  1. I am getting a good LTE signal all over West Springfield from the Holyoke Mall area to the rt5 interstate 91 merge all the way into CT. From the Westfield line into Downtown Springfield (I haven't gone into Springfield past downtown in a few days). Also I get a consistent LTE signal in Agawam from the West Springfield line all the way up rt 159 and it continues about 1 mile into Suffield CT. Maybe this weekend I'll try to see what I can get east of the Connecticut river on the East side of Springfield towards Wilbraham ,Palmer and Ludlow. But from the looks of it the lower pioneer valley is pretty well covered with LTE right now.

Great to hear, but please fire up Sensorly so we can see all the coverage. There's very little showing west of the river right now. As for the area east of downtown Springfield, there doesn't seem to be much coverage yet. LTE drops off after Mercy Hospital on 291.

  2. Any one picking up any LTE in the lower pioneer valley(Springfield metro). I am looking at getting either the Note 2,S3 or the iphone 5 and was wondering if i would get any 4g.

There's a couple of towers active in Springfield. There's one in Agawam and Longmeadow. Looks like there's a new one in Holyoke as well. if yo check the sensorly maps you can get a good idea ofvthe coverage

  3. Also a question - I have noticed that the signal strength of the tower near my apartment building ( I am right next to RT3) has gotten slowly stronger. It used to switch over to 3g by the time I got off the highway, then I could pick it up on the grounds, and the last few days I have noticed it in my apartment (before my phone switches to wifi). Am I imagining this?

Probably because the leaves are falling off the trees. Leaves can really do a number on your signal. I get a much better signal at my house during the late fall and winter than I do in the spring and summer.

  4. Good news and bad in Springfield. Looks like they added another LTE tower in the North end, probably the one on Birnie Ave., because I was getting a good LTE signal at both Baystate and Mercy hospitals. The other bit of good news is that my phone is now making the 4G connection automatically. When the towers were first lit up I had to go to airplane mode before it would recognize the LTE signal.

The downside is that you can't do anything with it. I can't get any Data to flow when I am on a 4G connection. 3g works fine. Slow, but it's working.

  5. Just drove through Springfield, MA and got a LTE signal while on I-91 in the south end of the city. I was able to run Speedtest and got 6988kbps down/5470kbps up on the first try, 10352/600 on the second. The signal was likely from the Cross St. tower in Agawam, which is just across the river from the highway. While driving through Longmeadow, MA I was also able to pick up a LTE signal, from the Pondside Rd. tower, and was able to get 2669/354.
