It look like the tower on Grreenback/Hazel is firing up LTE. In the Savemart parking lot there was a fast reading, but driving West down Greenback away from the tower the speeds dropped dramatically.

Was driving by the tower at Fair Oaks/Greenback and saw this. I think it's a Sprint setup, but what do I know

Ah man, that is my neighborhood. Awesome.
Don't get too excited just yet, pull off Greenback and back to the awesomeness of 3G, albeit a tinge better then it was last month.

Picked up LTE on Greenback from Sunrise to Kenneth Ave

I called Sprint last week because I was having issues with poor call quality, go figure. The rep offered information regarding 5 towers in my immediate area being turned on beginning in July and the one I connect to 73% of the time set for Aug - I didn't ask what year, just took it with a grain of salt. If it happens great, if not, meh…

So for me as an average schmoe, what does this work mean to this area of Sacramento?

While out at lunch today, spotted a couple guys up on a lift working on the tower at 8897 Greenback Ln.in Orangevale. Will try to snap pics of it on the way home tonight.
Saw the same (about dang time I might add) here's a pic

Heck Sprint may have flipped the switch, been enjoying LTE for the last half hour.
Maybe Sprint flipped A switch. I've been getting LTE all day long, but only in about a foot and a half square on my desk. If I move the phone over two feet - 3G, a foot outside the window - 3G, out in front/back of my - 3G. When I set my phone in that square - LTE. What gives!?!?

wow really? maybe it just got lit up this morning or something because i was there tuesday night and most of yesterday and had non existent service at Walnut Ave & Elm Ave.
Yeah, I wouldn't get too excited. Maybe it's a safer bet that the Kings will make it to the playoffs before we see consistent (ie usable) LTE. My phone flashed LTE for very short periods, sometimes I'm able to run a sensorly test, usually I fumble too much. It shows most when I wake my phone. It's been shy the last couple days, or more likely I've not been paying attention.

Starting to see some LTE action in Orangevale (off Kenneth between Oak/Central) with regularity. Able to get 2.01 Mbps down and .58 up according to Sensorly but not for very long and I can't get a screen shot of the Sensorly app.

Sprint "Open World" plan (replaces International Value Roaming)

What does Sprint consider "high-speed" in this case? Under the IVR/GR plan, didn't it say high speed at 3G. Which actually is fine outside of Sprint's native US coverage.
Also, how are calls handled FROM included and extended countries TO the U.S.? I'm reading only how calls are free to the included countries. Yes, I tried to get ahold of Sprint International service but was disconnected after holding over 15 minutes.
I was able to add it online, however I only added it to one of our lines. I figure if one of our lines has unlimited calling, and the other has unlimited data, that should cover our needs since my wife and I would most like travel together.
