That was a stupid question. You answered that. I may need to go to a corporate repair center.

Was this an indirect dealer or a corporate repair center?Just went to a Sprint corporate store about both of our phones having touch screen issues. The tech immediately asked for our info and ordered new ones for us to be shipped to our house. Painless process for us. Hopefully the new models have the problem fixed because I love this phone.

Can confirm the new update does not patch the APN bug where adding ",dun" removes the entitlement check.

I don't think you meant to reply to me.The WiFi symbol is solid like the signal bars. The WiFi Calling Symbol is the same as it was.

No update here on my phone or either of the store demo devices.Am I the only one who hasn't received the update? I keep checking and it says up to date.

My bet is the holes have always been there, but the need for coverage has increased.Have these holes been there since day 1 or have they only recently developed?

Just my $0.02, but I don't see the G4 selling well because of fierce competition from Apple and Samsung. That, and maybe LG still leaves a bad taste in people's mouths from the Optimus G days of dysfunctional SMS.Could low sales of the G4 be because of the G3 doing so well? Were as people are still on contract and/or they are happy with their G3 that they don't see a need to switch/upgrade quite yet until they get more out of the G3?
Granted there is C.A. and greater RF performance in the G4 and some other minor upgrades over the G3, but to me nothing overly "major." But I guess that's just my opinion.

You can force it sooner with an app called LTE Discovery. Only the paid version resets your connection in the background, but in my area, it's absolutely worth it.So other phones on network work fine? Same issue with wife's S4

Just ran through the NW burbs (Cary, Schaumburg, Itasca) down to Oak Lawn, Alsip and Midlothian with Band 25 disabled on my M8. Solid coverage on B26 and B41 the whole way. I wish I had this experience west of Crystal Lake.

Admitting insurance fraud on a public forum is probably a bad idea.you can do that just add the insurance and wait a couple of weeks and you won't have a problem, I have six lines and had insurance in one line and when one of the phones goes bad I just switch phones and take it to sprint two weeks later and get it fixed

Outage felt in the NW Chicago burbs, too. Connected to LTE but no connection to services.

I can get limited B26 coverage from the Cog Circle tower, but I looked at the sector maps once and none of the towers seem to actually technically cover downtown. 31/176 and 14/176 are the other two whose coverage just barely doesn't reach downtown Crystal Lake.Service in Downtown Crystal Lake is abysmal. No service in Dukes and roaming on VZW in Finn's. Is one of the towers out here? Or has it always been like that? Here's hoping for B26 optimizations..

The network should shunt you off to the best band for whenever you connect. What band priority setup is the best

This thread got dark quickly. Can we go back to talking about hot girls and B26?

Those of you with an M8 can disable B25 to check B26/B41 coverage while you're there. I'm not going this year, sadly, but I do want to see speed tests from congested sectors.

The link does not work in Tapatalk.Should read a few pages back..... http://www.s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/5784-HTC-One-M8-User-Thread&do=findComment&comment=341447
I noted this error already, don't make sense the error that is thrown...

I don't make calls on my M8 (and reportedly couldn't if I wanted to), so I don't mind messing with data settings to fine tune the network.I get the same error setting priority, but I can confirm, disable 25 and I don't get 25. I don't have a reason to really do this, so I put it back on, but it worked for me in my area.

Yep. Connected to -105 B26 here where I get -76 B25.

Just disabled B25 on my M8. Was unable to do this on my G2.

Yeah, I've noticed all Spark phones having super high thresholds for maintaining connections. In some cases, ~-125 on 3G. I sometimes need to switch to Airplane Mode, and disabling Airplane Mode gives me ~-95 B26 coverage. So long as your device has Band 26 enabled, it will scan for it, and the network will push you to it. Band Priorities don't affect what band you camp out on. If you are switching straight from Band 25 to 3G, either Band 26 isn't available, or there is a problem with it.
My band priorities still have Band 25 as first, and 41 as last, yet my device stays on Band 41 or 26 when it's available over 25.
With an active data connection, the phone doesn't want to switch or rescan.

Understood. My problem is I live in a 25/26/41 fringe market, and 25 is preferred and congested, so the phone defaults to 3G. On my LG G2, I set 26 as priority, and specifically downtown I was able to get and keep a usable data connection, speed aside.I've seen others with that popping up. However, you don't really need to change band priority. That only affects the very first scan your device performs. After that, the network moves you around as it sees fit, depending on which technologies are available in your area.

It's not 100 down, but last month this was a cellular dead zone on 1x. Non-congested B25.
