  1. Here are 2 more photos I took today. If it's just another carrier in that band why is it just now showing up and who is it or am I completely confused as to what was meant by "a second carrier in that band"? It never showed before unless that was one of the recent app updates.

  2. When did that happen? It would be pretty much impossible to do that now. You get shut down after 300MB or so. We're hoping that with the new roaming agreements going into effect, Sprint might be able to drop Verizon and give slightly more liberal roaming caps.

February into March bill. I was in the RMNP and around Estes Park for a few days. Some of which was on Verizon roaming. I was unaware stupid rootmetrics was set to gather data in background so thats what did it. I didnt know until I checked my usage days later because I knew I was roaming and it was limited but needless to say I had a heart attack but never heard anything of it.

  3. Appreciate it...thanks. Yeah I've gotten used to VOLTE on VZW and tmo--though sometimes it drops to HSPA and just regular HD voice. Glad to hear HD voice on Sprint is solid until they officially launch VOLTE. Honestly ATT is the worst in Denver at this point--their sitting on a ton of spectrum and not deploying enough to support the network load. TMO has done a nice job in Denver especially since they rolled band 12 700mhz coverage though they are hampered by non contiguous spectrum here.

I agree, at&t's network was horrible when I had it. I live up in Loveland and travel often to Denver, Cheyennne, and Estes Park. I switched to Sprint back in February and have never been happier. I have no personal experience with T-Mobile but my friend and his g/f have T-Mobile up here in Loveland and they complain about it all the time. They travel often through Denver west to Grand Junction. My Sprint speeds are 10x better than my at&t and the voice quality is way clearer. My Sprint has some of the best service in rural Colorado. As far as roaming I wouldnt let that be the cause of decision because I used over 5GB in data roaming one month and never heard a fuss....realized the dang RootMetrics app was running in the background. From what I recall the only really bad spot west of Denver is the Eisenhower tunnel obviously no signal inside. The only area I have been really disappointed is headed east on 76 towards Nebraska the service is really shotty.

for adding pictures to posts. where is the location of this new tower?

    Thanks.

The tower is located behind here..

    Eaton Corporation

Executive Square, 373 Collins Rd NE # 202, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402

Basically off Collins Rd & C Ave. I live here all my life until 2yrs ago I moved and there isnt any new providers so I'm thinking its either Sprint or iWireless. Possibly iWireless building out the LTE spectrum for T-Mobile.

  5. In home town for family and spotted a new tower. Doesnt seem to be on yet, there was an underground cable company there so I'm just assuming there fi.ishing it up.

I looked and looked and I just cant tell whose it is..any ideas?

Also I cant seem to figure out is Cedar Rapids, IA Samsung or Ericsson market?

Trying to upload photo. File aize too big

  6. The postal code for Nevada. The Silver State. East of California, west of Utah. Home to Las Vegas and Reno.

    AJ

Actually I think what they meant "Network Vision" according to previous post he did not quotequote and post-post.

    I thought that was done??

  7. For some reason, when I run speedtests, the needle jumps really fast to the 10 Mbps spot, then stays consistent at around the 1 Mbps spot. Does this mean anything?

I wouldn't let it bother you. Honestly I have had great success with using the Sprint Zone app on reporting issues. The two issues I reported in my area have been fixed already.

I noticed that depending on the speed test I run it can vary a lot. The smaller the file the slower the speed. I found that if it's a larger file the bandwith will skyrocket. Try finding one that runs a larger file than 1-2mb to test.

  8. Well, this morning, I saw a just in speed, from a speedtest. I saw 5.67 Mbps download at my house when the usual speed is around .55 to 1.10, which now it's back to the usual now. It makes me think that they're working on a cell tower. Anyone think it could be the cause, tower work?

The WiFi issue is most likely caused from "Sprint Connections Optimizer" switching automatically trying to give you the best connection.

    Go into;

    1 Settings

    2 More Networks

    3 Mobile Networks

    4 Connections Optimizer

    TURN IT OFF

As far as the other issue YES it was the tower. I had the same problem week ago the tower only had 3G although its back up now I don't notice any difference so not sure what happened.

  9. Any reason why Sprint only has a few of its Clearwire sites switched over in my area?? And IF they are keeping all the Clearwire sites why is one in my area not on and or shown through Sprint(the tower with the arrow)? I posted some pictures showing Clearwire towers and Sprint towers and the towers that have Clearwire 2.5 but is not switched over to Sprint(the circled towers are not on 2.5 yet for Sprint). Are they ever going to switch them over or are they going to decommission them because that would just be completely dumb.

  10. Try to make this as short and simple as possible. I have three devices; 2 of which are on the same plan and the third on a separate plan.

The third device is my tab 4 which is picking up SprintB41 site 310120 just great. I get 3 bars downstairs.

My other two devices; Galaxy Note 4 & Galaxy Note Edge for some reason will not pick up this tower. I have tried PRL updates, Profile updates, restarted the phones and all I can get them to connect to is a ClearwireB41 site.

More background info...all devices have same Sim card as when purchased, tablet stays off 3/4 of the day and my phones are on when I wake up and turn them off at night. No matter where I go inside or out my phones won't connect to the Sprint site.

Anybody have any ideas before I call Sprint trying to figure something out? I'm not sure how long the tablet has been able to connect to this site so I'm not sure what to think of it besides agitated that the tablet of all things is connecting. I posted two photos; one of the tablet connected to the Sprint site; second of the Clear wire site my phones connect to.

    Thanks in advance.
