3xCA on Central Ave in Colonie is rocking. Sprint has made nice improvements in upstate. Still more to go coverage wise but it’s better than it was 2 years ago.

Things looking good in UNY. I just had a 121 MB download in Glens Falls NY with my XS Max. I’ve also noticed the TMO roaming helping fill the gaps too. I’ve found my phone roaming to B2 & 12 on CA. 2nd pic is circled TMO speed test.

I’ll have to check next time I’m down there, it’s still 5 MHz B25 where I live. We just got our first tower in town with B41 though so changes are coming

At RPI in Troy, running 10x5 band 25 CA. Looks like 8321 is the DL & UL with 8665 as the 2nd DL channel. iPhone makes it hard to tell. Good speed though.

Down at Colonie center in Albany and Sprint is running a 10 MHz PCS B block channel here. It’s what we had throughout central IL, 8290 earfcn. The speeds are atrocious, 1.5 mb down and 2 up. Could be optimizing it still, it’s improvement though and when it is right with good backhaul it will pull an easy 40 down and be very strong.

Ran a Speedtest today on the GF tower with B41 and got 47 down, upload was around 3. It looked like a dual carrier is active too as it bounced from 40978 to 41176 and the iPhone field test earfcn would go from 0 to 1 to show the dual carrier. I couldn’t find any B41 on the other towers in GF, Queensbury or Lake George.

I’ll have to check myself, I’m in Queensbury but only connect to band 25 at home. We have had downtime in the last week or so so this is great news! I noticed a 2nd B25 carrier a couple weeks ago but no B41. My wife works in downtown GF so she will be happy to see her phone work better now.

Was in Albany today and found carrier aggregation in use. It was 2 5mhz Band 25 channels, 8321 & 8665. Gave me a solid download of 33mb and upload was 5 mb so definitely an improvement from the 5 down and 3 up I usually see in Glens Falls.

Thanks for the responses everyone, if I was in downtown Glens Falls I had decent enough reception to have usable LTE. Lake George was all 3G/1X for me. The 3G was usable for 3G but nothing great. I would be happy with a second carrier on B25 as I doubt B41 will come anytime soon. Verizon is king upstate and ATT is quickly catching up. Sprint is cheaper for us until January when I have to pay for lines 3-5 so if no real improvement comes I'll switch to Verizon or AT&T then.

Anyone on here know if Sprint is making any kind of improvements in Glens Falls/Queensbury NY? We are moving there and coverage last week was just awful. I'd get a mile away from the tower and would drop to 3G/1X or extended coverage. The LTE was 8665 EARFCN so 5 MHz band 25. I could get 5mb down if I stood under the tower otherwise 2-3 at best with some congestion. I can't see sticking with Sprint for this type of coverage. Even the NYS Thruway was mainly 3G/1X with scattered LTE until Utica when it switched to mainly LTE but still horribly slow.

Trying to decide whether to switch to Sprint, live in Chatham and work in Springfield SW side. Is spark active on B41 like sprint claims and if so what are the average speeds?

I'm in Chatham IL and with my boost prepaid LG Optimus just saw 4G today. The signal was -112 in my house and speed was 2.4 MB down and .20 up, progress being made here.
