Out of curiosity is it possible to force a phone to scan and connect to a 4G signal only?

I access the ##3283# menu on my EVO 4G LTE and see a few options like "LTE ONLY" or "CDMA LTE only".

Possible?

subsequent tests have been much better after a profile/prl update.

Getting 2.2mb down , 970 kbs up.

Just hit some 4G in Centennial Olympic Park. Atlanta, Georgia.

speed test was absolutely terrible. 280 down and 120 up.
