  1. Since 4 g LTE is officially launched and I'm only getting 1 bar and averaging 3-4mbps on my HTC One m7, would upgrading to a spark capable phone significantly boost these averages ?

FWIW, a half mile up the street and I get 3 x the above mentioned speeds, if not, what can I do short of moving half a mile or so away, signal booster, downloading large files / apps takes forever and the 4 g I'm getting is just marginally faster often times than 3 g which I get a full bars,

With one bar 4g, I'm missing calls sometimes, so now I have forced 3 g cdma only, I guess they need a repeater or something, been waiting years for the future of high speed data and and it seems at least so far, it's barely faster than 3 g, I hope things get better since I have a new 2 yr sprint contract and all the promises of this super high speed New network, I'm still hoping that my particular area will get a boost soon like I see a half mile up.the road

You need to [emoji125] and get a tri-band device and then you'll see the light . Service has improved leaps and bounds even since March of this year.

  2. I have no doubt we need the extra back up.  I just hope they finish the build out before sending the resources elsewhere.  What is the Max speed 1900 is capable of currently?  My son has gotten a few 50+ speed tests and I am curious what band they were on.  The device is listing band 25 but I am not sure that is even possible.

Yeah I would really doubt that he's on band 25, anything above 30mbps is a different sign of good things coming :tu:

  3. Thanks!! Well there are other ways in which you can contribute but being able to provide updates on other areas that aren't checked frequently are great as well. Here's the info in which i mentioned previously, you need to become a sponsor to enter and view (if i'm not mistaken) But with the cause of finding updated radios/towers it always good to know if other ppl can contribute.

  4. Plasma, what phone do you have and can you get us scp or engineering screens to find ur tower? Are you a sponsor yet for maps and spreadsheets?

That was me. So far I have gotten good speeds from the Twin Lanterns tower the Mack north tower at 5 points and the tower at Shady Lane and Bridgetown Road. My opinion concerning your seeming lack of signal is that like me you are unfortunately limited by terrain. The whole westside where we live is nothing but hills and trees and then more hills and trees. That takes a tole on the signal. I am almost exactly between the Twin Lanterns and Mack north towers and yet at home I rarely can get 4G in the house. Outside i can usually get 2 bars. My question to you is do you have wi-fi in your house? I do so I really don't give a hoot what my 4G signal strength is. I always use my wi-fi. I only care about 4G when I go someplace without wi-fi. Of course if you don't have wi-fi at home that is a different problem. But in either case, the overriding factor in our neighborhood is the terrain. Not much we can do about it short of moving.

Yes we need more recruits on the hunt for NV 1.0 completion. I've went as far west as I could to identify radios and since you're at that location (and could possibly search for others in your area if it isn't an inconvenience) help the Cincinnati/Dayton/KY identify these locations. I'm new just like yourself and you could be a great resource in the far west-side, please consider it.

As for your struggles, I've faced them with you brother... it's tough to get strong signal in the west-side, I'm more inside the city than your locale. But as you've noticed, great strides have been made and they are sweeping the city and soon our locale will be stronger. This is an exciting time to be with Sprint!

  5. I was in private property under the Tamarco address. I took this picture, literally behind a fence and a building. I may have a better shot when on the highway. Funny how that the radios don't get picked up while underneath. I felt like a private eye looking for secrets.

  6. Thanks to all that replied to my last post. I was hoping it was as you described. I remember seeing a map on the site that showed all towers that were not being updated and as I recall there were none in the Cincinnati area.

On a side note, for you westsiders out there, I just layed a string of purple from Ebenezer and Werk, down to 5 points and out to Dog Trot then back to 5 points on Taylor without once dropping to 3G. Things are looking up in the West.

    Thanks afain all.

I just marked a tower on Bridgetown road, Taylor Road and on Harrison Ave. This afternoon
  7. Good morning team! I found many 1x800 signals around my neighhood this morning. Would this be by any chance apart of the updates that are Network Vision related... If so I have screen shots and engineering screens to back up my findings. Please let me know

  8. I've noticed the first few days of a tower coming online with LTE that it appears to be capped at 15Mbps. Try again in a few days and you'll probably be seeing closer to 30Mbps speed [emoji41]
