Yeah here in Marysville where I live I'm roaming where I usually get LTE. Wonder if they are doing work on my tower.

I was pretty far from the tower sitting out in my car while taking these screen shots. This is the Marysville tower I was talking about yesterday.

Tapatalk is still having issues so I can't post from my phone just yet but I believe it is the tower in south Marysville near I5

What is "Sprints Internal System?" You said Everett, which tower? Has anyone seen their phones connect to 800 MHz? Great find!
I don't live far from Everett. What is the best app to use to find out what kind of tower I'm connected too?

I was at the parade on 4th and Washington and I couldn't send or receive any texts or connect any phone calls.

Sprint TD-LTE sounds cool, but I'm not excited. While it will be great to have the speeds and capacity, I'm afraid coverage will continue to be poor in and around the Seattle area. Sprint needs to complete with VZW, who seem to kill Sprint with towers. The fact that Sprint's 800 Mhz coverage is not being built out is kinda of depressing. TD-LTE is just overlay, not penetration. VZW has 700 Mhz and a crazy amount of towers compared to Sprint. The only bright spot is that Clear is only on 40% of Sprint towers, so there will be a few exceptions where we could gain coverage. Side note, I do like how Clear places their tower location on their coverage maps.
I'm kind of with you. It sucks we won't see 800 for a while (hopefully next year). Anything dealing with the GOV is slow. Not necessarily Sprints fault but it sucks nonetheless. When is the earliest you guys would expect to see 800?

This happened to me a couple months back when the tower nearest to me first got LTE. It worked great for a couple of weeks then I got a 4g icon but no data. It eventually started working again however (couple of days, maybe a week of no data).

I don't understand that map posted earlier on the US-Canada border. Does that mean anything inside that zone won't get 800mhz until there is an agreement between the two governments? Only reason I ask is because there are other border areas that are getting 800mhz that are outside Washington State that are in the same boat as western Washington in regards of how close we are to the US-Canadian border.

I don't quite get everything said here and I know this is a couple of months old but does this mean they are close to getting a deal done between Canada-US?

It looks like Portland is starting to see a little bit of 800 now... For those of us in Western Washington, does anyone know how far south the exclusion zone for 800 SMR reaches into the West Washington market? Vancouver Island in Canada reaching so far south will take a decent sized chunk out of the available area for 800 -- has anyone calculated this out? from what it looks like anything north of Fort Lewis won't be able to have LTE... I'm in the Olympia area so hoping we'll see some 800...
Also I remember seeing a chart and map with the entire exclusion zones across all the borders -- I can't seem to find it anymore...
Thanks!
Nat
Would love to get more insight on this. It would suck if those north of you got left out. I'm in Marysville and now I'm kinda bummed.

Luis is right, if the market you are in has not officially launched yet, you may show you have a 4g signal but you might not be able to use the data (my 4g data didn't work for a little over two weeks even though I had close to full bars).

LTE in Marysville is working again FYI. Hopefully they'll keep the towers active now or they fixed whatever issues they were having.
Edit:
Short lived back to going to 3g.

The big problem I have isn't that LTE isn't working (I understand this thing is still rolling out) but that it connects but transfers no data. I don't even realize it until I've missed a bunch of communications. So I just have to turn my LTE radio off until it's all figured out.
Yeah that's pretty much the issue I've been having. It's been off and on with some of these towers up north here the last few weeks. When it works it works great though!

I'm having this issue too! It's been driving me crazy. 3G works fine but LTE shows connected, yet little or no data is getting through.

Thank God it's not just me lol. Up here in Everett and Marysville I've been having this issue since late last week.

As it has been stated other times on this forum, is it no uncommon to have a 4g signal but data won't work at all in an unlaunched market. Sometimes it's site and sometimes it's the phone.
Thanks for a helpful reply!

I had this happen about 4 different times...for me it was my phone. I hit restart and data worked fine afterwards.
Tried that, probably rebooted 4-5 times now and it is still a no go

Is it common to have a 4g signal but data won't work at all? I have a 4g signal at home and I have had it for a couple of week now but when I tested it yesterday and again today data won't work at all. Is this an indication that the tower is being worked on again or is my phone not working properly?
