The fastest Speedtest I've seen on Sprint was over 200 Mbps but I can't recall where I saw it specifically.
I've hit 215 off the tower that serves my neighborhood in Wheaton IL back in July.

There is still a really rough area over on the southern side, near Griffin/Weston Road. There is a site that's broadcasting eHRPD and 1x800, and doing a poor job of it. That seems to be the last trouble spot in my old stomping grounds.
That trouble spot looks to have been filled by a mini macro. It was either saturated already, or just didn't have proper backhaul yet when my dad tested it (6-8mb down).

Connected a small cell in castleton at the ironworks plaza. Didn't find it to take a picture since I was in a rush. It didn't reach into the restaurant I went in, but provided good service outside.

Anyone still active in the Indy Market? I've been around north Indy for the weekend and have spotted a few Mini Macs.

Just had a similar experience in Wheaton/Naperville for the first time yesterday. I noticed my phone was showing no service while at work, which normally has good coverage. It lasted about 30 seconds before going back to normal. No airplane mode toggling helped during the 30 second window. At dinner my dad and I left our scp up to see if it was just me or not. sure enough, every 10 minutes or so both our phones would totally drop all connections simultaneously. This beyond frustrating! For the last couple of months LTE service drops for a few minutes at random time in the Chicago Loop area (right by the Willis Tower). When I check in the iphone engineering screen, the phone is latched to band 41 and antenna id 83. Any recent issues in the area? Thank you.
Don't know what's up, I've never seen this particular behavior before.

My dad did majorly. He ended up sending it back twice to LG before it got resolved. He thinks his car holster was squeezing the phone too tightly on the sides and causing the GPS antenna to get damaged. When he got it back the last time he switched to a new holster and has had no problems since.Does anyone else have GPS issues with their G5?

My Minneapolis sprint experience over the last two days was good but not great. My hotel had 3xCA with killer speeds, but the wedding venue was barely holding on to b26. Everywhere else has been solid. Never had unusable data.

It only shuts down the radios if you put it in airplane mode, then turn on wifi calling. I can't speak to older implementations

Got the update from beta. I'm very pleased to see that wifi sms in airplane mode is fixed!

Looks like whatever CA issue got resolved. I'm regularly getting speeds higher than expected on CAx2 as I've tested periodically over the last couple of days. I'll go out of my way to try a high signal area at off peak hours to confirm that it is in fact 3xCA kicking in.

Well I finally got out to look at the site over the holiday break. It looks like it has B41 panels up, but it's only broadcasting B25/26. Thankfully that is enough to fill in a huge coverage gap that used to cover a large chunk of north Weston. There is still a really rough area over on the southern side, near Griffin/Weston Road. There is a site that's broadcasting eHRPD and 1x800, and doing a poor job of it. That seems to be the last trouble spot in my old stomping grounds.

Through the Samsung beta app a few months back out of their appstore. The beta is officially over now, so it is likely in carrier testing (or will be soon)How did you get on the beta?

This look like 3xCA? I forget if it used to have 2 SCC sections or not.

Anyone else have the last beta kill wifi calling SMS with airplane mode on?

Don't know what to say because it works just fine for me.
Well to make things even stranger, it started working on my end this afternoon. I did the exact same steps I did before, and got no pop-up this time, and it works perfectly. This is on the same WIFI network I tried earlier in the day too.
-
Well the latest build has killed wifi calling with airplane mode for me. I get a pop up saying it cant operate without proper connectivity, and to turn airplane mode off. Sigh. Back to square one.

Standby is generally better. Can't say I've noticed much difference in my actual usage though. Thanks for sharing. Is battery much better on nougat?

I've been running it on my S7. Most things work really well. Notifications and quick replies are the biggest improvements. As I reported earlier it also fixed my SMS over wifi calling issues. Other stuff is minor but still mostly good. The launcher and overall system UI seems smoother, split screen is implemented slightly differently etc..Anyone using the nougat beta? I missed registration but curious to see how others are experiencing it.
There are a few bugs ive come across in the settings menus, and related to updating apps and themes. I also get a reoccurring app crash about once a day from Amazon photos for some reason. Overall it's very stable and smooth for a beta.

Really strange. My wife's G4 exhibits the exact same behavior I was getting on the s7 previously. My dad's G5 has done the same in the past, but I can't test that one immediately.Yes. I turn off Mobile Data until I need it when I'm not at home. At home, my phone is only connected to WiFi with Data off.
You're the first Sprint person I'm aware saying that WiFi over SMS didn't work.

Anyone else have or not have this issue?
Edit: found a reference to others experiencing the same thing I did on another forum. I'm not sure why there would be inconsistencies like this, but oh well. Just glad it is finally working in my case.

Odd.. I tested it very thoroughly on all the various updates since the s7 dropped and could never get it to send or receive until now. Are you sure you've had radios disabled when you tested it? In my experience it kept a data connection alive and sent SMS that way unless you specifically put it on airplane mode and then enabled WiFi/wifi calling.

Well this is nice to see! Looks like the nougat update bringa with it working SMS over wifi. I've been able to send and receive SMS with all my radios shut off (save wifi of course). Now I should finally have a fully functional phone when I'm on the second level basement at work for hours on end. Huzzah!

Well things have certainly gotten a lot better in Weston. One of the formerly trouble spots is now a full build that's rocking and rolling. Still one more tower to check, but everything else is top notch.
