  1. Here are the photos I just took of the fresh equipment install:

The crew had just come down from Michigan, and had Pennsylvania plates on their trailer & trucks. The foreman I spoke with said that they were upgrading a lot of stuff for Clearwire, but didn't have much else by way of information to give.

This site is located at Big Bend Blvd. and Dale Ave. in Richmond Heights, right behind city hall. Here's a Goole Streetview of the tower behind the Hall:

And, since this is within an easy walk of my house, I really hope it's one of those nifty new 2500 sites. :)

I have seen men putting these up for the last 2 days at 44/jamieson. I didnt know what it was at first, so its convenient that someone else has seen them. That site has NV panels up for weeks but no 4g

  2. So if I were to take a trip to south county there would be no lte?

I cant say. Other people have reported connecting with no problem, including my sister on iPhone, but in my two separate trips, I got nothing under stock settings. Maybe the Evo's fault? Perhaps buggy software or prl? Im not an engineer. Maybe fate is just paying me back for having that extra piece of cheesecake.

  3. I've been having trouble connecting to the Arnold tower the last few days...is it offline or my stupid Evo LTE phone?

I drove all over that place including right up next to the tower cycling airplane mode but the only way to get my phone to connect was to use my msl to change my phone to lte only mode.

So I dont know whats up with that.

  4. Saying a prayer for all of you in the path of this storm.... including myself....be safe y'all....

Man the wind last night was crazy! Woke me up at about 4am. It knocked down the traffic light by me at arsenal/Ivanhoe

But anyway, has anyone else been noticing significant improvements in service recently? Even towers that haven't been touched with upgrades, I am almost never in an area where I can't pull down 1 Meg on 3g anymore. This is starting to get fun. Now it would be cool if some more 4g lit up, since its been a few weeks now.

  5. I have experienced minor issues with that recently. In the last week 2 or 3 calls took a second try to connect, but it hadn't gotten bad, yet.

Also I did a little bit of plotting on the tower by Tandy park, but I was there at the wrong time of day so I just went as far east and west as it would reach.

  6. So, since St Louis is officially started, should we still expect significant amounts of time between towers going up? I understand zoning and permit regulations must be a nightmare here. I guess I'm just wondering if were going to get bursts here and there or are we going to see one tower go up a week or something like that.
