  1. In Orlando sprint is borderline on pcs spectrum holdings with 27.5 mhz of pcs a-f spectrum.

In addition your scp is a false positive since 8665 is band 25 pcs g block. The reason why scp is saying second carrier is because the gci ends in 04 since in Samsung markers 03/04/05 denote second carrier.

Is any of the 27.5 mhz of PCS a-f spectrum being used for a certain function? And if some of it is what else can they do with the rest of the holdings?

  2. B26 may improve if Sprint will bump all the people off of it that are within B25 range too. Some network optimization will get B26 humming again. Right now it is parking far too many people on B26.

It seems like it’s sprint’s only band with the overload on b26

  3. It's pretty good here in Orlando. I mean b41 is everywhere here though. Without it, we would be in trouble.

Side note: I was having some issues with data today. Not sure if that was a temporary thing or related to the new iOS update I just did.

I can't wait to upgrade later this year. I'm stuck on b26 90% of the time sub 1mbps , how are speeds on the east side?

  4. Nothing? Ah, but in terms of rack space, Sprint has more available real estate than does T-Mobile.

Most Sprint sites are sporting now just one or two antenna panels per sector -- leaving ample space and weight/wind loading capacity for one or two additional antenna panels. Conversely, T-Mobile in my NSN area is already running three antenna panels per sector -- two "modernized," one legacy. Those racks are basically full, even prior to any Lower 700 MHz deployment.

Sure, antenna panels can be replaced with new, consolidated versions. Or additional racks can be added to some sites. But all of that costs money. So, let us be honest about this. T-Mobile is not in the best position to host Dish -- unless money does not matter.

Look, I do not want Sprint to host any spectrum for or sell/trade any spectrum to Dish. Charlie can suck it. I also hope that the 600 MHz incentive auction keeps getting pushed off into the distant future. Tough beans for low band challenged T-Mobile. Sprint truly needs neither Dish nor 600 MHz. Spectrum wise, Sprint is pretty much set for the time being.

Wouldn't 600 mhz be a significant improvement for sprint's network?

  6. I'd be happy with that. 3G is HORRIBLE....SLOW....: .02Mbps.....Can't do diddly on that....But I will say....Sprint's Voice beats the crap out of any carrier...

I'll be looking forward to your next post on the sponsors forum

  7. It could not decide what to do. It was back and forth, and it even went over to b25 on site 84. (also picked up b26 on site 84 but I am used to that site). Out of curiosity I went to the front of my apartment complex where my apartment faces and it locked onto b41 and stayed there. Didn't stay outside long enough to test and see if it would switch to b26 again, but I am pretty sure it would've.

I don't know how big of an issue this is, but it creates some havoc with my phone. Even now inside I have -114 dbm on b26 on site 244, but I feel like the interference between that, and my airave, and the other random sites that are popping up is causing some issues.

My brother is going to check to see if there is a new tower behind the publix when he gets back from class. He told me there were ericcson trucks over there the other day and forgot to mention it to me. He also said there is a tower, which isn't on our maps.

    Interesting, thanks for the update!
