Any news on full spark capability in Fresno?
-
Sprint postpaid doesn't limit streaming video to 3g speeds?
-
Yea towers are sparse hereDefinitely not Ashlan and First. I Work very near there and that neighborhood is still mostly 3g. No towers nearby enough. It will on rare occasion kick over to 4g but never indoors.
Hopefully 800 fixes that

Got a lg volt on boost. So far at home seems like 800mhz isnt active yet in fresno
Near ashlan and first

enjoy
Wow how's Fresno?
-
Looks like sprint now updated their map to show all of frenso and clovis with lte.
What are your speeds and coverage looking like?
-
Looks like their strongest coverage and speeds are in each others weakest areas
T-Mobile's signal here in Fresno is very spotty for LTE (as is Sprint's so far). Not sure if it is more stable elsewhere but it's great and then horiible a block apart. (and admittedly so is Sprint).

What app is that
Well if it goes back again screen shot it you can see it like this

They are working on Kerman's tower right now.
They need it
-
If Tulare county can't currently get 800 SMR because of its proximity to San Bernardino county, Kern county probably can't either.
Why is that a problem?
-
Since 2012
Great to see it finally happened. Sadly, most of us here had been hopeful for September....2013.
What I dont understand is the towers that went LTE live. I thought the whole point of waiting for a cluster launch...was that it was all systems go? That doesnt seem the case.
Or am I confused about that?
Not quite yet. Site spacing is still poor, especially downtown and in the new neighborhoods (ie, anything build post 2000)
Next step is more towers.
Ironically, the one location that has had 4G since 2009...

How are the speeds

Looks to be meeting their end of month launch

Good to know, move on now?
It doesn't matter, like I said.

thank you that was much better than
That doesn't matter
Sprint likes to get as few backhaul providers as possible per market for logistics and simplicity of management. They went out to bid looking for coverage first. Each bidder showed which sites they could cover, and then they were selected.
Then a list of sites which were not covered by bids is put together, and Sprint regional managers have to hunt down who can provide fiber to that site, one by one. Sometimes even the OEM helps when that happens. This is the reasoning why many full build sites are waiting to go LTE. I hear some good things that Sprint may be looking to go to microwave on some of these remaining sites.
Fiber is very admirable. But microwave to bridge the gap is needed now. Fiber can follow up later. This is what VZW did. They used lots of MW at sites they could not get fiber quickly, easily or at a reasonable cost.
