Its possible, but the signal in tower grove doesn't reach nearly as far. I wish my brain had booted up before I left for work. I might have noticed the signal, but I should be able to investigate/plot in an hour.

I saw ropes hanging off the site at 44 and Lindberg, but being on the highway, I couldn't determine much else. There were also ropes hanging off a site off of 44 at Melbourne and St. Vincent Exd which is NOT a Sprint site but IS a clearwire site.
-
It is a clearwire tower. I just hope that this additional work to the tower helps get 1900 lte running
-
Here are the photos I just took of the fresh equipment install:
The crew had just come down from Michigan, and had Pennsylvania plates on their trailer & trucks. The foreman I spoke with said that they were upgrading a lot of stuff for Clearwire, but didn't have much else by way of information to give.
This site is located at Big Bend Blvd. and Dale Ave. in Richmond Heights, right behind city hall. Here's a Goole Streetview of the tower behind the Hall:
And, since this is within an easy walk of my house, I really hope it's one of those nifty new 2500 sites.
I have seen men putting these up for the last 2 days at 44/jamieson. I didnt know what it was at first, so its convenient that someone else has seen them. That site has NV panels up for weeks but no 4g
-
Yeah, that just happened.

Growing up learning radar, anything that's not a blob or splotch is a blip.

Crews still up high at Jamieson/44. This is the 4th or 5th day not counting rain/weekends. How long does it generally take to get the panels wired up?
-
Work/panels up at arsenal/44. I got a bad pic from the car, will post soon

Picked up 4g at 270+40, not sure which tower (desperes?) I was in a hurry though so I could only map 30 points

I just get the feeling sprint is going to light up 50 towers today... All of them being right outside all of our houses. Anybody else get that feeling?

So if I were to take a trip to south county there would be no lte?
I cant say. Other people have reported connecting with no problem, including my sister on iPhone, but in my two separate trips, I got nothing under stock settings. Maybe the Evo's fault? Perhaps buggy software or prl? Im not an engineer. Maybe fate is just paying me back for having that extra piece of cheesecake.

I've been having trouble connecting to the Arnold tower the last few days...is it offline or my stupid Evo LTE phone?
I drove all over that place including right up next to the tower cycling airplane mode but the only way to get my phone to connect was to use my msl to change my phone to lte only mode.
So I dont know whats up with that.

Man the wind last night was crazy! Woke me up at about 4am. It knocked down the traffic light by me at arsenal/IvanhoeSaying a prayer for all of you in the path of this storm.... including myself....be safe y'all....
But anyway, has anyone else been noticing significant improvements in service recently? Even towers that haven't been touched with upgrades, I am almost never in an area where I can't pull down 1 Meg on 3g anymore. This is starting to get fun. Now it would be cool if some more 4g lit up, since its been a few weeks now.

I guess I'll just blame the phone....or Canada...

It was Tuesday, but I believe it had been accepted by then.

I drove to the tower I Arnold and couldn't get anything. I was all over the place and cycling airplane and nothing. Is it possible that it's not consistently broadcasting?

Yeah, I was just over in Tower Grove, I plotted 10 points before it dropped. I circled all over the area from kindshighway to grand and arsenal to shaw but couldnt get it back
Edit
I see now that the blip on the map is not where i picked it up. I got it at klemm and magnolia, probably the same site
-
I have experienced minor issues with that recently. In the last week 2 or 3 calls took a second try to connect, but it hadn't gotten bad, yet.
Also I did a little bit of plotting on the tower by Tandy park, but I was there at the wrong time of day so I just went as far east and west as it would reach.

So, since St Louis is officially started, should we still expect significant amounts of time between towers going up? I understand zoning and permit regulations must be a nightmare here. I guess I'm just wondering if were going to get bursts here and there or are we going to see one tower go up a week or something like that.

Same here, I'm looking at the tower now, toggled airplane, but nothing.
