I used the EVO LTE in Waco, which has the densest LTE deployment yet in the country and it still struggled to keep a connection in fully deployed areas. And that is after the latest OTA. Maybe a future one will fix it. But I'm starting to get pessimistic.

Great, now I'm going to freak out.

  2. I was just on 59 at portillos didn't even check for 4g cause I'm sick switching to airplane mode all day on my evo. It makes trying to map wth sensorly a pain I'm the ass. I got my evo posted on Craigslist right now!

I've not gotten it in that area either. I would not panic on the EVO yet, From what I've seen so far, if I'm in a LTE area with a strong signal, the switch is pretty quick. It only seems to lag when the signal is questionable. It seems the phone can't decide which way to go. If the system gets filled in as good as Robert and others have implied, I'm sure this will be a moot issue.

  3. ever since i was able to get 4g at my house in joliet a few days ago I've used almost 3 gigs of data in speedtests alone! I try to stop but its hard!

I'm not getting the LTE at my house in Joliet, but when I've been out and about getting it, I've gone through just over a gig so far

  4. sprint must be doing something in joliet. Im getting a nice 4g signal finally about 12 down and 10 up. yesterday at my house I was lucky to get 3 down. My girl just got home and said she got a strong 4g signal in new lenox on her way home an hour ago. Sprints making my decision to stay look brilliant!..... So far

I just got a taste of it as well out here. Check Sensorly, I mapped canton farm from 59 to 55. Now lets hope it keeps going west of 59..... Fingers crossed.....

  5. I should say that the speed and depth of response to every issue by Robert and all the contributing members is a clear indication to how much they care. Last I checked no one here was looking into off shore accounts to hide their gains....

Thanks Robert, keep up with the good work. Maybe Sprint should start giving you a kick back for all the customers you've saved them......

Completely coincidence. There is nothing about eHRPD that is slower. It is just a software upgrade that allows EVDO to maintain the same IP as LTE for seamless hand offs.

Progress is progress. I was getting occasional bursts of LTE before I even started seeing the eHrpd, I'm still waiting for it to come back now that I know about the debug menu. Can't wait to see the signal strength to see if LTE is going to be possible in my house.

  7. I got this last week In Joliet but for the last 2 days I've only been getting ehrpd every once in awhile 4g would pop on but soon as I try to use it it disconnects

I'm in the same boat, Joliet area had the lte then lost it, getting only the ehrpd. I tasted the lte last night but unusable also.
