  1. And now the waiting game for a software update to fix LTE connectivity begins.

I just reactivated mine and I have LTE. Maybe it was a prl upgrade?

  2. Just as an update for y'all, the LTE issues made me go back to my Galaxy Note II, but the touchscreen issues (multitouch showing phantom and multiple touches) made me send it back. It's too bad, it seems like a really nice device. Knockon (when it worked) is amazing.

Oh, and auto-brightness never worked either. But that's pretty minor.

I find the camera to be slow to respond and focus in low light conditions... Anyone else seeing this?

All the same issues I had with mine. Went back to my note 2 also. May try the nexus 5 next.

  3. So...who's canceling their orders for the LG G2 now on the Tri-Band news? I'm not...Cause I'm not in a market that will have "Spark" capabilities yet...and by the time they enable it, it probably still won't be out....No Rush....I am in between Tampa and Miami, but I've only been to each twice since I've been here and it's been months...

    How about you guys?

    Anybody want to buy mine?

  4. Quick question for the lucky ones that have the Sprint version in your hands already.

How much bloatware did Sprint put on the LG G2?

Mine had none. I thought that was odd.

  5. I agree with the car dock issue. Though I do appreciate that they have a setting to allow the home screen in portrait and landscape mode.

Car dock is an issue, but I use macrodroid to set the volume all the way up when paired to my car's Bluetooth.

  6. mine will, but rarely, i cant figure out why, when it does. Last night i was in a restaurant, my htc one connected as i pulled up to the place and dropped to 3g as i walked in. I was there about 4 hours. About 2 hours in the G2 magically connected and stayed connected until i left.....

You think this is another different type of SIM card that they are slowly activating?

  7. Mine barely wants to pull 4 down on -111dbm lol

So you guys are able to connect to LTE? I can't connect to it at all. I know for a fact that my area has it.

  8. Update:

Reverted to stock settings with BC25 the only enabled ban on 10/26. I was not connecting to lte, even with airplane mode toggle. Did receive 2 cannot connect to data network errors as well.

Today it connected, on its own, in an area that my HTC One was never able to hang on. Looking forward to an update to see more of this.

What did you have to do to change it to band 25? Mine says band 50.

  9. Also, DO NOT ROOT, control group needs to be as is, out of box or as we'd typically call, "stock". There have been root methods that screw with pretty essential functions and settings. :)

I'm finding it a bit scary (I'd say hard to believe but I don't mean that the guy is lying) that someone who "always had" LTE hasn't even seen LTE at all on the G2. Unless the G2 is only in one location and that location was fridge for your "typical" LTE device because the Note 2 is a known beast, best of class as far at RF performance goes.

My root method would have nothing to do with the LTE. I'm a repair tech for Sprint and 2 of my other co-workers are saying they cannot connect at all also.

  10. I was thinking about popping out the SIM card and reinserting. See if that does anything. Should I do it while the phone is on? Anyone have any thoughts?

It shouldn't hurt it. Did they give you a SIM tool to eject the tray? I don't think I got one.

  11. Lots of dummy entries. That doesn't look clean at all. Phone might not know what entry to use for LTE.

I did notice that when I went into the LTE debug menu. I was getting the same error someone else had before. "Cannot connect to data network". It eventually stopped though. I didn't pull the APN from ADB, I rooted then copy and pasted it. Not sure if that makes a difference.

  12. I haven't been able to get LTE on my G2 at all. At least it says 3G in the status bar. My Note never saw 3G because I always had LTE.
