  1. I currently live in the the Detroit Metro area and I've been trying to cvonnect to LTE. I always get service wether im at work or on the go by my LTE speeds are horrible. My 3g speeds are much faster. Is this common?

My lte speeds avg. .25 down .100 up

    My 3g speeds avg .260 down .600up

I've been having the same problem all over Wayne, Oakland, and Genesee counties including areas where I used to have decent LTE speeds. Not sure what's been going on, but I hope it ends soon.

Which is exciting news because I received that marginal 4g signal (1 bar) while employing the Airave 2.5! From what I'm seeing, the reach of 4g LTE signals is quite impressive.

Yeah I've found the signal reach to be very impressive too! I get a brief connection to LTE at my house on occasion at night and the closest live tower is 4.5 miles away.

  3. My original discovery of a 4g signal was in my bed room on the 2nd floor of my apt building. I happen to be running an Airave 2.5 extender device due to the crappy voice reception at this location. I'm extremely curious whether or not the Airave was extending that signal, since supposedly those devices are unable to route 4g (from what I've read).

I run an Airave 2.5 too. Airaves don't actually extend the signal from the tower. They broadcast their own signal from your broadband and in essence are a mini cell tower - not a repeater or booster. Airave 2.5 is only 3G capable. Any LTE signal you are receiving at your house is coming from a Sprint tower.

  4. Just got back from my LTE saga. Drove around Lake Orion a little bit, and found the upgraded tower. It's a biggun on the property of Odyssey Industries on Indianwood between Newman and Baldwin. Managed to hold onto 4G as far south as Clarkston/Pinetree and as far east as Heights/Lapeer. Now if only Sprint would start work on the tower at Clarkston/Lapeer, which I can see from my house!

Also managed 17.5 down / 4.5 up doing a speedtest while I was right near the tower.

I got 17.5 Mbs down and 10.5 Mbs up at Balwin and Maybe.

Dude, is that you painting purple all over Flint?? Every time I checked Sensorly there was more and more and more going on. I was trying to plan a trip around that area but my planned routes kept getting painted. I hit MCC, down 475 a bit and carried LTE on 69 all the way out to 23/75. Signal dropped out on the backside of MCC campus but picked it up no problem at the RTC.

BTW, I'm not complaining at all. You're doing a fantastic job!!

Yeah, that's me. I've been busy. Probably won't have time for a few days now. Any help would be appreciated.
