Lte data was spotty last night here in Metrowest but quite consistent this morning. Ran about 10 speed test and they're all right in the same ball park.

last time I ever got LTE in my area was over two months ago, about the same speeds you were getting last night.

Hopefully that will change soon...I never thought I would see lte...well I take that back. I actually thought I would have had lte between December and March at latest, but here we are in July and fiiiinally we have it.

At least when you had lte you had data connectivity...we've had lte signal for couple weeks or more and no data to go with it...drives you nuts!

Hopefully you get it back soon...

  2. Ok power just went out here in the heart of Metrowest so I lost the router but look what I discovered...LTE finally working down and up!

Actually posted this with it instead of Wi-Fi for the first time!

Agreed. Have you seen much LTE around Orlando? If you have, do you see it consistent yet or is it still off and on? It's tough for me to judge because I am still on the 4S and only have 3G. So I am basing my results on the NV 3G rollout.

Um....It's very inconsistent. What I have been finding is that when it switches to LTE, there is no data connection. And that is bad because imessage runs through data so my messages get screwed up. I get LTE here and there around waterford lakes plaza, and when driving around, but it never seems to establish a connection. Was at Universal and Islands of Adventure this weekend, and had literally no service the entire time...like a black zone over there.

Yea once I leave the house (wifi) my phone is grabbing LTE all around me now. But there is no data so I keep getting the no data connection or lost connection..kinda getting frustrating..

Water! water! everywhere yet not a drop to drink!

  4. Ok finally what I've been waiting for, 4G in the heart of Metrowest!!! Off of Metrowest blvd between Kirkman and Hiawassee.

About 20 minutes ago I couldn't receive calls/make calls or text for about 10 minutes at least, it could have been longer not sure. Tried everything and figured it had to be network and not my phone. I decided to switch on airplane mode for awhile and when I switched back and before the wifi connected I briefly saw the 4G icon. I quickly turned off the wifi and BOOM there it was that beautiful 4G symbol! Albeit it's connected but sadly no data yet (had to turn wifi back on to post this) but I know it won't be long now!

  5. Might be a radio difference between the note 2 and s3. Usually if it's going to pick it up it takes between 5 and 15 min and if not then I get to reboot.

You're so right. Didn't even think about the S3 to be honest. ..I'm always in the note 2 forums and forget which one I'm in sometimes thinking everyone is on the note 2. Gf has the S3, I'll have to bring hers with me next time and see if there is a difference.

Yea I wish I knew how adjust the lte settings (scan times, signal strength etc.) like I used to do on the S2 wimax. Never bothered to learn since there was no lte.. lol! Guess I'll have to learn now.

I took a trip to the Walmart Neighborhood Market and my service was the same as before. Very poor signal with 3G only. Do you think maybe they were just testing it because like you said it's a deadzone for Sprint in that area.

Very possibly. I know when I first started getting it in Winter Park near Lakemont elementary school (I'm there once a week also) it was spotty and would bounce between 3g and lte while I was sitting there. Next time I go the the Walmart Plaza I'll check it again.

You shouldn't have to do anything for lte like rebooting and such....well unless you have it turned off in settings. If 4g is available my note has always grabbed it rather quickly.

You are picking it up at the Walmart Neighborhood Market? Ever since that place opened, I have been a frequent visitor and I am lucky if I barely have a bar much less any 3G service. I last went there on Friday night. I plan to go again this evening so I will check it out.

Yea same for me that place is or has been a virtual dead zone until last week when 3g actually registered. This week I was surprised to see LTE. I have a mail box at the UPS store so I'm in that plaza at least once a week.

This is great as I literally live in the Montevista Apartments which is just a couple of minutes away from that park which I go to very often to play basketball. I will more than likely go tomorrow and check it out. Your speeds aren't great at all. I wonder if you are connecting to a tower that's further away.

Quite possibly so because I'm also picking it up for the first time at the old Albertsons Plaza which is now the new Walmart at the corner of Apopka Vineland and Conroy Windermere. I started picking it up at Windermere elementary school a couple weeks ago and the signal (data speeds) is a lot stronger there.

I live off of Conroy Windermere in between Kirkman and Turkey Lake Rd. My service was really bad last night around 9-10 PM. It kept going in and out of roaming even though I was in my apartment. I would get text messages that people were calling me and it wasn't even ringing on my end. I don't know how the data was affected if at all because I was connected to Wi-Fi. I don't think I am close enough to this tower to pick LTE anyways <img src='http://s4gru.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

I hear yea. I'm in Metro West and for the last couple of days the signal has been so bad it frequently says I'm roaming even when I'm on wifi. Explains why I'm not getting calls but get vm's all of the sudden.

  10. I was just checking real quick if I had any text messages before I went offline for about two hours while I rode. I honestly was caught off guard when I saw the 4g..definitely wasn't expecting to see it.

I may be out there tomorrow night and will check again.

  11. I was in Windermere at the Windermere elementary school this evening and looked at my phone just before a bike ride and it was showing 4G! Woo hoo! It's finally getting closer to Metro West!

  12. Got an LTE signal yesterday in front of the Courthouse on Lakemont Av (450 N. Lakemont Avenue, Winter Park, Florida 32789).

When I got back to the car I turned on the screen it said, "4G" up top! First time I've ever seen it on my phone!

Unfortunately it only lasted about 10 secs and switched back to 3g :/

  13. I was almost hesitant to get an LTE phone knowing that the LTE coverage was not soon to follow. My thought process was that all the people with WiMax phones switching to LTE phones would now be only on 3g because the LTE was not available and it would slow down the 3g network.

  14. Hey guys, I also found another sign of 4G LTE in Orlando! Look at the Sensorly Map at the intersection of I-4 and State Road 535. It seems very faint, but Sprint LTE is totally heading our direction!

I just drove through there... wish I had known I would have been looking for it!
