, 4.1.1, so first thing i did was rooted and load twrp, then updated my baseband

  8. Did you do a manual update or is this now being officially pushed out? I grabbed mine from the Android Police mirror when it became available.

it was pushed out to my phone, i was actually looking at the new playstore but i figured i wait, as soon as i open my play store to my suprised it was updated i was like :o cause i was looking up the game Horn, mentioned up above, thought it was free game lol

  9. aiight i have a question, i noticed there is alot of Roms for Sprint note 2, most are based on MA7, from my understanding that its sprint version radio update, now if i were to try to load Jellybomb based on LK8, would that affect the Note 2's services like signal, sms, mms, and net?

  10. LOL...unless they use the quad that's supposed to be in the US model S4's. Or am I mistaken? I don't remember...

if they do ill stick with my note 2 for a longer time maybe for s5 or note 4 :P

  11. .....

As far as the S4...even though it'll be faster I'm still uncertained as to how the battery will hold up in real world usage. That's one of the big selling points for me when it comes to the Note II. I mean I'm not a super heavy user, but it would be nice not to have to charge my device 2/3 times a day like I do with my EVO. I'm so aggrevated with it right now that I'm contemplating smashing it into a brick wall after I upgrade. Who knows? It could very well happen before then. LOL

With having said all of that...it's still in the back of my mind that the Note III should be released later this year. :wall:

yeah second that about the note 3 coming out later this year and most likely with the octa core version too watch just like what happen with S3 and Note 2, only good thing im up for upgrade as early as december 31, 2013 just incase i go bananas LOL

  12. That's exactly what my mindset is. As far as rooting...never done it before, so I'm sure I'll just leave it stock for a while. At some point I'll root it though. In the least it'll calm my inner geek. :P

with samsung devices, trust me its much easier than HTC, I did a big mistake, i took its first update and it updated its hboot, which is needed to unlock the phone to update radio after rooting it. I was able to root it but had to wait a 3 or 4 months before they came out with a easy unlocking method(DirtyRacun), not as easy as my note 2 but easier than all those multiple steps doing it by hand adb commands, needing to use linyx in order to complete.

one reason i rooted my galaxy note 2, is because i wanted to move app data from evo lte into note 2, like saved game data from games, my car maintenance reminders, etc...oh and my text messages as well all in one shot LOL

but i havent loaded a custom rom on this phone, "why break the phone if it isnt broken" so imma hold off on loading a custom rom when this phone just works how it should be.

the processor on s4 is way faster, but my note 2 is just fast enough, if u want more speed and still holding off u can wait to compare the both....

as far with my note 2, i am very happy customer and will be for remainder of this year

  13. Cool. I'm due for my upgrade on the 1st, so I'm just trying to get my ducks in a row.

...now I have to figure out if I want to wait & see a side-by-side comparison between the Note II/GS4, or just say screw it and get the Note II.

yeah i was in same perspective and i said screw it, i like bigger screen and i know note 2 comes with great battery performance off the bat. Its true u hardy use the s-pen but everything else just works off the bat. I still havent loaded a custom rom, but i have Rooted and put TWRP on it.

  14. Just out of curiosity...

...I noticed that you have the 64gb mSD. Did you get the class 10 card? If so...which one, and how does it respond?

for mine, its stock & rooted with TWRP and 64GB MicroSD card class 10 from SanDisk and just works great and I'm assuming how it should be LOL

  15. i Usually used to upgrade only thru TeleSales on Sprint cause of my SERO Plan, I couldnt just upgrade because they could not access my account....but for my Note 2, i got my note 2 thru amazon wireless for phone only

  16. New Year's Eve scheduled texts, lol.

That is probably the best use case I have seen for scheduled messages thusfar, with exception of the automatic happy birthday and happy anniversary texts to your signifcant other or mother/mother-in-law.

was gonna say that too but didnt wanna come on corny :P
