Anyone else see this?
Hopefully those of us who pre-ordered at $350 will get some sort of refund...
Don't take any chances. Just call/webchat them now and have them credit your account. That's what I did.

I called. I was told to wait until the phone arrives, and then call for the $50 credit to my account. The sales rep told me she made a specific note in my account to give the refund.
I just web chatted them, they said they'll credit my account the $50 now. Thanks for the post.
I'm going to post a comment in the front page S4GRU GN4 article as well to hopefully let anyone else in the same situation know.

Sprint made a few changes in that system wide shutdown yesterday.
1- The $24 price difference between ordering the Black and White Note 4 is not longer there. Both colors are the same price now.
2- The Galaxy Note 4 price 2 yr price has gone down from $349 to now $299 in the Sprint store. This price now matches all retailers and all other Notes from other carriers.
TS
Damn, I already pre-ordered for $349 on the Sprint site and they charged my credit card already. I wonder if they'll give me the $50 back?

Good old Band 25. Valley Fair food court.

Anyone ever upgraded with them before? I never have and don't want to have any issues with losing my ED1500 family plan or them botching it in some way. Their $200 gift card with a phone trade in and note 4 pre order is a pretty tempting deal
I think the $200 back with trade in is available on the Sprint website as well - there's a link there directly to Samsung who'll send you a check instead of a gift card.

This is how they get ppl to upgrade their phone every year

Ah, so multiple APs?
More like one AP with lots of antenna tentacles spread throughout the facility.

if you really need it with you I'd use one of those dry bags that are made for those situations as I believe they float as well. If it falls in the river with out that chances are slim of finding, especially with moving water.
What my brother does w/ his GS5 is that he has one of those camera straps on his bumper case, and carabiners that to his tube.
I think I'll probably end up getting one of those dry cases as you mentioned. I'm not sure how much those affect the camera and speaker quality since they put an extra layer over both. At least I can take some calls and take care of things in the meantime. Would also be nice to have the phone around in case of emergency, etc...
This sounds like a heck of a lot of fun. All the way around!
One of the best parts of living in the Reno-Tahoe area. If you guys are ever in the area or go to LV, let me know and I'll point you towards the best places to go.

Unfortunately just 25/26/41 for LTE so no rural wonder.
Also, apparently no carrier aggregation
Ohhh no...

Sprint is getting the A1586. The Sprint variant of the iPhone 6/6+ supports B41 Spark. Welcome to Triband!
Robert
That's nuts the number of bands that A1586 supports. I wish android manufacturers would do that too.

Each 20 MHz carrier supports speeds of 101/14.7 Mbps..
I wonder why upload is slower than download?

Do people actually take out their phone in the rain or at a pool that much?
TS
Here in Reno, a popular summer activity is to go tubing down the Truckee River. We usually go for about 3 hours, which is a long time to be phoneless.
Sometimes we go down to Las Vegas, where beach / day clubs are a big thing. Unless you're a high roller and can spring for a table or cabana, there isn't really anywhere you can set your stuff down. Ppl just roll up their clothes in a towel and put it in a pile with everyone else's stuff, so it's not the ideal place to put a phone. Thus, the decision comes down to not bringing your phone out at all, but then being phoneless for a large part of the day.

Yeah, I'm disappointed with the lack of water resistance. I was all ready to upgrade.

One day, someone will accidentally crack open one of those panels and then we can see what all those little antennas inside look like.

I believe that one is already broadcasting PCS LTE and 800 voice
Yeah, I think it's supposed to be, but I couldn't get either from it. In fact, many of the towers in South Lake Tahoe seemed to have data issues. I'd get strong eHRPD signal but no data at all. Most of my IMs would just get stuck trying to send and only sporadically go through. My brother had the same problem on his GS5. It's as if someone forgot to plug the ethernet cable into the towers.

At Harrahs (Stateline, Nevada).

Looks like there's a micro cell at VA Reno.

Sounds like work on the LTE Core......
What is the LTE core? Why does it need to be upgraded? Aren't these towers pretty much state of the art already since they were just installed? (tried searching for an article about this but didn't find any)
-
dock is ok, it requires a 2 amp charger to do video and usb
Can you use video (MHL/HDMI) and USB (OTG) simultaneously?
Using the sd card slot seems to kill the sd card slot which is a shame.
Meaning you can only put a sd card in once, and then the slot gets destroyed so you can never use it again?
-
At the Harrah's in Stateline / South Lake Tahoe. Doesn't seem to be LTE here despite the upgraded tower. Toggled airplane mode.

Eaglecrest Drive in Reno (overlooking the Robb/Sharlands/Mae Anne residential area)

Progress at Matley Lane, Reno. These ppl aren't scared of the snow.
It's like a race between the carriers.

Took almost an hour, but finally ordered one. Called the number listed on the thread and the first guy I talked to knew what I was talking about and saw the offer on my acct, accepted it, then transferred me to telesales. Of course telesales had no idea what I was talking about, so transferred me around to ppl trying to get me to add another line and sell me a wifi hotspot. (Even got transferred to Virgin Mobile at one point!!) Eventually, they got it figured out and ordered.
