  1. so can anyone explain why my lte speeds on the note 3 obviously run b25... have low ping like 50ms. but speeds are 700kbps... but on my bro note 4 I'm guessing he's on b41 are 30mpbs...  we have to be connected to same tower so the backhaul has to be the same and so shouldn't the max speed available on b25 actually be achievable?

  2. lolol wow everyone arguing about Samsung's attempt at the GLOBAL Phone Takeover that Apple started and there following suit. SMH at Samsung. The versatile phones always pushing forward with releasing as much new technology as possible in a phone was amazing. Now they are sitting back and taking the coward way out on releasing new phones. With minor updates that no one really cares for. The metal frame is so that you have to buy new phones ones its mangled like iPhones. I repair phones so I know how it is. No one can tell me otherwise. GS6 release is a sad day for Samsung Fans and Supporters. I've had s2, s3, s4, and now Note 3. I am saddened but this release I was gonna downsize but just going to upgrade to the Note 4 hopefully the Note 5 they won't make the mistake of making it metal.

  3. well that would make sense being that I live about 5 mini blocks from one tower and about 4 regular blocks from the other... and I have half the reception on my phone for voice and prob -102 on the lte signal. so its either microwave at the moment or they turned up the juice on a further one while they make the necessary upgrades to the others

  4. well thats what you say... but I will go check this fiber wire that was ran to pole but not to the building. or at least that what it appearsed to be I meant to look earlier to see if that cable actually ran up to the building but my ADD got the best of me and I turned sooner then I should have. Hopefully tomorrow I will remember to pass and check. You may be right but you just might not? ahh whatever point is this is the first time they said they are gonna do something and are actually doing it. MARCH was the better of the two updates they promised. So lets see...

  5. so remember how I told you LTE is clicking in my house now... its slow but its clicking... well one of the legacy towers they just updated on an old Movie Theater that hasnt been open in over 8 years... they been remodeling for a conversion... and I guess they finally got the owner permission to get up top because they it shows the last two days that it been completed even tho lte been slow but live for the last 2 weeks. This is big progress for Sprint considering the last time this area ever seen an update was more then 10 years ago. SMH happy excited but not so yet lol still running T1 lines Im sure.

  6. IM still dumbfound at the fact that this LTE came went away for a few hours and came back to stay I'm guessing even though my wifi is retarded its good to know I can somewhat rely on it when Im outside and don't have to drive into an LTE area just to use my phone. and PCS carrier what does that mean?

  7. yesterday I walked in to get something and go and I was standing in the bathroom... and looked down at phone and noticed 4g let lol was super excited I think all yesterday I had in on note 3... did the 1 in afternoon speed test and 1 in the am this am... 1/14 speed test.. NO LTE today makes no sense. but its cool knowing I got it in the house so that means LTE real soon in this area. But Im curious I downloaded the app and paid for it but it doesn't say the band that the internet is connected on... ?

that screenshot was wrong... I will post correct one in next post

  8. Sooo long story short and not to get personal but I was on my roof yesterday and caught a sliver of LTE on my NOTE 3 for obvious reasons I was in clear way of an LTE tower... forgot the PING but had about 2 mbps on download didnt really care to see up. I knew I only had the signal because I was on roof so it was cool but didn't really excite me. Myrtle n Decatur St was voice update and evergreen and cooper was lte update... so tonight I go home to grab some stuff and my bro tells me to look at his phone... ie NOTE 4... and low and behold he has LTE so I Speedtest it and... he gets about 6down 9up... hmmm let's see what happens the next few days... either I upgrade to Note 4 or wait for s6 or I just wait to see if they do one of two updates in between...

  9. it makes sense but never go against the grain always supposed to do your own testing before you fall into the hype of a new technology. its like politics. we elect one selfish .... president after another... why because of the popular vote not for who should really be in office. 9 times out of 10 none of them should be they don't know what they are getting themselves into make false promises sort of like whats been going on. Its sad that the backhaul is our biggest setback when it comes to our LTE. the towers appear to be there just no power to them now thats sad! maybe we should find out who these companies are and make complaints about them on behalf of Sprint. Since we are the people we are the power behind Sprints finances. Without us there is no them...

That's mainly because anytime they "Sprint"-ed they go shafted. Remember WiMax? First 4G network in the U.S. and no one adopted it. Sprint is being smart in letting the other carriers be the guinea pigs and then deploying afterwards even better than them.

  10. well yes.. I have the note 3 but again my bro has the note 4 and seems to have same service as me in areas I know I have bad service he does as well. but like I said Im going to see if my s4 that has a cracked screen is tribunal if it is I will fix it and connect it and see. I refuse to upgrade or buy a brand-new phone for service that Snails ahead (pun intended) I rode out this long Im giving a few more months 3 at most to see if they get fiber in my area before I jump shit I don't mind sticking with them if they get at least let rolling at least on b25... then ill be content that they will work their way up the rest of the bands.

  11. thats true. i feel they never done anything with the 3g as they say they have.

I've never had any issues with voice especially now since I have my iP6, Sometimes it would disconnect on my 5 but that was rarely. I feel as though Sprint never even really upgraded the 3G side of data. Most sites are upgraded for 4G but I feel like they just left 3G as legacy and I could understand that but it's a little annoying especially when you fall off 4G.

  12. DATA is EVERYTHING has been since the first 3g phone. Sprint 3g speeds very rarely surpassed 1mb... so they really do have a lot of catching up. 3g is fine with me as long as its consistent. Thats what I care about I don't care about 50mbps on my cellphone more speed means bad battery life. I just want my $350 dollars a month worth service for me and my family!

As for VOICE... like he said who cares about voice anymore. People so rarely use voice that it's a non congested network. ONLY time my voice is bad is when Im going to the Bronx through the 59th St Bridge... or places like the Jackie Robinson on Cypress Hills street Exit... Or across Cypress Ave Bushwick Rigewood Williamsburg SIGNALS seems to be "crossed"but we all know the towers are all legacy. those towers that are Stated as Spark Towers or LTE towers in Bushwick are EHHH not at all. Service signal might be LTE but speeds are still 2g. Very bad that they claim LTE when there is no FIBER! I wish on a user end Sprint would let us help them make the service better by acting on our complaints rather than logging them.

  13. Exactly DATA IS EVERYTHING and has been EVERYTHING for at least 10 years now.... the first 3g phone I said it. My 3G speeds have always been 2 or 300kbps but those days hopefully will be over soon WISHFUL THINKING! lol. but as for VOICE I only care about that when Im driving from Queens or Brooklyn to the Bronx. Thats when it matters most. When I cross the 59th St Bridge and the phone cuts off about 3/4 of the way down lmao I hateeee or when I come down the Jackie Robinson at Cypress Ave it cuts off.

  14. yes exactly. all this outrageous speeds for sprint don't make a difference we need steady constant speeds and thats it... boost doesn't matter at this point. they need to catch up with tmobile verizon and att 3g speed already. my least of 100 is like 45 50 during the day. as for better voice calls.. there was never a problem with the voice end ever its rare I get a dropped call maybe 4 or 5 times a year and thats like maybe once locally if not Ill get dropped call elsewhere. I never complain about voice... JUST DATA!

  15. work... it's a love hate thing... they said they were upgrading these towers 2 years ago.. so this might take another 3-6 months... FIBER odds are its Verizon... and if isn't Verizon its some other company that FIBER is non existent in the areas that these towers are  existing. Just trying to stay on WIFI as much as possible to forget the problem exists.

Yeah but at least now you see work being done, you know?
