I don't know what's going on for you guys...I have LTE all over Dubuque. I drove to chicago a couple weeks ago, and had LTE all the way across highway 20!
What kind of phone do you have?
-
Yeah I drove by it at lunch, looks like there were fewer panels up there than yesterday. They must be still in the process of removing the old ones.
-
were they working on the top rack there? the top rack is sprint's and does have the NV panels installed. They are the big ones in the middle with the 2 RRUs mounted behind the panel.
Yes, both times I went by they were working on the top rack.
-
Drove by again during lunch and they had two guys up there in a basket doing something. Additionally, it looked like they were taking panels off the tower. I thought the hardware was installed on all the towers already? Either way, I hope it's soon.

This morning while driving to work, I saw a crane extended up towards the tower by Sam's Club near Asbury Rd and NW Arterial in Dubuque. There were also some trucks surrounding the base of the tower. Going 60 MPH it was hard to see what was actually going on. But hopefully that means that particular tower will be going live soon!

Ahh gotcha, I thought it was a different site since I knew there would also be one down there by Jefferson. That makes sense though, since I do notice both screenshots share a lot of the same numbers.

Update! The serving cell for this one seems to be 466 on band 25. I took a screenshot of this one but the signal strength was negative at the time, but it had been up to 25 dBm.
But wait, there's more! I captured this one down by Sacred Heart, near Jefferson School. Serving cell 9, band 25, and here's a speed test from that one.
Dubuque moving up in the world maybe?
Edit: Love how Samsung misspelled "engineering" lol.

Check...THAT out!...look at that...it only works near Clarke though. But hey -- it's a step in the right direction, yes?

NIICE! Gonna have to go check that out later, almost sounds too good to be true!

I think so. I believe all the towers are prepped and they're just waiting for Internet hookups.

Edit: Wow, two months without an update on this thread!
According to Sprint on Twitter, there's a tower within 1.5 miles of 52001 that is going to be upgraded within 3 months. I have been tweeting #sprintcare on a regular basis, usually every month. They have to be getting tired of hearing from me.
I work on the west side of town and recently saw Centurytel working on fiber for a few days out there around the Pennsylvania / NW Arterial area. Hopefully it's for us and not for someone's Internet service.
-
So I just tweeted Sprint about Dubuque, and they replied that LTE will be coming "very soon." Whatever that means...maybe we can get some love by July?
-
I got that text too. I'm thinking it will be here mid-March...2016.

I'd prefer to discuss items pertaining to the spreadsheet and other perks of being a sponsor in the sponsor thread.- Thanks.
Self-censored accordingly. My apologies for the infraction.

Forgive the noob-ism, but does "fiber capped" on such-and-such a day mean that tower has backhaul and is LTE ready? Or does that mean something else?
On another note, Mediacom has been going offline between midnight and 6AM for the past few days. Maybe they're running new fiber?

Oh boy, not so good news according to this. This shows only 3 locations in Dubuque, but it could be safe to assume it's for all locations in Dubuque:

Any sign of CDMA 800 around Dubuque yet?
I did not hear anything about that, no, but I have not been watching for that either.

In Dubuque, I was at the Sprint store for an upgrade and was talking to the sales guy about 4G in Dubuque. He said that a fire has been lit under their @$$ to get Dubuque done. He said the Sprint rep that comes to the store is always hearing complaints and inquiries about when 4G will arrive and that "it's sad that Mt. Pleasant has 4G while Dubuque does not." I asked if it would be within the next month or so and he gave an adamant "yes", but couldn't give an actual date.

I'm from Dubuque and no 4G here yet...but I was down in Davenport last weekend near the I-74/I-80 area and my phone said it was on 4G...that's all I know...but hey, that's good news for the QCA, right? Here's hoping Dubuque gets 4G soon...I got my Evo 4G LTE a year ago this Sunday and alas, still no 4G in Dubuque.

Is there any reason why a tower might stop broadcasting LTE shortly after coming online? I haven't picked up the one by Clarke in Dubuque the last few times I've been by there, nor have I seen LTE down by Sacred Heart anymore. Could they just have been testing?
