MostOfTheApps, I've Tried ThatYou Can type In, Everything Other Than The Microphone Is Fine.
-
Is it happening in all applications. I use swype mostly for texting and it is working fine. I tried the swiftkey flow beta, but it didn't work with most of the google apps.
When I Text, Just No Microphone. everything Else No AutoSpacing And CapitalizingEverything. Used Stock Browser.

Having Problems With The Text Entry Also. My Swype No Longer AutoSpaces, And As YouCan See, Capitalizes Every Word. Does AnyonE Know How To Fix This And Get My Microphone Back On My Keyboard?

I used the EVO LTE in Waco, which has the densest LTE deployment yet in the country and it still struggled to keep a connection in fully deployed areas. And that is after the latest OTA. Maybe a future one will fix it. But I'm starting to get pessimistic.
Robert
Great, now I'm going to freak out.

I was just on 59 at portillos didn't even check for 4g cause I'm sick switching to airplane mode all day on my evo. It makes trying to map wth sensorly a pain I'm the ass. I got my evo posted on Craigslist right now!
I've not gotten it in that area either. I would not panic on the EVO yet, From what I've seen so far, if I'm in a LTE area with a strong signal, the switch is pretty quick. It only seems to lag when the signal is questionable. It seems the phone can't decide which way to go. If the system gets filled in as good as Robert and others have implied, I'm sure this will be a moot issue.

what side town are you on. I stay buy family fun zone on cedar wood and Theodore
I'm in the "western dead zone." It seems if you go west of 59 the signal drops

ever since i was able to get 4g at my house in joliet a few days ago I've used almost 3 gigs of data in speedtests alone! I try to stop but its hard!
I'm not getting the LTE at my house in Joliet, but when I've been out and about getting it, I've gone through just over a gig so far

But I think its going to be worth it

Drink it in.....
This is a new system being turned on slowly, it'd be foolish to think there would be no hiccups

The list has 35 more sites on it.

Filled in a bunch of 355 and 55.
Nothing at home yet, but progress is progress...

Wonder if there will be LTE around Medinah active this weekend.
Just drove past there (about 5:30am), got no LTE, but saw that all the good Ryder Cup parking was almost gone.

I've been mapping the joliet area as well. its like an obsession now lol
I've been going different routes just to fill in the 3g info...

sprint must be doing something in joliet. Im getting a nice 4g signal finally about 12 down and 10 up. yesterday at my house I was lucky to get 3 down. My girl just got home and said she got a strong 4g signal in new lenox on her way home an hour ago. Sprints making my decision to stay look brilliant!..... So far
I just got a taste of it as well out here. Check Sensorly, I mapped canton farm from 59 to 55. Now lets hope it keeps going west of 59..... Fingers crossed.....

I should say that the speed and depth of response to every issue by Robert and all the contributing members is a clear indication to how much they care. Last I checked no one here was looking into off shore accounts to hide their gains....
Thanks Robert, keep up with the good work. Maybe Sprint should start giving you a kick back for all the customers you've saved them......

Completely coincidence. There is nothing about eHRPD that is slower. It is just a software upgrade that allows EVDO to maintain the same IP as LTE for seamless hand offs.
Robert via Samsung Galaxy S-III 32GB using Forum Runner
Progress is progress. I was getting occasional bursts of LTE before I even started seeing the eHrpd, I'm still waiting for it to come back now that I know about the debug menu. Can't wait to see the signal strength to see if LTE is going to be possible in my house.
-
EVDO and eHrpd use the SAME backhaul, so speeds should be about the same
EHrpd just showed up around me about a week ago, before that I was averaging about 1 up and down. Since the switch my speeds have been down
-
How do you post images here?
The imagine has to be hosted third party on something like imageshack or photobucket
-
No LTE and starting to miss EVDO
-
I used Sensorly on my 40 mile trip through Will and DuPage today. 3g points: 2224. 4g points: 0. I even did the airplane mode thing about 5 times.
-
yeah the tower is on the corner of the golf course
I'll check next time through. Doesn't help for the home, but it's good to see it's near by
-
Was running some errands near Route 59 & 87th got me some LTE
That's just up the road from me, fingers crossed

Was thinking I'd wake up to lte in Joliet, but I think they flipped the switch the wrong way. No 4g, and 3g is slower than it's been in a long time. Maybe later.......
-
I got this last week In Joliet but for the last 2 days I've only been getting ehrpd every once in awhile 4g would pop on but soon as I try to use it it disconnects
I'm in the same boat, Joliet area had the lte then lost it, getting only the ehrpd. I tasted the lte last night but unusable also.

Update on the swipe issue. I switched to the sense keypad ,and the spacing and capitalization issues are fixed ,plus the microphone is back. I don't like the layout as much, but it's a start......
