  1. If I stay on Sprint I'm going to dump the moto x. While it's a great photo it's clear that Sprint never bothered to integrate it into their network properly. From my experience over the the past year :

    CA doesn't work

Domestic roaming doesn't work, native Sprint coverage only.

I have Sprint open world but could not get data in Canada.

I'm going to get an iPhone for the simple fact that it's the only phone you can easily take to other carriers that Sprint knows how to support property, and has wifi calling.

My X pure would not roam domestically at all either. I finally bit the bullet and unlocked it, and re-loaded a custom "Based on Stock" rom and re-flashed the modem. Now it works and roams properly. I think the modem on some (if not all) the x pures are corrupt when it comes to Sprint, and since Sprint seems to be the step-child network in others eyes, it doesent get the attention needed.

I'm a long haul trucker, so I pass through roaming areas all the time. Especially in Nebraska and Wyoming. I passed through those areas, had no signal/data/voice, ended in Portland OR, unlocked, flashed, re-loaded and passed back through, and had roaming like a normal phone. Im not 100% positive but I bet it would run roaming in Canada if I ever ventured up there.

Now it did not fix the Carrier Aggregation as far as I can tell when I'm in CA areas, but at least it works. Currently using CynogenMod on it now.

  2. I read through this, may have missed it, but I drive truck (No external antenna, just using a HTC M8) through I-40 from Kingman AZ to Springfield and back so I've been watching LTE expand almost weekly. Picking up LTE now in fits and starts in Albuquerque NM, as well as Flagstaff AZ now. Also, In and around Amarillo Tx I am picking up B26 as well as B25. Vega Texas is up and running west of Amarillo. East of Amarillo in Groom Tx is LTE strong.  Oklahoma/TX Border (Sayre OK area through Oklahoma City picking up B26, as well as up the I44 corridor.I dont know if you need that for updates to locations and technology or if you would like SignalCheck screen shots of B26/B25 in those areas, I'd be more than happy to provide them in my next pass. Just lemmie know.

  3. Drove through Kingman yesterday, (I drive long haul between Kingman AZ and Springfield MO so I've been seeing each city on that path light up slowly), and they have LTE live near the main part of town. Speed test was about 10mb up 6mb down. (Of course I was moving through town not sitting still. )

Also, when I got home in Bullhead City, AZ, surprise surprise, im showing LTE active there now as well. 7mb down 3up. Unfortunately I live RIGHT on the Nevada/AZ border (Colorado River is about a block from me...) I require an Airave to even  use my phone in my house so in home 4G is just a pipe dream for me, heh.

I dont know if the signal is coming from Bullhead City towers or across the river in Laughlin. No Sensorly reports in my area for LTE so I guess I'll have to fire up mine and drive around.
