  1. I'd definitely do a hard factory reset. Sounds to me like an antenna problem. Another phone is showing service and that one is not?

Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk

Any idea if there's any known antenna problems? Is the antenna in the bottom removable part? I thought about buying a new one of those but kind of doubt it would fix it.

I should have bought the cam plus add on when I saw it for $6!

  2. I've had it sit there until I reboot or cycle airplane mode.

Weird thing just happened this morning. Phone was connected to WiFi and charging all night and I just got blasted with 9 texts and Facebook messages from 12 hours ago. So it must not be a network issue but rather something going on with my phone. I'll try a hard reset at work today I think. Any other ideas tho?

  3. Yeah. I only paid $125 for it so I'm not too worried but I don't understand what could be the problem. What kind of hardware problems could there be? I haven't tried to hard reset it yet but I'll probably try that and see if maybe that fixes anything. Then go back to Sprint and see what they say again. Maybe just buy a G6 on eBay for around $330

  4. I have been to Sprint twice and they replaced the Sim card but said all the tests check out and there's no problems in my area. It's bad so I have no idea what to do now. I was thinking maybe it has to do with the bottom chin that snaps on and maybe the antenna is in there and not making good connection. No idea.

  5. I bought a used LG G5 on craigslist and it has terrible connection issues.  Parks on 3G, connects to B41 but gets under 1Mbps, missed calls, texts thru hangouts don't come in until i connect to my WiFi.  Sprint has switched out the Sim card and it's still acting like this.  What would be causing this?  Should i try a hard reset? I sent back a G6 because i bought it before they cut the price but that thing was rock solid. Might have to buy another one now

  6. That is a fantastic deal, I wonder if they would allow full payment without that monthly credit for the discount, which forces you into a 2 year "contract"

I don't know why you couldn't just pay it off after a month.  This is crazy, and pretty much screws the early adopters.  Good thing i'm still within 14 days. Mine is going back for sure now.

  7. This might be a dumb question but I never used a lock screen on my old G4, am I forced to use one now?! It wouldn't be bad if the fingerprint sensor was on the front but with it being on the back I don't want to type my pin in every single time it's sitting on a table.

Ok figured it out.. ignore this.

  8. Had my phone charging on my kitchen counter while I was doing shit and couldn't glance at it from across the room for notifications.. ahh!

Hopefully get $350 for the TV and Google home and $100 for my g4 to pay this down.

I like that it's waterproof but knowing I owe $700 on it makes me nervous to even chance it.

  9. So i'm really considering pre-ordering the G6.  I'm on SERO still and haven't gone through sprint for a phone in years. Should i jump from SERO to one of the new plans?  Any suggestions?

Friend just bought a house with a pool so having a phone thats IP68 certified would be awesome.

  10. They brought back the memory card? For all of July it was just the battery and the cover.

    Sent from my LG G4

My bad, no memory card.  They're cheap enough anyways i guess.

If you buy this phone in the store, do they give you the battery, charger, and leather back? Or, do they fill something out, and ship it to you.

You have to fill something out online and they send it to you.  It says 4-6 weeks.

  11. No phone is really "future proof".

Also, every year you don't upgrade you waste your subsidy which is worth about $20/month - so you've given up ~$1000 in subsidies.  Figure you could have purchased two iPhones and flipped them for double what you paid for them and cashed in that implicit subsidy - that's what I do.  I always upgrade the second I am able to for the most profit so i can put it towards handsets I actually want.

Any time you want to cancel, take your subsidized device and sell it, trade it in, etc.  Promos for switching carriers are so good nowadays that you are really just losing out on incentives.

You should evaluate the cost of your cellular plan/device based on total cost of ownership - similar to a car.

The LG G4 is a fantastic phone, I like it a lot more than the GS6 but I'll say that if I were in your shoes, I'd just get the next Nexus.

Good advice.  I just haven't upgraded because they never know what to do with my SERO plan and i didn't want to lose it.  I also keep thinking about switching to T-MO prepaid so i wanted to keep that option available.  Now i wish i would have got in before the extra battery and memory card expired.  Oh well i'll see what the new Nexus has to offer. Need double tap to wake tho..

I see now that the free battery, cover, and memory card is available until the 9th.. Hmmm

  12. So i have a G2 thats on it's last leg.  I haven't used an upgrade in probably 3-4 years because im on a SERO plan and because i just don't want to be tied to a contract.  Now i've been looking for a used G3 for under $200 to buy but considering actually just using my upgrade to get a G4.  How future proof will the G4 be? my G2 has a hard time with signal sometimes and i know the G4 won't be perfect but it should be better.  The G4 also will be able to roam on band 12 LTE onces that finished, correct? That and CA would be pretty much the only reason i would upgrade over a G3 right now.  Just want to make sure i'm not kicking myself in 8-12 months.  Love my G2 just not sure how much longer it's going to last.  I'd like to hold out and see what the new Nexus offers but the G4 is tempting. Suggestions?

  13. I think it's too late because I already have it enabled. I created a new Google account so I have Snapchat back but no texts, gmail, or music still. Hopefully Google will come through and I can add my tablet number for verification so this doesn't happen again. They asked when my google account was created and a bunch of other questions I don't really know the exact answer to.

I went to sprint to see if they could help me undo my GV port or have any ideas and they had no idea what I was talking about. Typical.

I would lose all my photos, 7.99 all access rate, youtube videos, emails. That would suck!

  14. Not sure where else i could post this so figured i would give it a try on here. I upgraded chrome on my desktop last night and it needed to verify my account by sending me a pin number through text message.  No big deal, right?  Well i have my Sprint number ported to Google Voice account so the pin number i need to log in to google goes to GV and i can't receive it because i can't log in...  I sent in for help and they say it will be 3-5 days before they can verify it's me.  Does anyone have any ideas for how i can see this pin? Disable my port doesn't seem to be an option.  It doesn't give me any other options besides texting so right now im without gmail, texts, snapchat, google music, etc.  Screwed this one up big time.

    Thanks for any suggestions.
