-
So does anyone have any info on the 4G thats been showing up in Sioux Falls on Sensorly? i also see some in brookings. what band are they using? is it decent speed?
-
Has anyone else noticed LTE in Sioux Falls on sensory?? Can anyone confirm that
-
Thats really too bad.. they really need to buy them out or something. Id really like to enjoy LTE in SD haha

Why wouldnt sprint pay for swiftel to upgrade there towers, when they are willing to pay CCA carriers like James Valley to upgrade.. makes no sense to me...
-
Roaming usage typically shows up on my account within 48 hours of the time it was used. I have had a few occurrences where it has taken longer on Commnet. But I don't think it has ever been more than 5 days.
Using Nexus 6 on Tapatalk
Last time i was up at my Family's near Doland, SD i used about 800 MB and it was all Native on my bill. its pretty sweet!

On my up to Dakota del Norte!
excited for the report!! I'm going up there in a month!
-
From Bismarck to Dickinson in North Dakota, a Sensorly LTE purple streak appeared along I-94 and off the freeway in Bismarck and north of Dickinson. Don't know if it is Sensorly pollution or the real deal. If I didn't have committed plans this weekend, I'd drive up there and check it out. Anyone else going through soon?
Crazy!! i go up there all the time family lives near there, was sprint planning on adding towers in that area? hmmm..
-
Ok I'll see what I can do tomorrow
-
Since it doesn't give an actual address, we can't use the SCP screen to confirm anything.
mmk, what can i do to confirm address and such?
-
This thread would work for the specific information.
i put the pic up of my signal check pro screen for the tower already. tomorrow morning ill swing up with my camera and take some pics of the tower. its kinda hard for me to get close to the base since its practically in a farm yard. but ill use my real camera (not my phone) and try to get good pics of the panels and such.

Yeah, I notice that it also is showing some new 3G & More Roaming in Northern Idaho, Eastern Washington, Western Kansas/OK Panhandle (NextTech and United), Eastern Texas, NW Louisiana, Arkansas, NE Oklahoma/SW Missouri, Northern Wisconsin, SE Ohio, Western West Virginia, Southern Kentucky (Bluegrass), South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi (C-Spire). And even Puerto Rico!
What's interesting is that James Valley Telephone in Aberdeen is a GSM/WCDMA provider. So, either, they have complete a CDMA overlay for Sprint, or this coverage is only for Sprint devices that support GSM/WCDMA.
Now the big question is...does this 3G roaming count against your paltry roaming allowances?
So i got a question.. can Sprint build out in south dakota… say from watertown to Doland, SD where there is no coverage between james valley comm. and sprint (swiftel) in watertown? or is swiftel the only ones that can build out in south dakota..
-
and I'm getting extremely impressive speeds off the 3g.. but I'm pretty sure I'm the only one in the area with sprint since it was roaming here prior.

This is a pic i took of my old samsung that has signal check pro on it since i have an iPhone. shows that I'm connected to Vesta, MN its pretty awesome they decided to put a tower 6 miles from me. i was in roaming before this. picked up very faint signal from a tower 20 miles south. (very flat around here)

my grandma lives in that area and ill be going up to visit her next weekend. so I'm kinda anxious to see what my phone does/says.

Will these partnerships show up on coverage maps for Sprint indicating what type of roaming it is? Or will there be a S4GRU coverage map to show them?
i noticed that if you go into the sprint coverage map on there website. and click 3G and MORE it shows coverage in south dakota by aberdeen.

Yeah I took some pics of the tower and my signal check pro. Where should I post them?
-
They put it on a ATT tower. They just did the same thing in Minneota Minnesota north of Marshall. It's great. I can't believe they actually are building out. Gives me hope
-
They did put a new tower up in Vesta, MN about 3PM it went live today!!! Now I have coverage at home and from redwood falls mn to marshall! Pretty awesome! Happy guy right here. Too bad they didn't light it up with LTE.. But I got 3mbps on 3G but I'm sure it's cause I'm literally the only person in my area with sprint.

so today i turned on my old Samsung SII that i have in the drawer. (i currently have an iPhone) and i signal check pro keeps saying I'm connecting to Vesta, MN via 1x800 and damn near a full signal. but it shows up for 2 seconds then goes away. does that mean they are working on it currently to have it up and running? what are the time lines on these kind of things with new towers.
-
BTW.. I know its sprint panels up there because I talked with the farmer (my neighbor) about it and he said when the crews showed up at his place he was out talking to them said its for the sprint network.
-
Anyway I can find out about a new Tower in Vesta MN, sprint has panels up but it hasn't been turned on yet. its in the middle of a roaming area, they recently placed a new tower in Minneota, Minnesota. which is awesome because I take that way home to South Dakota a lot. but the Vesta, MN tower is near where I live and would be awesome to see if anyone knows a way of digging into finding out info on that tower. They added a rack to an AT&T tower there, same as they did in Minneota.
