I'd imagine this also depends on what the other guys use for voice.

 

I was in China last year with an iPad air, and we never saw LTE, despite supposedly being on networks with compatible bands. I chalked it up as some other compatibility issue or lack of widespread deployment.

 

IPad is also a more worldly device than the Sprint specific M8, hence my skepticism.

Voice shouldn't be a problem because GSM 900 and CDMA 800 are supported on Sprint international devices. Did you use a China Mobile/China Unicom/China Telecom SIM card? Sprint International services doesn't mention LTE International roaming. I've read about people requesting a UICC unlock and then popping in a local SIM card. So I was wondering that if you use a local SIM with a Sprint tri-band device on a network shares one of Sprint's LTE bands (all of the Chinese carriers have deployed LTE Band 41), will it connect to LTE?

I'm about to upgrade from my HTC One (M7) to a HTC One (M8). I'm curious to know that since it's a tri-band device, will it work on China Mobile's and Softbank's (Japan) LTE networks, since they're both on Band 41 (2500 MHz)? These two companies are the only ones I've seen that share at least one of Sprint's LTE bands.

Sprint Social Care Rep. informed me that CC-Calallen will be completely covered with 1900 LTE by December.

LTE is slowly making it's way to Calallen. I'm picking up LTE at five points and at FM 1889 by the two Valero gas stations, but in between is still Ehrpd.

They will likely start to overlay TDD-LTE on WiMax sites in Corpus Christi before the end not the year. It will take a Sprint Triband device to use it.

If Clear is no longer selling WiMAX devices, then why is Sprint? 

Will Sprint convert the current Clearwire WiMAX network in Corpus Christi to LTE-TDD anytime soon?

For those of you familiar with Corpus Christi, my HTC One started picking up LTE near the Citgo refinery. Does this mean that Sprint has started Network Vision deployment in Corpus without an official press release?

 

 

 

I was wondering why I was roaming (Verizon 1xrtt) and my HTC One was still showing 4g for a good 5 minutes. Does this scenario

 apply here, since the bars don't represent LTE signal strength??
