  1. Go to www.sprint.com/spotify, there's a Sign Up button there.

FYI the discount is based on the number of lines in the Framily that have a Spotify Premium subscription. If 5 or fewer Framily members have it, it's $7.99/mo. You need 6 or more people in the Framily to subscribe to Spotify to get the $4.99/mo price. The discounted price is NOT based on the number of people in the Framily, according to the fine print at the link I posted above:

When i click 'Sign Up' it just asks me to login and takes me to the account page. No way to sign up or anything.

  2. Sold my HTC One to someone on this forum (we met at a Sprint store) and got my S5! I like this phone a lot. The design and UI doesn't match HTC but it's more durable and I swear there's a definite RF performance improvement.

  3. Good morning. Swapping SIM cards isn't going to transfer service for you ad the SIM card is only used for LTE service.

Why can't you just return the M8 and get the S5?

I had a G2 and returned it once I saw the new phones were coming out. I apparently maxed out my returns.

  4. So I'm trying to ditch my M8 and not pay a ton of money to get the GS5. I'm trying to sell the One so I can pay it off, hand it over, and get a new phone.

In the mean time, a Sprint rep told me I couldn't open a line and swap the Sims so the gs5 would be on my line and the m8 on the new line. Is that true?

  5. Its quite possible that the device in the store and yours were connected to two different towers. If we are standing in the same spot it is perfectly normal for both of our devices to be connected to different towers.

    Ah that makes sense. Thanks!

  6. I just spent a few hours with the gs5 and it's pretty nice and the back really isn't that bad at all. As far as lte and RF performance, the nexus 5 is still top dog by far. I will say that it is ever so slightly better than the m8. The location I was in when playing with the device was perfect for testing out RF performance. All three devices were connected to the same sector(band 25), my m8 was averaging about -104db while the gs5 averaged about -102db and to me that's not a big enough difference to get excited or disappointed about. My Nexus on the other hand was averaging about -96db.

Edit: I need to add that this was just being connected to lte and not an active connection. With an active data session the n5 was still in first but the m8 was slightly better than the gs5 but not by much.

Thanks for sharing this. Some posts on here made me feel like I made a mistake because this M8 really can't hold a signal for Lte at all.

  7. Blah, wondering if I should have waited for the S5 or not. I really hate touchwiz but if the phone can actually be used on the network, I'll take it.

  8. Definitely recommend a case! Fell out of my pocket on the kitchen floor while sitting at the dinner table and dinged the metal in two places.

  9. I think its a device issue. I myself got a brand new replacement. Same issue on LTE.

Is it possible to get enough complaints in so Sprint/HTC can do something about it?

I was thinking if someone took all the posts and thread addresses and posted on the Sprint community board but I don't know how helpful they are.

  10. I have a feeling that Sprint and HTC will release and update soon enough to fix these connectivity issues.

    I really hope so, friend!

  11. Honestly, so happy I found this thread!

Tried to go to BestBuy to do EasyPay on Thursday and it was a horrible experience. I advise against it. They went through the process twice with the activation erroring out and they charged my CC twice for the down payment and tax. It's appearing as a hold on my account.

Called a few Sprint stores and found one that had it in stock, went in, 15 minutes later I walked out with a new HTC One M8. I'll never go to BestBuy again.

I had a G2 and returned it about two weeks ago and have been using a N5 which worked great. I'm experiencing the same issues as everyone else... it connects to LTE but only 1-2 bars and then falls back to 3G and stays there until I do a soft reset or a PRL update.

The PRL update works sometimes and sometimes it errors out and earlier it just stayed on the screen updating without finishing.  I also get the LTE error occasionally. Sometimes it'll connect to LTE but no data will come through at all and when it's on 3G it'll go from full signal to zero then back again randomly.

With my N5 and 5S, I would get awesome LTE signal at home and while traveling in the Atlanta area. I love this phone and was thinking I had to exchange it but it seems like a network issue or device issue. I'm hoping an update will help or tower upgrades at least.

I had similar problems with the G2 but not to this extent which I find strange. I'm just glad I'm not the only one with the problem as I was really disappointed since it's a great device and the battery is a beast.

  12. My only point is that HD videos are not blocked over cellular for Sprint, you should check out the 4K bee video on your G2; it's gorgeous.

If i want to be "big pimpin" i'll download a 4.1GB test file from the data center server on the master link over at the slave side on 24th ave when im back in Norman. If all goes as planned it takes under a minute. It's true nerd porn.

Are you on one of their newer plans?
