How do you know which towers have been upgraded to support LTE.

 

 

I've been desperately checking in the oak lawn, evergreen park, Beverly, alsip, areas for a while. I get eHRPD but no LTE. I've been frantically checking the maps for new active towers but no dice. While the speeds in the south and suburban areas have improved marginally, no lte. BTW I work in the west loop and the speeds are HORRIBLE! Any where near Chicago and halsted is pointless. My phone is a paperweight at work with out wifi. But LTE IS COMING. That's all you have to keep telling yourself.

This sucks I can't connect to lte in Chicago. Anyone connecting to lte in the oak lawn, Bridgeview, Palos area.

What happened to the September launch for Chicago

I can't wait for the launch in Chicago. Hopefully it launched in September.

Today I was driving to governors state university and remembered that some people had a good lte connection and decided to test it. I got the lte to connect but I had to switch in and out of airplane mode. I will post my results in a bit. I had perfect coverage from 183rd and up.

Do you know how to update it to the lg8 bc buried to update the firmware and there wast an update

To enable or disable LTE, go to Settings -> More settings -> Mobile networks -> Network Mode and select either CDMA or LTE/CDMA.

I'm in bridgview and I wanted to get the galaxy s3 but I'm gonna have to put up with 3g speeds for a bit.

I've been having same problems and it's getting really annoying. I don't get phone calls, my texts come 1 day late, and my voice mails never show up. Every time I talk to sprint they keep telling me to update the prl & the profile and it doesn't change anything.
