I'm in the same boat as you. My wife laughs at me because either electronics work for me when they don't for others, or they get the sailor speak treatment and end up working. Now if i could do that to some towers around here i wouldn't be in a dog house with some. ????

Ok. I really thought I had found the balance of being able to talk or rant if you will, with people that have the tech knowledge to maybe help do something about it. I have been given info each time that helped me not be upset so that is why I kept coming back. But it is your sandbox so I'll continue to look at the sites around me and hope I can beat floorguy to some info in my area.

I wish it meant something but my tower is EHRPD and speed and voice are the same and it's a legacy tower with no upgrades.

Lived there Junior and Senior High, so I know the place. Yep, they have sprint to. They used a airwave or whatever it's called till recently, they get good cell phone on 800 now but the LTE is around 118db. Old Magna doesn't even get LTE next to the mountain. I tried to map it but I don't think it synced

Just out of curiosity, where in magna are they located? (I don't need an exact address)

Hahaha, trust me I know!! I was just throwing out ridiculous reasons at the end. Even if towers are in sketchy areas that wouldn't prevent them from upgrading the tower!! Come on son!!!

I was at my in laws in Magna and had 4G...sort of.. 800 was nice for phone calls though, LTE was so spotty there the speed was horrible. But that's their house, they live in a dead zone.

Ogden gangs? The towers aren't even close to "bad" areas. I did see Century working on something for 2 weeks in early December on 24th street so maybe they are "preparing" either way the wait is getting nuts

Very true. I just know Comcast is in the area where the Ogden towers are, I look at one tower and my job uses them and we aren't some ma and pa business. Where as Century is still using old copper wires around here.

Why not run on Comcast's backbone? Is there an advantage to Century?

Doesn't make sense to have a few towers just sitting there while all the rest are done or almost done. ????That says start. . Not finish.

Well...I'm not surprised but anger doesn't even describe how I feel towards Sprint right now.

Once upon a time before iPhone I could get 2mb down in North Ogden. Then the iPhone came to sprint and poof..crappy speed.

I have nothing against the iPhone, but it happened.

I'm directly below the tower and 3mb is the fastest they offer, but like the other guy said, I could be 10 houses from speed. Although they have microwave up there so why couldn't they finish it?

I'll take 3 to 7mb over .1 to .3 every day of the week.

Thanks for the info, I wish the 90 or less days thing comes true..voice and data has gone to crap lately here.
